User talk:Cynthia Nocton
Hey hey hey! Welcome to my talk page!
[edit]Dear Ask Cynthia,
I have a very nasty toenail fungus. I believe that I should be proud of the fact I have it. Can you please tell me how to stop my parents from fighting over my feet?
Toenail Lover in Alpha Centauri
Dear Toenail,
Um... Okay. First things first, have you tried socks? That way, you still have it, but your parents won't know. Second of all, please consider using different stamps. I don't want to have to pay the rates for... Uh... whatever it's called when you get mail from another star systems. WAIT. There's no known life beyond Earth, so... Either I can hand this in to the scientific community and get loads of money for it, or.... This is a prank, isn't it? I mean, this is a talk page, not an advice column.
But just in case this isn't a prank, good luck with those socks.
Cynthia
Okay, Now Let's get Serious.
[edit]Sources
[edit]Can you please add your source(s) to List of Islands in the Outer Lands? Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 18:07, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
I'm not sure if they're digitized, I mostly spent a lot of time poring over maritime maps in my friend's attic. Some names may have changed, as well, to be frank. If I find the sources online I will add them posthaste. Sea Captain Cormac 17:16, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
Former Topics
[edit]Red categories
[edit]Could you please either create or remove the red categories on your user page? They interfere with the maintenance of the category system. Rathfelder (talk) 08:25, 8 October 2017 (UTC)
- I came here for the same reason. The trouble with categories is that they don't affect just your user page. Red categories create an error in the category system, and they interfere with the work of editors who perform category maintenance tasks at Special:WantedCategories. Please do not create any of the red categories currently on your user page, as Rathfelder suggested, as they all violate the user category guideline, and at least one was previously deleted per consensus. Thanks, -- Black Falcon (talk) 03:43, 9 October 2017 (UTC)
- Okay sorry Sea Captain Cormac 13:04, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- No worries, and thanks for adressing this! Cheers, -- Black Falcon (talk) 03:28, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

The article Figurehead Experiment has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Art project with no coverage meeting WP:N, the notability guidelines. A Google search turns up almost exclusively font downloads. The sources given in the article are all social media; no coverage in reliable sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Largoplazo (talk) 23:11, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
Nomination of Blanche Serban for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Blanche Serban is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Blanche Serban until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. power~enwiki (π, ν) 16:46, 4 October 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Disambiguation link notification for February 1
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Face tattoo, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ainu (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 15:18, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
Non-notable names
[edit]Hello. Your recent edit appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Problem with your custom signature
[edit]You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.
The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.
The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.
- Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
- Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. 19:04, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
Slab City
[edit]There is no article, just pictures with brief captions. This is not a reference. It's clickbait and it's trying to sell you the pictures with the captions. This is not Wikipedia protocol. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Slab City, California. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Dana60Cummins (talk) 13:52, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
You're one to talk. It seems as if you are the one vandalizing. I will report you. Cynthia-Coriníon (talk) 15:02, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dana60Cummins (talk • contribs) 15:11, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
- As I mentioned on Dana's user talk, this is an issue that needs discussing on the article's talk page, not via edit war. Please do so. Primefac (talk) 16:36, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
I am currently doing so. Cynthia-Coriníon (talk) 17:01, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
Username Change
[edit]Hullo, Cynthia-Coriníon. I ventured onto your userpage and noticed that you wanted to change your username, but couldn't as Wikipedia doesn't allow you to. But, Wikipedia does allow you to, I changed mine a few years ago. You can request it here if you are still interested. Thanks, EDG 543 (talk) 18:19, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

Attawanhood moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Attawanhood, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, Draft:Attawanhood
[edit]Hello, Cynthia Nocton. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Attawanhood".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}
, {{db-draft}}
, or {{db-g13}}
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
