DYK for Source Seine

Apithy is done
Sorry - didn't mean to take so long. But my workload is ever growing at work...still, it's a workmanlike translation, as always. I went for meaning, not for pretty; if there's something you'd like me to clarify further I'd be happy to. --03:22, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Mali
Hello Eddy boy, how goes it? Thanks for your help with Mali. Today I've got the main cercles up and running to prepare for doing all the communes. I've found a few fre images here and on related pages on that site. All of them can be uploaded using {{PD-USGov-NOAA}}I'd be grateful for your help. I'm also making my own maps of the cercles of mali! Dr. Blofeld White cat 19:24, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
OK lazy bones Template:Communes of the Koulikoro Region is completed. Would you like me to spoon feed you too? LOL. Dr. Blofeld White cat 14:41, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
I was kidding. I've made another flickr agreement with Jacques. It has photos of many of the villages and communes I'm starting in Mali and Mauritania etc. He has some stunning Sahara landscapes from Algeria and Sudan check them out. Thats abother 1700 images better off if we upload them. Dr. Blofeld White cat 21:05, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Sadiola has an image. If we combine these images with the USAID info miracles can happen on here with Mali. Dr. Blofeld White cat 22:16, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Another GA
Yay, I'm on a roll! ;) Do you plan on doing another Iran article? I bet that once we work on Qayen/Qeshm they can both be FAs, or at least Qeshm... Ceran→//forge 20:54, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- Anyway, I'm gonna avoid that because I tend to stay away from biographies. ThinkBlue is a great all-around reviewer, but she's also great with bios. However, she tends to do BLPs so I would just ask Mattisse to do another review. Ceran→//forge 03:09, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
DYK nomination of Sourou-Migan Apithy
Hello! Your submission of Sourou-Migan Apithy at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Shubinator (talk) 07:02, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Hi, Eddy. I just found out that you're GA-reviewing I Not Stupid Too. A couple of things you should do: register the review at WP:GAN (seeing no review registered, I signed up to do it; please replace my sig with yours); transclude the review into the article's normal Talk page. --Philcha (talk) 13:54, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
- I understand your point about "under review" templates discouraging comments from other editors. However there's a perennial shortage of reviewers at both GA and FA levels. --Philcha (talk) 22:41, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
- Re "Feel free to review I Not Stupid Too too, as I'm far from the best":
- I have enough GA reviews on the go already, so I have to decline the invitation.
- If you want to improve as a reviewer: check out the Good Artcile criteria and Wikipedia:Reviewing good articles; look at some recent reviews and GA passes, especially in the same subject area. One review that I know of is Talk:Rocket Science (film)/GA1, which I'm doing - although I'm relatively inexperienced in reviewing articles about films.
- WP:GAN offers a facility to ask for a mentor if you want more guidance in reviewing, or if there's some aspect of the GA criteria that you feel unconfident about assessing. I'd be willing to do that, provided it's understood you do the real work. --Philcha (talk) 23:19, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
- Re "Oh, I don't think I'm that bad", you shouldn't been excessively modest earlier, no-one expects reviewers to be modest :-)
- At a 10-second glance (I'm in the middle of another review), Talk:Zanzibar Revolution/GA1 looks a good review.
- Re Hubert Maga I have no background in African history, so it would not be my first choice of subject - my comments might not appear until 2 days after I sign up to review such an article, because I'd need some background reading first, to make a realistic assessment of coverage and neutrality. However if the article waits too long in the queue I might step in. --Philcha (talk) 23:51, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
- You sort of got your wish - I'm going to review Léon M'ba, was the oldest nom at WP:GAN. Might take a day or to for me to transclude comments to the article's Talk page, as it's a new subject area for me. --Philcha (talk) 21:30, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- It's nice that you're so ready to respond to the GA review of Léon M'ba. But please don't respond to my comments until I'm finished - I've jsu had an edit conflict. For a fairly large article on an unfamiliar subject, I treat the review page as as draft until I transclude it to the article's Talk page. --Philcha (talk) 00:22, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Hello, I saw that this film article has been under review since the beginning of February. If your concerns have not been addressed from then to now, I suggest following the steps to decline nomination of I Not Stupid Too as a Good Article. —Erik (talk • contrib) 23:52, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Benoît Sinzogan failed GA nom
Hi. Just letting you know I reviewed that article and failed it as it isn't a comprehensive treatment of the subject. Daniel Case (talk) 07:20, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Sikasso
Template:Communes of the Sikasso Region has been formatted. You don't seem to be here as much as before, busy in RL? Dr. Blofeld White cat 13:51, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Yes I know what you mean, its just a website after all. Anyway I've started Sikasso now so theres nothing for you to do in starting them. Segou next... Dr. Blofeld White cat 21:50, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
I've transcluded the review to the article's Talk page and am placing the review "on hold", which means you have a week to fix the whole article, not just what I've commented on so far. That's a lot of work and it's only fair to tell you that I doubt whether you can achieve in a week. --Philcha (talk) 15:32, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
2005 Qeshm earthquake
I think it's halfway to FA. I have reservations about its prose, though, could you look over it? And possibly perform some copyediting? Ceran→//forge 13:31, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
FAC
Hi, as someone who previously commented on Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/John Wilkes Booth, you may wish to revisit this page, as the FAC has been restarted and additional content to meet the concerns expressed has been added. JGHowes talk 23:36, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia
There is a difference though between spending time on wikipedia in moderation like 30 minutes every day or two and none at all. Whatever it is I hope you regain your enthusiasm for this project as it is worse without you constructively editing it for sure. Has somebody taken the mickey in college or something for you spending time editing wikipedia? Just seems unlike yourself to no longer want to contribute. Anyway have fun and enjoy whatever it is you are doing different. Dr. Blofeld White cat 19:17, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
