Did I do the the right thing?

Re: Vandalism

[edit]

Sorry about that. I didn't realize these thing were frowned upon since this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sashanan has been up for quite some time, and is far more damaging. Won't happen again.

Thanks

[edit]

Will try not to bother you again, LOL Anything I can do to return the favor, just ask. In spite of my outrage and anger in the beginning, you have proven to be quite rational and fair. Sorry we had to go through all this, but I believe a better day is coming and that such kindness and understanding will be rewarded. Thanks again.

Pseudonyms

[edit]

Yes, that name was given, and has been used, but it is also a real person who is only peripherally associated with our group. Would appreciate all the names being taken down for that reason. As I said before, these guys want to "expose my secret identity" so the branwashed idiots who follow them can seek me out and attack me. It is the same game as being played on Karl Rove. Was invented by Hermann Goering, "Tell a lie long enough, and often enough, and loud enough, and some people will eventually believe it. " Of course, in WWII Germany, they had no choice, everything came from the propaganda ministry. That is what these attacks are, propaganda. I really don't know why any of the Bullshido crowd hate me so vehemently. As you can see, none of their accusations have any validity. But, they have made a "cottage industry" out of harassing and hounding me for years. Anything you could do to get them off my back would be appreciated. Had to block three new trolls this week on my own Message Board. All of them feeding off this Wikipedia entry because it has been stirred up by the discussion, which is, of course, ably reported on Bullshido. It's a little troll network of trouble-makers. Unfortunatley, there are no laws to stop them, and I wouldn't want any at anyrate. Men of good will and good faith can work together to police and clean up the internet. No need for government intervention, that only slows things down, LOL Thanks again for your consideration. Have a great weekend.

Fire Star, looks like the trolls are at work all over now, eh? Hate to bother you again with my little war but as you can see the Discussion thread toward the end is totally cluttered by this Sam Brown jerk. Even though I have made him and the others look like a fools, I'd just as soon not have all that trash online at all. At the very least block Sam Brown so I don't have to keep playing "last word" with him, LOL

Spoke with Howabout1 a few days ago and he was kind enough to re-word some of the entry on me to make it less of a slam job. Would ask one other favor in that regard. Please remove the names given as aliases. First of all, they are not aliases, they are friends of mine, some of whom have already started getting harassing phone calls because the trolls know how to track down a name and have the area in which to look thanks to the details given. I compare this to the current "outing of Valerie Plame" in the news media. Revealing what the trolls believe to be my "real names" just encourages stalkers like the one I indicated above. Not to mention other people with the same names who might be targeted inadvertently. You might not think there is much danger from these miscreants, but, at the very least, the flame war with them on the discussion page clearly shows how rabid and dedicated they are to my destruction.

Please consider this, thanks.

RE: Vandalism

The only reason I wiped the page out is because I don't know any other way to "edit" a page like that then to start with a clean slate...I'm used to working with programs like Dreamweaver, etc., and I don't like there being content already on something, so if I'm going to put something on a page, I like it to already be blank, so what's the big issue with wiping out this page? Unless you have any other suggestions with how to edit it? I thought the purpose of this "Your first page" thing was to have a page to write an article from scratch on? Hi Coolcat. I did reinsert your photo, and I don't object to your other edits, but I want to keep as much info, pro and con, in the article as possible. That was why I rolled back to the earlier version. I'm not going to put anything in myself. I did relink to your photo, and please feel free to put in as much other stuff as you like, I was mostly concerned not to lose anything. Sorry about the mix up. Fire Star 2 July 2005 17:34 (UTC)

As you have seen, it doesn't matter what I say, these trolls just keep harping on the same meaningless trivia. I have conformed to the requirements you set down in you latest post on the discussion thread. But, as you see, all it does is give the them more fodder for their mania. I don't want to "request any more comments," because, as I said in the post so far, I do not enjoy these flame wars. All they accomplish is to give attention to lonely little punks who delight in causing trouble. You watch, their next criticism of me will be that I'm not a true Ninja because I spend all my time defending myself on the internet, LOL I believe I have demonstrated who is the sane person in this "controversy" and who are the mental defectives. I trust that this will suffice for your "consensus" and you will post a proper page and protect it from future edits by these morons. Hope you have a good day.

