Welcome![edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 204.10.62.6, has made unconstructive edits to the page List of destroyed heritage, which have been reverted. If you did this, in the future please try to contribute in a more constructive manner. If you'd like to experiment with the syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. If you did not do this, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors.

You don't have to log in to read or edit pages on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free, requires no personal information, and has many benefits. Without a username, your IP address is used to identify you.

Some good links for newcomers are:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Again, welcome! Ninney (talk) 17:29, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm The Herald. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. Why did I get blocked?[edit]

I don't know the proper process for this but I decided to create my first wikipedia account and it said I was blocked because of disruptive editing. This is my first account, why is my IP address blocked?

Thanks!

This IP address is not currently blocked. The address has been used recently to make edits that were deemed disruptive, but no block was applied. You should be able to create an account. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:50, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind, still can't create an account
It displayed a message, it says "This account has been automatically blocked from Wikipedia"
As well as "Account Creation Error" 204.10.62.6 (talk) 15:31, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The editing ban may have been temporary, while the account creation ban may be permanent. This IP address is part of a range assigned to a school, and apparently a lot of vandalism comes from that school. I'm sorry I can't help you. If you ask the same question inside the scope of a {{help me}} request, you might find an admin who can help. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:54, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It states that the IP is from Jamesburg Public Schools however I do not go to Jamesburg School. That is way far away from where my school actually is.
I think maybe a lot of vandalism comes from that school, however where I live there is no one I am aware of who likes to vandalize wikipedia articles.
I'll ask an admin, thanks for your help! 204.10.62.6 (talk) 16:09, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, as a member of this school, I want to say that I noticed that I saw some unconstructive edit message. This IP address is of a school, and as a student, on behalf of whoever vandalized this, to say sorry. I think I know why this page was chosen. In 7th grade history, we are learning about WW1. It's very likely someone in 7th grade class has vandalized this. 204.10.62.6 (talk) 13:58, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
