RE: DQ Archive
Please see WP:VG/IPC. --Izno (talk) 04:02, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- Also, thanks for this edit. -_- --Izno (talk) 04:05, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- Generally a normal behavior indeed, but the task force (IPC) is set up to consolidate info. With the project deleted, the page was floating out there in the middle of nowhere. Other WikiProjects' archived talks have been previously moved to subpages of WT:VG, which is why DQ's also was.
And please, don't assume bad faith of me yourself by telling me to AGF. Oh, the irony of that guideline. --Izno (talk) 14:52, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

- It was moved deliberately so people could find it if they need to (and they can, because they can access talk page archives of WT:VG quite easily). Leaving it where it is isn't a good idea. If you must, I'd rather it be located at a subpage of WT:WikiProject Square Enix, preferably WT:WikiProject Square Enix/Dragon Quest archive. And really, don't tell me not to belabor the point. That's just talking down to me unnecessarily. --Izno (talk) 21:50, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Argh
Re Wikipedia:Featured topics/Lists of United States Naval Academy alumni Why are you doing this ex post facto? It's already a FT and when it was a candidate that is how an experienced FT person said to set it up. Now long after it's over you keep reverting it. ???? — Rlevse • Talk • 18:15, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- And you decided this major change all by yourself with no discussion? Respond here. I hate split threads. I get so tired of people involved in something not agreeing on things and changing them all the time. Just like in this case, I get told to set it up one way and you come along and change it because you don't like it. This: "This user does not give a fuck." is quite an interesting juxtaposition with the "professional level of English" userbox. — Rlevse • Talk • 20:03, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- Please see this thread. Dabomb87 (talk) 23:30, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- Dude, chill. I apologize for being bold and changing something that I felt needed to be changed? I made the bold switch a couple of months ago and I took the widespread lack of caring as tacit assent. Also, I point out to you that I was not "changing them all the time". I made the change once and then I reverted you once a couple of months later. Also, I hope your observation of my userboxes is not meant to be a personal attack on the quality of my English skills, Mr. Administrator-who-really-should-know-better. If you took the time to read WP:DGAF, you'd realize that you're really making too big a deal out of this tiny issue. At any rate, I'll throw in my two cents at Dabomb's discussion, but I really don't feel too strongly about it. Cheers, Axem Titanium (talk) 14:49, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

You're doing it wrong
Didn't move Category:Science fiction video games
Look what you're doing. --Ostateczny Krach Systemu Korporacji (talk) 18:56, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
And what are you doing NOW, deleting categories? --Ostateczny Krach Systemu Korporacji (talk) 19:05, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Okay, so
the games category is because X-Com were also novels and the general franchise article.
But I guess races caetgory may be safely deleted. --Ostateczny Krach Systemu Korporacji (talk) 19:12, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Let me do this properly. --Ostateczny Krach Systemu Korporacji (talk) 19:12, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Out of process emptying of categories
Please refrain from emptying categories out of process. If you want to empty a category you need to nominate it atWP:CFD, before you make the changes! Vegaswikian (talk) 19:42, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- Well WP:BOLD is commonly used to do many things. However with the impact of categories it is best to discuss. A good number of the discussions, wind up different then nominated. Vegaswikian (talk) 23:34, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
How many people you need to tell you to STOP DOING THIS WITH EXISTING CATEGORIES? What's up with you? --Ostateczny Krach Systemu Korporacji (talk) 14:06, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
I see that you are still doing this with Fictional cities and towns. Vegaswikian (talk) 23:14, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Category:Female video game characters
Did an audit of all the other character articles wikipedia has and...yeah, that's all of them. I mean I won't say that *should* be all of them, just that any other articles don't exist yet and the vast majority did get merged. I disagree that it's underpopulated with that in mind: it'll expand as articles come into existence, just people aren't writing the ones on notable characters.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 12:55, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