Ashida Kim

Here Is Why Ninja Hide

[edit]

from James Bennett, Australia Dear Terou (Ashida)

I had a bit of a funny enquiry the other day from a guy called Bradley.. LeTerian the Godfist asia_i@hotmail.com // I have been speaking to this guy for a couple of years (on the odd occassion) he was originally introduced to me by Daniel... the guy is in the Military and does some serious grappling... he is a pretty big Black fellow.. who up to and including now has always been friendly and polite./..

Anyway i'm getting to the rub.. He asked me if I know your "real name" - he reckoned he was pretty sure you lived with a friend of your's in Florida... He reckoned he wanted to catch up with you and talk to you, as he believes you are a pretender and are full of lies...

Me I said I didnt know all that much about you, other than you have always been friendly and never any bother to me or anyone else for that matter. and politely told him to think about his actions, as he sounded a little bit over the top.. and stalking someone to have a verbal discussion could be seen as aggressive behaviour.. .. anyway I ended the conversation nicely as always ...

I told him if I knew I wouldnt tell him,, just like he wouldnt want me giving his details out... But I thought you should know everything you can, because he sounded serious about catchin' up with you... which I think is a little bit fucked up... cause if someone came around my place wanting to defrock me it wouldnt be very pleasant... because I wouldnt be standing about jaw-jackin.. and taking any sort of abuse from some disgruntled fan...

Apparently he is Living in Florida. He has always said he is in the Military and he has served in Germany for some time.. .. and goes down to train with some guy who lives in Florida - that was on some Martial Arts reality show..

From what he has said, he is married with 2 kids.. .

He reckons he has spoken to you many times and said he even offered to fight for you once,, but you upset him or some such tripe...

Hope i'm not alarming you,, but thought you really ought to know.,,, as this guy really has a stick up his bum about you... I told him you were a friend of mine and he should drop it,,, but I dont think he will... .

[You see, guys? I know nothing of this clown. I have never met him. I couldn't possibly have done anything to him personally. I haven't even been to Australia for ten years. But, his mind has been so poisoned by the propaganda at Bullshido and what was here, that he feels compelled to seek me out and fight me. As I said above, Ninjitsu is not about fighting. It is about self defense, and the best self defense is not being there. Thank you for the changes you have made. Just know that the only "controversy" about me is fabricated and disengenuous at best and malicious and dangerous at worst. A little common courtesy and respect go a long way.

I remain,

Ashida Kim]

And here is today's follow-up from James...

Terou..

No worries,, just thought I better tell you... he rabbited on how he knew you lived with a friend of yours and all about your real name etc-- etc... and that he tracked you down blah blah blah... im in aggreance with you, if they really want to find someone you can - they just have to be prepared for an ass whoopin' if they sneak up on you-- haa

Daniel also tried to talk this guy around... by saying leave it be .. etc --- Daniel was a bit concerned because he seemed to know your name ... Daniel said he was concerned because it was the same one as on your passport... so be careful,, but yeah the world is full of nut job wankers wanting to feel superior by trying to bring someone else down./..

You know the funny thing that sticks with me about writting my book,, is the fact that so many people said you cant do that... like it was illegal for me to achieve anything.. haaa./.. human nature , someone else succeeding makes others feel inferior..

anyway keep well... check out the new pics on my web site.. I will speak soon

dont let the turkeys bring you down.. do what I do these days.. Zero tolerance towards the assholes...

