Cosmos (Outer Space)

Hi Escobillo, before you contribute further to Wikipedia, I suggest you take some time to read Wikipedia:Neutral Point of View. Articles in an encyclopedia have to be written from a third person point of view and cannot contain your own personal opinions on a subject. I also suggest you read the Wikipedia:Notability guidelines too, especially the Wikipedia:Notability (music) section as articles on non-notable subjects are often deleted. To make the footnotes actually appear, you need to make sure the article has a references/footnotes section with the ‘reflist’ code in it so that they actually appear. Formatting of chart sections

Whether the table columns look better center-aligned or not is very subjective. Most chart tables however don't center-align non-position columns, which is why I made that change. Center-aligning the position column is quite common, and in fact what WP:CHART recommends, so I'm fine with restoring that. Note however that my change included many other aspects to bring the section in line with our style guidelines, for example with regards to capitalization. In summary, I'm fine with you restoring the center-aligning of the position column, but please don't revert my entire edits. --PEJL 13:01, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"PopMart: Live From Mexico City" will be released on DVD on September 10 (except for the U.S.A). A list of U2's other video releases can be found here.
The band have returned from Fez, Morocco, working on their album. According to Adam, “There’s definitely an album in there.” Some possible songs include: “Mercy”, “If I Could Live My Life Again”, and “North Star”.
U2's new film, U23D, is due for 3D theatre release later this year.
The Republican National Committee has taken the first step to endorsing Bono’s ONE initiative, with a potential donation of 30 billion dollars in U.S. taxes.

Welcome to the August edition of the U2 WikiProject Newsletter. As you may have noticed, we are now doing themed newsletters. This one (if you haven't already guessed) is How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. Every month the newsletter will have a different theme. There will also be a special edition when the new album is released. Also thanks to Neranei for some of the U2 news.

New Members

We have two new members since the start of the month! They are Vero444 and MC. We now have 38 members!

The Album

It was released on November 2004.
It was distributed by Island Records and Interscope in the U.S.A.
The album was a critical and commercial success. It went to #1 in many countries and sold over 9 million copies worldwide.
Bono described the album as "our first rock album. It's taken us twenty years or whatever it is, but this is our first rock album."
The album deals with love, war, peace, harmony, and approaching death.
The singles released from the album are: Vertigo, All Because of You, Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own, City of Blinding Lights and Original of the Species.

Did You Know?

On front cover of All That You Can't Leave Behind is a very subtle Biblical reference. In the background J 33-3 can be seen. This is a reference to verse 33 of chapter 3 of the book of Jeremiah: "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and hidden things which you have not known."

Welcome to the September Edition of the U2 WikiProject Newsletter. The theme for this newletter is "All That You Can't Leave Behind". We hope you enjoy reading it!

New Members

Our new members this month are Keeper76 and Jort227. We have now reached 40 members.

The Album

The album was released on October 30, 2000.
It debuted at #1 in 28 countries and sold over 12 million copies worldwide.
This album marked the end of U2's experimental phase in the 90's. However, they did not really return to their more traditional rock sound until How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb.
Rolling Stone called it "U2's third masterpiece".
The song "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of" was written by Bono for his late friend, Michael Hutchence.
On several occasions the band said that they were "re-applying for the job of the best band in the world" with this album.
The singles released from the album are: Beautiful Day, Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of, Walk On and Elevation.

U2 News On September 28, Bono was jointly awarded the Philadelphia Liberty Medal along with DATA. The medal is awarded to recognize leadership in the pursuit of freedom. Three U.S. Presidents, Nelson Mandela, Viktor Yushchenko, Colin Powell and Kofi Annan are among those who have been awarded it. In his acceptance speech, Bono spoke of those who don't have their liberty and urged Americans to keep working to solve the world's problems. More info here. U23D, U2's upcoming movie, will not be released until early next year. U2's recent biography, U2 By U2, is now available in paperback in the U.S. The 20th anniversary edition of The Joshua Tree will be released soon; the bonus content includes the Red Hill Mining Town video, often sought by fans. From the Editors Welcome to the November edition of the WikiProject U2 Newsletter. This month's theme is Zooropa, one of U2's most experimental albums. We hope you enjoy reading it! New Members The Album Zooropa was released on July 6, 1993. This album, along with Pop, is considered one of U2's most experimental. It was originally slated to be an EP, but expanded into an LP. It was recorded in between legs on the Zoo TV Tour. Zooropa features a rare lead singing performance by The Edge, on the song Numb.
