Welcome and introduction

[edit]

Hi, Clquinn. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. Best of luck!  Chzz  ►  23:21, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Your article submission new Schimmel draft

[edit]

Hello Clquinn. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled new Schimmel draft.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/new Schimmel draft}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 14:42, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

ok I am so confused, the article was marked for deletion because I did not initially put enough original citations/links in it. Now that I added those I thought the instructions on the Wiki help page were that anyone could delete the {{Proposed deletion/dated}} and if I did nothing within 7 days it would be deleted automatically. What do I need to do to get the AfD box removed? --Clquinn (talk) 02:23, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

April 2017

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Beatrice B. "BeBe" Magee, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. GeoffreyT2000 (talk, contribs) 02:37, 5 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Beatrice B. "BeBe" Magee has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. GeoffreyT2000 (talk, contribs) 00:16, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How do I remove the prod blp tag?

[edit]

I have added references but can not figure out how to get rid of the deletion threat Also, how do I get this article posted out of my sandbox?

Tag has been removed. It's not in your sandbox. Primefac (talk) 01:55, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Beatrice B. "BeBe" Magee for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Beatrice B. "BeBe" Magee is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Beatrice B. "BeBe" Magee until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Primefac (talk) 02:03, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Has the discussion closed for this? do I remove the afd notice and if so how do i do that? Also I think it will be less confusing if I remove the "BeBe" nickname form the title. How do I do that? Clquinn (talk) 21:06, 19 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Karin Musier-Forsyth, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page RNA biology (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
