Typo redirect Ruslan and Lyudmila
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Ruslan and Lyudmila, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Ruslan and Lyudmila is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Ruslan and Lyudmila, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Piping in Rainbow (disambiguation)
[edit]I've reverted your revert of my edit in Rainbow (disambiguation) exactly for the reason you seem to put behind your revert. Here is from WP:PIPING: piping or redirects should not be used in disambiguation pages.Best, Henry Merrivale (talk) 01:42, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
- Henry Merrivale, I see you also did not read what was below: Where piping may be appropriate: Use piping to add italics or quotation marks to part of an article name; for instance, Harvey (film), USS Adder (SS-3), "School" (song), Saturnalia (dinosaur), "Hush" (Buffy episode), Neo (The Matrix). This is established practice for disambiguation pages, that is used in an overwhelming majority, for example: Baby (disambiguation), Dragon (disambiguation), Human (disambiguation), Milk (disambiguation), Death (disambiguation)... and many other.
- And there is not the point to desize disambigation pages by that way as you did: Rainbow (1944 film); The Rainbow (film); Rainbow (1996 film); Rainbow (2005 film); Rainbow (TV series) ...Except it's awful looks. I've adjusted your good faith in the right direction. Again. Because your practice is a minor practice. It would be better if next time, erasing part of the article or reverting the article's restoration, you will refer to the practice or rule, rather than simply: "better way to do italics". Thanks. — Al3xil ✉ 05:51, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Rainbow/Raduga film
[edit]Thanks for the help on the film page for Raduga. It was about to be deleted since it said only "1944 Russian film" and I came across the speedy delete notice while patrolling recent changes. It seemed a shame to delete an existing movie like that and looking at the internet info on the film, a seemingly important film for the period. Sadly, I had never tried making a page before and my efforts weren't completely up to film article standards. Thanks! Age Happens (talk) 05:18, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Cheburashka-films
[edit]Thank you for your contributions on the Cheburashka-films! I noticed you changed the release dates for Cheburashka (film) (from 1972 to 1971) and Crocodile Gena (film) (from 1971 to 1969). That's the dates that the Russian WP gives, but [www.imdb.com IMDb] lists the films' release dates as 1971 and 1972 respectively. I brougt up this subjec up Talk:Cheburashka_(film). Du you have a source for the release dates 1969 and 1971? Thanks again for your help! --Bensin (talk) 19:37, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of World domination
[edit]The article World domination has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- This article is strictly original research. No evidence is given that any of the real historical information is related to the topic of "world domination." No references are given for fictional "world domination", or that it has even been discussed in secondary sources.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Steve Dufour (talk) 02:14, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Use the correct template

And possibly fill out the Requesting multiple page moves template instead, as it seems you are requesting a move on various articles. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:Zhara soundtrack.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in Heat (2006 film)#Soundtrack. Non-free album cover art is generally allowed to be used for primary identification purposes in stand-alone articles about albums, but its use in other articles is generally only allowed when the cover art itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note-3 and the context for non-free use required by WP:NFCC#8 is evident. There is no such commentary for this particular album cover anywhere in the article, and the use of soundtrack album cover art in articles about films or TV programs is generally not allowed for this reason as explained in WP:FILMSCORE and MOS:TVPRODUCTION.
