Need help

What's up? Alright so you know that the SB platform at 238th ST is closed right? I put in the main heading "this station is served by the (1) at all times in the northbound direction only". This dude keeps undoing my edit saying that (1) trains are stopping there, when they clearly aren't. Can you help?

AahdTahar (talk) 18:45, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

@AahdTahar: I did one better, and updated all the stations where there are temporary closures in one side only. epicgenius (talk) 01:02, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

A message of thanks

Greetings, I wanted to say thanks for rephrasing my words about the FBI and the 9/11 victims tally not being recorded in their 2001 crime index in the September 11 attacks and Henryk Siwiak homicide. Johnnysama (talk) 01:34, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

For getting Construction of Rockefeller Center to the Main Page! What an accomplishment! I miss working with you all at WP:NYC. Hope you are well, and thanks for all you do :) MusikAnimal talk 03:25, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
Related, at some point you're going to have to come to one of the Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC events. If you don't, I'll block you!! :D MusikAnimal talk 03:27, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
@MusikAnimal: Thanks! I'll probably go to the meetups soon (like when I have a break from work or school). I don't wanna be blocked . Hope you are well, too. epicgenius (talk) 12:35, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

Congratulations!

I remember Construction of Rockefeller Center at DYK not so long ago. Today I see it on the main page again. Congratulations on achieving FA status! Yoninah (talk) 01:52, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

@Yoninah: Thanks! Yeah, I didn't expect it to be a TFA this quickly either. It's been only about 10 months since I created the page. epicgenius (talk) 01:53, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
Wow. Frankly, some of your other articles that I've seen are also very well researched, and should also be candidates for GA or FA. Yoninah (talk) 01:55, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
I appreciate it. I was also thinking that some of the other articles I upgraded to GA status should be nominated for FA. I'm busy in real life right now, but maybe I could start with something like nominating Gowanus Canal for FAC, or try renominating AirTrain JFK. epicgenius (talk) 02:20, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
Go for it! You really do have a lot of sources in those articles, as mentioned in your FAC. Yoninah (talk) 02:25, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for the article, a "very complicated story: the original complex was only constructed because the Metropolitan Opera declined to build a new opera house on a plot in Midtown Manhattan, and the last few buildings were added several decades after the first buildings were completed."! And what Joninah says. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:08, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

@Gerda Arendt: You're welcome. I really enjoyed creating the article and I'm glad you liked it. epicgenius (talk) 18:39, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

Brooklyn Navy Yard

You're doing a lot of really great work on this and related articles, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your efforts, as I know it is not easy. Rehabbing the original BNY article was long on my to-do list, but I kept putting it off, so I'm glad an editor as dedicated as you took it on. Did much better with it than I would have. Cheers, JesseRafe (talk) 14:26, 27 September 2018 (UTC)

@JesseRafe: Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm doing these edits slowly because of real-life commitments, but I promise I'll eventually overhaul most of the articles related to the Brooklyn Navy Yard. I also admire your cleaning up the articles as well, including some of my typos. epicgenius (talk) 14:38, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
