Pratihara

[edit]

In the article Pratihara, you added the information that Pratiharas are called "Gurjara-Pratiharas" in all their inscriptions, and it has been confirmed that they were Gurjars. I went through the reference that you cited -- I couldn't find such information. In your citation, you had given the page numbers as "Pages 1-32". I went through all these pages, and they don't even mention Pratiharas. These pages contain three articles on unrelated topics:

  • Article I: Description on the various classes of vessels constructed and employed by the Natives of the Coasts of Coromandel, Malabar and the Island of Ceylon, for their Coastal navigation (p. 1-14)
  • Article II: Remarks on the school system of the Hindus (p. 15-19)
  • Article III: Dissertation on the River Indus. (p. 20-44)

Can you please provide the exact page number, and if possible, quote some text?

Also, please use attributions. For example, one should not use sweeping statements like "There is no conclusive proof that the Agnikula Rajput clans are of Gurjara origin;" or "Pratiharas were certainly of Gurjara (or Gujjar) origin". Instead, the statements should be attributed: "H. A. Rose and Ibbetson stated that there is no conclusive proof that the Agnikula Rajput clans are of Gurjara origin;" and "Vincent Smith believed that the Pratiharas were certainly of Gurjara (or Gujjar) origin". Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you.

Rajputs and Gurjars

[edit]

It is well recorded in indian history that all the rajput royal clans (chauhan, tomar etc) were actually derived from Gurjars, please see the followinf reference

Speedy deletion of List of Gujjars

[edit]

A tag has been placed on List of Gujjars, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Maharana Pratap may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. Proposed deletion of Harsana

[edit]

The article Harsana has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG. No reliable sources discuss this community. It appears to be just another Indic name.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Rajput, did not appear constructive and have been undone. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page.

This removal is unacceptable. You may not like to see Gurjars conjoined with Ahirs etc and/or described as cultivators but the statement is reliably sourced. You didn't supply a reason for the removal but I can't think of one that would be valid anyway. You really need to get a grip on the information contained at WP:NPOV because I see you failing to comprehend at Talk:Origin of the Gurjara-Pratiharas also. Sitush (talk) 10:07, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:Rajput. Such edits are disruptive and appear to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Sitush (talk) 11:06, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You removed my comment with this edit made 19 minutes later. That is not an edit conflict, although I suppose it could be carelessness. I have reverted you and you will have to reinstate your point below mine. Please also remember to sign your posts - see WP:SIG regarding how to do this. - Sitush (talk) 11:08, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It was done by mistake because of 2 pages opened simultaneously. I just happened to see that you are unwell, not the right time to ask so many questions maybe. Get well soon dear. Won't bother you anymore today :-) .The Real Rana (talk) 11:22, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Origin of the Gurjara-Pratiharas. Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement sanction

[edit]

The following sanction now applies to you:

topic banned for six months from any edits related to Gurjar, Rajput in particular and to anything related to caste and social groups as well as historical kingdoms. This sanction applies across all name spaces on the English Wikipedia.

You have been sanctioned for repeated disruptive editing and an unwillingness to listen to any advice and an inability to edit collaboratively or comply with our policies and guidelines

This sanction is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/India-Pakistan#Final decision and, if applicable, the procedure described at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.

You may appeal this sanction using the process described here. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal to the arbitration enforcement noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. —SpacemanSpiff 08:53, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

These edits are a violation of your topic ban. I'm letting this go now but any further violations will result in a block. —SpacemanSpiff 09:14, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Since you asked on my talk page: You can not edit about Gurjars, Rajputs, or any other caste or social group or any historical kingdom, anywhere on the English Wikipedia. This includes, but is not limited to articles, talk pages, user talk pages (including your own), templates, etc. —SpacemanSpiff 09:42, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello, I'm CASSIOPEIA. I noticed that in this edit to Swami and Friends, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 11:42, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

It appears that you are now back to adding conspiracy theories and the like around Gurjars. You've been warned and topic banned for this behavior in the past. If this continues, your editing privileges will be revoked. —SpacemanSpiff 03:01, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yes, saying that we find “Chauhaan and tomars” in Gurjars is a part of some conspiracy theory my dear mod?

What should we do then to prove that Chauhan and Tomars are two common surnames used by Gurjars ? Pls tell this to the Ex member of parliament Sanjay Singh Chauhan that you Wikipedia doesn’t consider them as Gurjars or doesn’t consider them to exist at all?

You know it’s soon going to be the reason of fued among two communities in India on the onset of a movie “Prithviraj chauhan”. Wikipedia article saying there are no Chauhan Gurjars might be the center point of argument for this feud. Why shouldn’t we Gurjars sue Wikipedia in Indian court for misinforming people and causing this feud?

It’s a humble request. Your banning me isn’t the solution. Why don’t you read and dig out the truth for yourself sothat you can provide people with the truth and not the fabricated theories that were made popular to obliterate one particular group that was against the British. The Real Rana (talk) 16:36, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The legendary epic Prithviraj Raso mentioned Someshvara, father of Prithviraj Chauhan, as a Gurjar on page 22 of the original Prithviraj Raso Version. Please see the following link:
