Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Indian general election, 2014. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Administrators can block users from editing if they repeatedly vandalize. Thank you. Gilliam (talk) 12:33, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Bangalore shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - BilCat (talk) 14:04, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello. The article uses Bangalore, both in the article name and at the top of the infobox, and not Bengaluru, since Bangalore is the common name of the city in English throughout the world, including in common practical use in India, even though the official name has changed. Because the official change of the name only applies to official use within India, not worldwide, and most definitely not on Wikipedia. So stop trying to change it in the article, or you risk being blocked from editing. Thomas.W talk 14:21, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Carrom. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. – Gilliam (talk) 09:09, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Carrom. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. – Gilliam (talk) 09:13, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