James Bennett

[Now, if this clown comes up in my yard and I have to kill him. I'm going to hold the lot of you responsible for sending him my way. This is NOT a game gentlemen. Actions have consequences. Hope you are proud of yourselves. If you want Sensei Bennett's e-mail address so you can verify this threat, since you are always wanting me to "cite my sources," you contact me privately. See, unlike you, I wouldn't publish something about him that would draw fire. Thank you again for the changes you did make. Do feel a bit "damned by faint praise," however, LOL "extra in a few movies" and "publicity stunt," really! I never told those jerks it was a publcity stunt, I told them to send me the money and we'd talk. If they don't have $10,000 to put up, then they are not serious about getting in the ring. They said they couldn't trust me, that I'd just run off with the money. Haven't run anywhere yet have I? They won't trust me with cash but the want me to trust them not to gang up or shoot me? Proves they are not real contenders. All part of being a kung fu killer, boys. Even David Carradine gets punks like this challenging him and he doesn't even claim any ability, just that he is an actor. I don't see any entry bashing him on your "encyclopedia," LOL You asked me above to have patience in case someone came in and wanted to change the page back. I say unto you that we aren't done fixing it yet. And, when it is done, it should be protected so we don't have to go through all this again. That seems fair to me,let's talk. I remain,

Re:Ashida Kim

[edit]

Hi Fire Star, you seem to have handled the situation with Ashida Kim well, the article looks stable and quite neutral in my opinion. I must applaud the polite way you handled this potential edit war! I would probably have acted more bluntly, given Ashida's widespread reputation as one of the geatest kooks of the entire MA world. I'm currently on WikiBreak, just dropped by to check the news on London bombings. I'll keep an eye on the Ashida article too, as my time permits. P.S. while we are talking about ninjutsu, check out also Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Saito Ninjitsu. jni 7 July 2005 11:33 (UTC)

Another Closed Mind Heard From

[edit]

Don't much appreciate you calling me "one of the geatest kooks of the entire MA world" when you can't even spell GREATEST, LOL Your post only shows that your mind is as closed as the political assassins at Bullshido. How can anyone EVER get a fair shake from administrators like you? Have you had fun watching me answer all these stupid allegations? Did you even read what I wrote? If you had, you would have seen that I am the injured party here and yet have defended myself with both grace and honor in YOUR arena. Still not good enough for a closed mind, is it? LOL Get back in touch with me when you grow up. Right now you are just a waste of skin. I'm not going to tolerate YOU or any of these other jackasses calling me names and slandering me anymore. Wakarimasuka?

Ashida Kim

Sorry

[edit]

That post about calling me a kook was a copy of the one I left for JNI on HIS talk page. Wasn't intended as a slap at you. Still, we have been at this a week now and all we have is a long thread of trash. You have seen that no matter what I say, it just feeds their mania. If you really want to be thought of as an encyclopedia that is factual, I ask again for a simple article that is not a personal attack calling me a fake and a McDojo. As I pointed out to that moderator, I meet NONE of the criteria for that category. So, the only possible reason for such a link to my name is to discredit me. I'm willing to acknowledge what you consider "controversy." But, let's be fair and balanced here. Like the line I gave below. It has both sides in a single sentence. The first half should satisfy the critics, who remain unnamed. The second part is not self promotion, it is a fact. Also, let's get rid of the whole discussion thread on this thing. Most people never read that part, only what they hit on the first page. The thread is far too long and redundant because the trolls just keep beating the same dead horse. If they want to come back and trash me on the Discussion page, I can live with that and won't even come here to defend myself against them. So long as we get a decent first page and a link to my site. Not meaning to bring up a dead subject myself for motivation, but I still say it was unfair to put this misinformation up about me for a year and never even tell me about it. Whaddaya say, Fire Star? can we wrap this up. I really don't enjoy arguing with these people. It makes us all look bad.

