Speedy deletion of Vera Isler-Leiner[edit]

A tag has been placed on Vera Isler-Leiner requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion of Brockerhoff[edit]

A tag has been placed on Brockerhoff requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Discussion on your contributions[edit]

Hello. I've started a discussion on your contributions at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Visual_arts in order to get other experienced editors to help edit those articles. Please don't take this personally: I don't believe it's an issue of notability. The articles just need copyediting for grammar and tone. You can find the discussion here: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Visual_arts#Artnet-wik. Thanks for your contributions. freshacconcispeaktome 15:13, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tags[edit]

Please don't remove article tags. All the issues still apply. The tags are not judgments on the article's subjects. They are to alert other editors on work that needs doing. Because these articles seem to be translated from German, copyediting is needed in grammar and tone. Thnaks. freshacconcispeaktome 16:49, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sign[edit]

As a courtesy to other editors, it is a Wikipedia guideline to sign your posts on talk pages, user talk pages, and WikiProject pages. To do so, simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. Your user name or IP address (if you are not logged in) and the date will then be automatically added along with a timestamp when you save your comment. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). For further info, read Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Thank you. Tyrenius (talk) 20:45, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Joe Brockerhoff[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Joe Brockerhoff, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Joe Brockerhoff seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Joe Brockerhoff, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 21:30, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Artnet-wik! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 871 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Joe Brockerhoff - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Vera Isler-Leiner - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Nomination of Vera Isler-Leiner for deletion[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Vera Isler-Leiner, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vera Isler-Leiner until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Black Kite (t) (c) 23:29, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Joe Brockerhoff has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unable to find sources to verify content and establish notability. Only cited source is artist's website

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