"Axem"
Just a curiosity, is your name by chance derived from the "Axem Rangers"? The Clawed One (talk) 19:02, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- No reason, just curious. I loved Super Mario RPG is all. The Clawed One (talk) 16:07, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- I sympathize, I've used "Drake Clawfang" for almost as long. The Clawed One (talk) 16:15, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- No idea, I do very little here anymore and have forgotten a lot of what I have done. It's possible. The Clawed One (talk) 17:07, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Template deletions
when tagging templates for deletion please wrap the deletion tags in <noinclude></noinclude> otherwise you will also be tagging everywhere that template is being used. which can create quite a mess. tagging those two templates ended up making CSD grow to 51,524. βcommand 16:56, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Re: List of awards and nominations received by Danny Elfman
Your recent edit to List of awards and nominations received by Danny Elfman changed the external links section so that the description of the link now says "List of awards and nominations received by Danny Elfman" in stead of just "Danny Elfman" at Allmusic. Is there a way to correct this? --Another Believer (Talk) 02:48, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
colons on not and box art
I am pretty sure it's been discussed before on WT:VG somehwere in the last few years, but we cannot assume that a subtitle should or should not have a colon based only on a box art or logo, due to the fact that some covers imply it with smaller text, some don't. We need to use reliable sources and in this case for Sly 2 and 3, pretty much everyone says to include the colon (including SCEA and most common gaming review sites). --MASEM (t) 04:30, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Another whitespace template
Have you seen {{in}}? It has almost no transclusions and was recently changed from a template which produced the symbol . Before that it was used for football (soccer) matches to indicate when a player was "substituted in". As far as I can tell it is completely equivalent to {{spaces}} in function. TFD? Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 18:11, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- The indenter Template:In is used to indent, by up to 40 equal-size spaces, while Template:Indent alternates en & em-size spaces. They are both universal templates and have been in use all during 2009, as I explained to User:Plastikspork. -Wikid77 (talk) 10:42, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
- And there was no consensus to change the template from its previous function. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 17:13, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
- That prior math-symbol version had not been used in years, and there was no consensus to delete the spacing template which had been in use all during 2009. Plus, as the author, I was not even notified that a TfD had been issued by User:Plastikspork, who forced the deletion of a universal template, then get this, changed several closed-AfD archives in a rabid obsession to rid Wikipedia of that universal template. I naturally restored the contents of that universal template, and on 3 occasions the template was quickly reverted to the math symbol "\in" thereby violating WP:3RR. At which point, User:Plastispork protected the reverted template as a high-use template, which is a total lie, and an illegal use of protection. In other words, the unbalanced, frantic actions of User:Plastikspork have violated so many policies and norms that the overall behavior is utterly bizarre, especially when deleting a universal template. I'm not implying User:Plastikspork is the only user issuing TfDs that omit the author, but the frantic other policy violations are just way over the edge. Here, I have been working, trying to advance the structure of both English Wikipedia & the Commons, and I am thwarted by such bizarre reactions. I'm just stating this for the record: it's all too petty for me, and I can't waste any more time this week. -Wikid77 (talk) 02:48, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, not for nothing, but I'd prefer if you didn't jizz all over my talk page with your WP:POINTy shit. Plastikspork left a message for me so mind your own damn business. Axem Titanium (talk) 04:59, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
TFD
I have relisted some templates you nominated here. Due to the nature of the discussion, the relist was split into three different discussions, and hence, it was not possible to simply move comments up to the new discussion. I simply copied your original nominating statement to the three new discussions. Feel free to comment further if you have any more input. I have alerted all the editors who commented in the original listing. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 13:45, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom
The article The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Does not indicate encyclopedic notability tho it may after release. The NPR ref is 404.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Jeandré (talk), 2009-10-10t20:10z 20:10, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Template:FT-star
A tag has been placed on Template:FT-star requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).
Thanks. RL0919 (talk) 12:44, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- There are a bunch of other templates at Template:Icon/doc#See also that you probably want to look at. I support this. Cheers, Axem Titanium (talk) 19:48, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Just curious...
I don't normally go around contacting random people whose usernames look mildly familiar, but were you ever a member of the Axem forum at Gametalk.com, years ago? If not, please disregard this message. :) It's just that references to Super Mario RPG are few and far-between nowadays, what with these kids today and their "haloes" and their "plays-station".
KHAAAAAAAAAAN (talk) 05:51, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
- Haha, yeah, it's pretty unbelievable to think of how many years ago that was (mid-mid-life crises FTW). It's okay that you don't recognize this username, I have hundreds of them. :P I went by Axem Mercenary back in the day, though. I don't know if you and I even talked all that much. It's a funny thing, though... I've been on a veritable nostalgia binge for the past month or so, what with GeoCities closing down and all, so it's weird that I happened to stumble across your userpage. If you're curious how that happened, by the way, your userpage is listed on the first page of a Google search for "yu-go-oh abridged," just above the YouTube links. It's funny how small the Internet seems sometimes. :)

Sonic Characters Template
I changed back Dr. Ivo Robotnik, to Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, it's a name canon used in some Sonic 1 re-releases and in some alternative universes like comics.
The reason was this one shown already in history of the template. "To help avoid confusion to people "new" to franchise and discrimination of both "Names" since they are both important to character. Don't change this just for selfish reasons."
Since this isn't an article name, I hope that you don't mind for the sake of other people and for the facts. Thanks :) --85.242.104.3 (talk) 21:47, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