Ashida Kim

Second Appeal

[edit]

Okay, we've had our little flame war and I've whipped every butt and answered every accusation. I again request that you remove this personal attack and post a proper biographical sort of entry. You can even say that "some people think Ashida Kim is a fake, but his books have continued to be best sellers domestically and internationally for 25 years." If you want. You can see from all these attacks that none of them are anything except jealousy. No crime has been committed here, just a bunch of bullies trying to run me down. Did my part, up to you guys to do yours now. Lest YOUR credibility come into question. No point in leaving all that troll thread in place either, let's get rid of that too, even though I do look good on it, LOL

Ashida Kim

Third Appeal

[edit]

I see you moved Second Appeal down here, which indicates you read it or at least saw it, so I'll try to conform to the rules and not post this at the top. Today's "discussion" is just more of the same tripe. Here is my reply to Sam. It pretty well expresses the need to be done with this issue. One last point on this, last night we had a bunch more filth dumped on our Message Board by these clowns that had to be deleted. You see that letting this goes on just produces more terrorists/critics, don't you?

"No point talking to a troll. Anything you say just feeds their insanity, LOL None of your arguments are relevant or material to the issue. Issue being that you came here to character assassinate me and I caught you. You project your own inadequacies onto me to get attention, that's all. Now you think you will "trick" me into no longer defending myself because I am "unintentionally amusing." That's the game I called last week. "See he can't be a Black Belt because he spends all his time on the internet.." One day you will grow up, Sam. And, realize what is important. And, this ain't it.

You come in now dragging a bunch of other names into the thread because I have defeated you in every post and you are looking for a new angle of attack. Just another game. Never did speak to Hayes to confirm my story, did you? You just come up with more allegations; because you love to hear yourself jabber."

Ashida Kim

Thanks

Hiya, I notice the above user made this edit [1] to your page. This is the mostly the same content as User:Angel77 appears to have made, and I am now convinced they are sockpuppets of each other. I suspect that they are also User:Zell Miller, who seems to object to the unavoidable fact that my username when written backwards is Lir, who is apparantly someone they object to. Shaolin influence on neijia

[edit]

When you say that the neijia "inherited many of their forms from Shaolin," do you mean forms as in postures or forms as in taolu?
JFD 05:56, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

More as inherited individual postures than complete routines. Ride Tiger (跨虎) is a good example. As well as themes such as snake, dragon, crane, etc. Soft stylists traditionally attribute the influence to the time of the Song dynasty Neo-Confucians.

That far back? This is what I've got:

  • Yin Fu style Baguazhang being influenced by Yin's foundation in Luohanquan
  • Taijiquan's basis in General Qi Jiguang's Record of Military Training, which in turn has its basis in Northern "flood fist" Hongquan
  • Most controversially, Xinyiba (心意把), for which the case could be made that this Shaolin art is as old as the Shaolin arts themselves and is the ultimate root of Xingyiquan. If true, this would predate the Tang Dynasty, let alone the Song.

Taoist

[edit]

Thanks for cleaning up on Moy Lin-shin. Some of the information may have been too vague. I do not agree with all the removing and changing you did. For one: you changed it in: ...Moy Lin-shin said that he had learned a range of internal martial arts... This implies that it may not have been true. That is a POV. He did in fact learn and teach these arts. You also removed some other information that is factual. Do you mind if I gently change this and a few other details? Maybe we can come to an agreement._JohJak2 14:59, 15 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

romanization in the MA article

[edit]

Hi,

I noticed you changed tai-ji ch'üan to tai-ji ch'uan. I understand that was probably because the article title itself is mis-romanized, but I think the romanization should be corrected all around. The way it is now we've changed a fist into a boat. ;-)

Pat

What's wrong with my post about Furey?

I read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Candidates_for_speedy_deletion#The_cases and what I posted to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furey meets none of those criteria. - BunMan

Entry on Li Hongzhi

[edit]

Fire Star: you reverted my changes on that entry several times, but it appears to me you haven't read what I wrote on the discussion. I think although your'e an andminstrator you should look at my reasons for why I made those changes, and tell me where I was wrong. And if you would than revert it again (after telling me the reason) I would no longer object.

Manuel

Hi Fire, You said: "Do I say what it is in the articles? (my personal opinion) No. A good Wikipedia editor simply reports the available facts and lets the readers decide for themselves."

