Ok, well commons is where you upload your images. Obviously they cant be copyright and if its not your work must complete with information. Ok in my opinion flikr is the best place to find non copyright images as you can select in the advanced search section that you want creative commons images they must have one of these logos to be allowed on wikipedia http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Upload&uselang=fromflickr <--- look there for logos. Ok so when your putting the images on wikipedia you can eathier put them in an info box, on the page or in a gallery.


When your putting them in an infobox (remember to put thumb or sizepx

When putting them in a page (

Okay then, that makes more sense than I thought it would! The only thing I don't get is how to get the pictures from Flickr to the commons, its probably really simple but I cant use the right click save way on Flickr. Ok, lets start by putting an image into a gallery, try this flikr image and put it into the eddie stobart ltd gallery http://www.flickr.com/photos/darren_hall/5622059805/ just right click it click large then right click and download. I like music related subjects the most. I was wondering too with copyright, if a picture on Flickr is okay to be uploaded here without infringing copyright but it has people in the picture, would it still be okay to upload or would you need permission from the people in the picture? birdstothewind 09:20, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome Page

Here is a user page I have design using your user boxes if you decide to use it you should change to latin gibberish to an about you section http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Birdstothewind/about also I have seen some of your contributions and have decided that the next lesson I was planning is not needed. Also I have set up archiving so thinks posted on your user page over 7 days old will be moved to an archive (please dont remove top code, feel free to remove the userbox though.) I just looked through it all properly, its really good! Thank you so so so much for doing this, I've always found it so confusing. I will probably move the design over to the main user page as I want it to be the first thing thats seen, and I cant get my signature to redirect to the about page. Making a user box

Ok this is the code all you need to do is change the colours so for border-c = you just need to google html colour codes and find the code for the colour you want , id is the thing on the left ( you can insert image) and info is message. Also when making it you will need to make new page User:Birdstothewind/userbox/NAME OF USERBOX its simple then for the userbox page this will be a page where they all appear you need to put the following

I have pre put the code for the userbox page so now all you need to put is name of user box in usbk
