Please add some independent references to demonstrate the notability of Ten Tec. Deb (talk) 10:21, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ten Tec requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. SFK2 (talk) 10:38, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The usual criterion for inclusion in Wikipedia is explained here. Very basically, we only summarise information that's already published in reliable sources that're independent of the subject. We do this to ensure both that our information is verifiable, and that it can be written neutrally. If articles give no indication that there's any reason to believe that an article might be able to meet the criterion, then it will usually be deleted without a discussion, because the outcome of that discussion is a foregone conclusion.
If you want to write an article about the company, collect a few articles/books/whatnot about the company, published by reliable sources that're independent of the company. Use those to build an article; if you need time to draft an article, use User:Doubledogdare610/Sandbox or such. There's more information at Wikipedia:Your first article, and feel free to ask me whatever. But there's no sense in me restoring an article that would just be immediately re-deleted. Sources don't necessarily need to be books. Magazines, journal articles, newspapers, TV reports can all be okay; the issue of caution is that for things of only very local interest, this often isn't enough (for instance, the newspaper in the town where my grandmother lives generally wouldn't go towards demonstrating notability of local things; she lives in a town of ~4000 people though. The New York Times generally does, even for things in New York.) In most cases, if you apply the Google and can't find any worthwhile sources, you're probably out of luck (and the main exceptions are historic things that are not longer operational, and perhaps things in places without much internet access - not your case). Magazines might be more promising - google books has product reviews in PC Magazine and other magazines (although it's important to avoid ads from the company or product retailers - I haven't looked in detail). Tuckaleechee Caverns

[edit]

Please provide WP:reliable sources to support the Tuckaleechee Caverns article. I've removed the previous "references" which were the commercial website for the caverns. We aren't here to promote a commercial enterprise, but to provide info based on non-promotional sources. Vsmith (talk) 13:49, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