If that is so, why didn't you put the sppech of Li Hongzhi that I dug up (http://www.upholdjustice.org/English.2/G_3.doc) next to the speech that you dug up?

I would like to remind you of what i wrote to you:

""Recently, during an exclusive interview by the pro-Falun Gong newspaper The Epoch Times[1], Li referred to the persecution of Falun Gong in China as the 'final battle between good and evil', and predicted that the Chinese Communist government will 'fall within six months'. When asked about the stability of China if this ever occurred, Li replied that 'God will prevent any chaos from occurring'."

I searched through the entire website of the Epoch Times, and NTDTV in severall different languages. I DID find an exclusive interview with Li Hongzhi (http://english.epochtimes.com/news/4-2-4/19346.html) but it doesn't contain anything of what you said.

Same question, what are your sources?"

It's been severall weeks now, but you have neither given a response regarding that, nor have you removed it from the entry.

Yet you say:

"I'm not avoiding anything, we simply disagree. To say I am avoiding issues here is an unworthy tactic"

Well what do call that then? Ignoring? isn't that the same?

Oh ofcourse you also said: "Li is my source."

Well than why don't you put the link to the Epoch Times Article in which he said that directly into the entry?

As I said I was unable to find it anywhere, i would be very happy if you could provide me with a link to that article which you obvously must have read on the epochtimes website yourself..

Oh and what about the other things you are still... ahem... "ignoring" (-; Like why you still object to my removing the line about his birthdate? And changing jails into forced labor camps (since that is what they are).

Sincerely Manuel

Aha, sorry to have misunderstood. When you made your edit re Moses, you edited a version of the article that included a recent addition of someone's favorite guru (estimable but not up there with Moses, I'm sure). So I reverted back to the version without the guru. I'll try to find your Moses edit and restore it. Zora 23:29, 24 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, it wasn't that. Looking at the history, we had three people editing at the same time. I was reverting, someone else was reverting, and you were making your edit. The changes were posted seconds apart and I just happened to get in the queue after you did. Zora 23:33, 24 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The guru man is back again. I've done two reverts. Can you do a few? Zora 23:45, 24 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I know you just deleted this article, and based on the content, I agree with that deletion. I just created the article, but I added a lot of information as well as several references. He is notable, someone just needs to spend some time on the article. I'm going to try and fill it out. I just wanted to let you know why I recreated it, and I'm not trying to be some stupid vandal.  ;) Syrae Faileas 17:28, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, there was no misunderstanding. I just wanted to warn you. Alex Spanos is a pretty big force in California, especially in Stockton. In fact, there are two large facilities at University of the Pacific which are named after him and his wife. Quite a few articles linked to him before the page was created. I've been meaning to work on it for a while, and seeing your deletion in the Recent Changes prompted me to do a quick stub as a reminder. If I'm really productive, maybe I'll go over to his new building in north Stockton and snap a picture of it. It's pretty formitable looking. Syrae Faileas 20:31, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Qinggong edits

[edit]

Hello, I noticed that you blanked out the entire learning and training section from the Qinggong page, stating that Wikipedia is not an instruction manual. I am not trying to criticize your edits; in fact, after thinking about it, I realized that it is the best thing for Wikipedia, or any encyclopedia. However, I am rather angry, confused, and frustrated about this, and I'll explain why.

I am not the person who originally contributed the learning and training information to the page. I just came upon the page, did some cleanup, and made some admittedly drastic changes to the visual presentation of the learning and training content. One reason I'm angry, first of all, is that I happened to spend a lot of time making the edits that I did to that page, and to see it wiped out in the blink of an eye is frustrating, to say the least. But that's not that big of a deal to me. I happen to be a slow copy-editor, and that's not Wikipedia's or anybody else's fault. I'm aware that this is a Wiki, and anything I do here can be blown away by someone else at any time. Fine, I knew that coming in, and I accept that. Also, as I said earlier, I now "know" that encyclopedias are not instruction manuals, and removing that portion was the right thing to do.

However, there's something I don't understand and would like to know -- did you wipe out the material because of the visual formatting that I applied, or did you wipe it out because of the content itself? The reason I ask is that according to the page's history, you yourself added the {{cleanup}} tag to the page way back on July 22 when the instruction manual-ish material was already there. So why would you add only a cleanup tag to a page that was already an instruction manual, allow it to exist for over a month as an instruction manual, but then go on to wipe it out completely only after I made my formatting changes to it on August 25? From my point of view, I simply saw that the message was tagged {{cleanup}}, so in good faith, I went out of my way to take the time to try to clean it up. In fact, I was the only person who bothered to try to clean it up in that span of time, and I don't know a thing about martial arts.

I apologize for being accusatory and sounding defensive. And maybe I'm just being too sensitive. I'm relatively new here -- only about a month, so I know I don't know everything. I've read many of the Wikipedia help pages, though not all of them. And I noticed that you're an administrator, so I also respect your authority and seniority. If you could just clear this up for me, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks. -- Gsp 14:07, 27 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Fire Star, thanks for explaining it to me! I had a feeling it was just a misunderstanding. I'll definitely make an effort in the future to better understand how things work around here. And thanks for the pointers! -- Gsp 11:19, 28 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Dicdef speedy

[edit]

Hi there! Your speedy on Skepsis as a dicdef from a printed dictionary doesn't appear anywhere in WP:CSD. That article was a copyvio, but should then have been listed at WP:CP rather than outright deletion. Dicdefs often get repaired during the inevitable VfD which I was in the process of nominating...) -Splash 00:48, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it was actually a copyvio so I shouldn't have been preparing the VfD anyway. I just hadn't mentally processed the final sentence. That it is a copyvio is why I didn't specifically ask you to undelete it. Not wanting to make you run in circles (honest!) I'll just take it over to WP:CP. Handy new feature in MediaWiki that shows up a message when you try to save an article that got deleted while you were editing it! -Splash 00:58, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Me again! You're going to think I'm a rotten pain the ***. Anyway, the original and only substantive editor has just blanked the page, so the bureaucracy can be cut, and you can speedy it per WP:CSD criterion G7 since blanking is usually taken as a request to delete.
Oh, and now they turned it into something that has no content beyond the title, so can be doubly speedied under CSD A3. Ok, enough hassling admins for today! -Splash 01:05, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

Lists are no match for my html table skills :)
JFD 13:30, 31 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

With only one or two elements (e.g. Chinese characters and pinyin), a list usually suffices, but when you add transliterations from other varieties of spoken Chinese or notes, it starts to disrupt the flow of reading.

Ergo, tables.

Hi - Can you please respond to this comment at Beland's RFA? Thanks. -- Rick Block (talk) 04:17, September 1, 2005 (UTC)

The clinical efficacy of acupuncture can be debated in scientific terms, but its underlying theory cannot, because its metaphysical concept of chi and energy flow is pseudoscientific - it's non-falsifiable and not a testable hypothesis. If you read the sentence carefully, you will notice that "is therefore considered by the mainstream scientific community to be a pseudoscience" is referring to "the traditional theory underlying its mechanisms", not "acupuncture" itself. - Euphrosyne 05:45:55, 2005-09-01 (UTC)

chinashaolintemple.com

[edit]

This guy—the only user name he's ever used is Xueguo, a name which appears on his website as "Responsible editor Xueguo"—has been linkspamming Wikipedia articles on martial arts and related topics.

Most obnoxiously, he places his link at the top of the "External links" list in bold. And he does so on even the most tangentially related articles, like the Jet Li article and the Kung Fu (video game) article, which is about a specific 1985 Nintendo game. I've debolded what links I could find and deleted those I felt were not sufficiently relevant.

His site appears non-commercial but the manner in which he's been inserting links into Wikipedia irks.

JFD 16:32, 1 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

there was a proposal to merge the Kung fu, Wushu and Chinese martial arts articles that I've just noticed. It should be possible, but it would make for one whacking huge article! I'm sure there is much redundancy to be eliminated, perhaps with the aid of some shiny html tables! ;-)

This sounds like a semantic nightmare, not to mention a logistical one, but hey, if it ever needs tables, you know who to call

Complaint about AWilliamson

[edit]

I'd like to complain about AWilliamson who tries to vandalise a link on the Joan of Arc page by replacing dots (.) by commas (,) under a hidden identity (66.216.226.34 ). Could you please notice this unwanted behaviour? Switisweti

Greetings. The IP you gave me, 66.216.226.34, has only made one edit to the Joan of Arc article. I don't see any evidence that leads me to believe it is a sockpuppet of any other user. Fire Star 17:25, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Authorities Have Been Informed, or, All of My Problems are Your Fault, or, yet another satisfied customer

[edit]

Firestar, I see that you fellows have allowed some troll to post the names of my friends on your Ashida Kim entry again. Looking up the names on the copyrights doesn't mean that any of those names are mine. Merely that those names were inserted into the blanks. No identification is required to copyright a book. Besides all my other books are copyrighted in the name of Ashida Kim by Paladin Press. Does that not PROVE my "real name" is Paladin Press? Publishing the names of my friends is just a way of attacking me. It may interest you to know that these clowns recently posted a huge list of all the addresses of all these names so that their bully boys could come down and take a poke at them. They even admit to STALKING one of these names and surreptitiously shooting video of the man in his own yard. THAT is an invasion of privacy. Even the cops require a warrant for that sort of thing. Nor am I or any of these other people charged with any crime other than being more popular than Bullshido. The appropriate authorities were made aware of that so the next time one of my friends has to set the dogs on these stalkers creeping around his property, they will know that he is justified. This is not about saving the world from whatever petty fraud these guys imagine I may be committing. It is about beating me up. A lawyer friend of mine tells me that this tactic is tantamount to what abortion clinic haters did in posting the names of doctors they didn't like. Several of whom were shot and killed as a result. We have printed out what you have posted and will show it to the police as well. Next time there is an incident at any one of these people's houses, YOU and your outfit will be charged as co-conspirators for publishing these names. I played it your way last time and it did no good at all. Even created an account and user page that you deleted. Not going to waste my time "building a consensus" this time. Just telling you plain and simple if any of my friends get hurt, you will be held responsible.

??? The User:Ashida Kim user account still exists and the above filibuster does not originate from there, but rather from an IP with a long history of tawdry vandalism, 152.163.100.13. How Hateful You Are

[edit]

FireStar, This is how you address my issue? After all those e-mails I sent you BEGGING for page protection last time? By pretending it wasn't me? Just consider the illogic of that! Who would want to be me? And who would ask for nothing except a little common consideration? So, here I am again, doing what you ask, trying to play by your rules, coming to your talk page to give you more attention. But, no matter what I do or say, you refuse to protect my page so my friends cannot be stalked. You and your ilk are all just trolls who have no decency whatsoever. You just want to play games hiding behind your silly "policies." I hope someone does this to you someday and you get to enjoy the frustration you inflict on me and others. I pray that all who come to your sick site will see that you are just another bunch of trash and bash liars who have never done anything of value and are so jealous of anyone who has that you would rather believe and publish lies about them than speak the truth. I ask you for the fifth time, as politely and respectfully as I can in light of your tacky behavior, to protect my page or remove it.

Ashida Kim dojopress@aol.com

I haven't had any emails from anyone claiming to be Ashida Kim in several months now, sorry. If you are really Ashida Kim and you honestly didn't anticipate the fact that the martial art business is dangerous to the (obviously) unprepared before you published your voluminous claims of mystical martial superiority, then I'm afraid I probably can't help you. You have a funny, rude way of threatening, insulting and then cajoling in order to try and get your way, and it isn't going to work. Politeness and respect are non-negotiable requirements here. I have always met you halfway, and again, if you behave yourself and watch your mouth, I will try to help you. If you continue to verbally abuse and threaten me and the other editors here, you are on your own, as simple as that. I will not protect the Ashida Kim page because, in my judgment, there is no reason to. You may be able to find another administrator to do so, however. If you don't want to behave well and still want the Ashida Kim page deleted, log on to your account at User:Ashida Kim and submit it to AfD yourself. On a professional note, if you are afraid that people are out to get revenge on you, don't expect too much sympathy from a traditional Chinese martial arts instructor. We are taught and teach strict confucian virtues, holding that such fear is the natural product of living an unrighteous life, and that if someone else solves these problems for you then you won't learn anything from the lesson (because that is what it is, didn't you know?) to the betterment of your character. It is very simple to avoid the problems you describe ahead of time with some common sense before the fact. Regards, --Fire Star 02:24, 18 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I prefer to ignore him. Anything anyone says just sets him off (I bet sayin that will too). I know nothing on the subject, and just happened to pick up the conflict on RC patrol. Ever since he has sent me threatining e-mails. Howabout1 Talk to me! 02:53, 18 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Not Fear At All

[edit]

Ninjitsu, is not about fighting, it is about keeping the peace. You wouldn't appreciate anyone publishing the names of your friends so they could be attacked. THEY are not trained martial artists like myself. You seem to think this is some kind of intellectual parlor game where you hold all the cards so you get to win every time. Some of the mental midgets that read Bullshido are actually crazy enough to come to my town and videotape my friends form concealment. That is stalking, Bud. And it is a serious crime, whetehr you think so or not. My first requests about this incident were polite, as always, but when I get ignored and deleted I get pissed, so would you. So don't get all high and mighty about Confucius. His teachings are designed to control the peasants, not serve as a defense for inactivity.

Ashida Kim

As I was saying, the ninja is afraid of other people sneaking around him acting like ninjas! And again, as I was saying, that is a perfectly classic example of instant karma. Let me explain: what comes around goes around. If you don't want people trying to murder you or your friends, maybe you shouldn't publish books and websites boasting about how peerless your skills are at murdering people! Fixing this is ultimately a matter of your taking personal responsibility for your actions. To say that it is anyone else's fault that the bullshido crew wants to kick your *** is transparently false, and makes you look even more unworthy than your fantastic claims already do. This is a martial arts teacher talking to you now, show some dignity and quit crying in public about the private hell you've created for yourself. This is not just Confucianism, it is also one of the most basic lessons of Taoism and Buddhism, for all of that; when you recognise that it was only your brag and bluster that got you into the state you're in, then maybe we'll have something to say to each other. --Fire Star 17:01, 18 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

While I disagree with your conclusion, I do admit many others are more knowledgeable and have more time to devote to Adminship, and, thus I may have a hard time if I try to be an Admin (real life responsibilities may make that hard).

That being said, while I'm not as qualified as some, I don’t see any harm to Wikipedia to promote me to Admin; it is allows slightly more tools, and I have been a good editor in my time here, contributing greatly -even if not as much as others. (Now, if I were asking to be a Bureaucrat or a Steward, that would be different, but this is merely an advanced editor, where I've already done fairly well.)

Even assuming I am not qualified, still I meet the current policy requirements, and if you feel so strongly that Admins should be less focused and such, you should seek to change the policy: It's not that hard: Just get concensus and edit it. I won't be mad or anything; I am sorry if I lost my temper a little bit in my RfA, but it got too hot there, and everybody’s human.

Thanks again for your time.--GordonWatts 12:07, 19 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Would you please send me one or two links to a discussion of some length, representing BDs worst behavior? It should include more than just one or two isolated remarks.

Please leave it at my talk page under User talk:Paul Klenk#BG777 Worst-Of Threads, trying not duplicate a thread submitted someone else. I will continue to sort through the RfC, but one or two links would be a great help. Thanks.
