Hi Escobillo, before you contribute further to Wikipedia, I suggest you take some time to read Wikipedia:Neutral Point of View. Articles in an encyclopedia have to be written from a third person point of view and cannot contain your own personal opinions on a subject. I also suggest you read the Wikipedia:Notability guidelines too, especially the Wikipedia:Notability (music) section as articles on non-notable subjects are often deleted. Thanks, Netsnipe (Talk) 20:47, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
Chart positions
[edit]- Hiyas. I saw you added some chart information to the article Children (song). I was wondering where you got the information for the European weekly chart listings. Is this information available on the web? If you know of a place that has this kind of information for other artists, it would be really useful info for me and other editors. Thanks a bunch! Orphaned fair use image (Image:Tatu01.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Tatu01.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 23:30, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

References for U2 information...
[edit]Hi there. You recently added info to a number of U2 related pages. Do you have any references for this information? Remember, unreferenced info can be removed from wikipedia at any time. kind regards --Merbabu 02:09, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for putting the references in and with the ref /ref format. To make the footnotes actually appear, you need to make sure the article has a references/footnotes section with the ‘reflist’ code in it so that they actually appear. Here’s an example I added for you. Let me know if have questions. --Merbabu 01:00, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
If you can't provide the source, then the information is not verifiable. Do not add information without providing a verifiable, reliable source. 17Drew 20:59, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
- Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Shepherd Moons. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Thank you. 17Drew 21:35, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
- Any source used must be verifiable, meaning "that any reader should be able to check that material added to Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source." If the reader cannot access the source because it is password-protected, then the information is not verifiable. 17Drew 22:33, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Formatting of chart sections
[edit]Hi there. Let's discuss the formatting of the chart sections. --PEJL 12:56, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- Whether the table columns look better center-aligned or not is very subjective. Most chart tables however don't center-align non-position columns, which is why I made that change. Center-aligning the position column is quite common, and in fact what WP:CHART recommends, so I'm fine with restoring that. Note however that my change included many other aspects to bring the section in line with our style guidelines, for example with regards to capitalization. In summary, I'm fine with you restoring the center-aligning of the position column, but please don't revert my entire edits. --PEJL 13:01, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hello there. So yeah I saw that the format had changed. I sincerely don't like it that way. I htink it looks better how it was the first time
- Hey, sorry didn't mean to. I apologize. So we're good?
- I've center-aligned the position column on the Garbage albums. I hope you find that acceptable. --PEJL 13:07, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, sorry didn't mean to. I apologize. So we're good?
- Hello there. So yeah I saw that the format had changed. I sincerely don't like it that way. I htink it looks better how it was the first time
You are doing the same thing you did before. I really don't like them. You said you were fine with it my way?
- I think maybe you misread what I said. I said I was fine with center-aligning the position column. See above. --PEJL 13:18, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
I mean however you want to leave it its fine. Im really not going to discuss about it. The information is there period. I just, like I tell you. I see the way you do it and it drives me crazy. Just a thought. Plus Wiipedia standars are for charts, like peaks, not sales or certifications. Just.... I guess its fine that way... Just dont change any others. Thanks
- I will and have formatted other articles according to Wikipedia's style guidelines and conventions, for consistency with other articles. Have a nice day. --PEJL 13:30, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to the August edition of the U2 WikiProject Newsletter. As you may have noticed, we are now doing themed newsletters. This one (if you haven't already guessed) is How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. Every month the newsletter will have a different theme. There will also be a special edition when the new album is released. Also thanks to Neranei for some of the U2 news.
We have two new members since the start of the month! They are Vero444 and MC. We now have 38 members!
More info from the album page here.
Last month's newsletter incorrectly stated that there were 34 members. This should've been 36. Also, under the "U2 News" section, line 3, instead of saying most recent single it should've said most recent song (this has since been corrected). The editors sincerely apologize for any misunderstandings this may have caused. The correct version of the July newsletter can be found here.
All members of the U2 Wikiproject please note that voting for the next collaboration of the fortnight starts on THE 12TH OF AUGUST. Please visit the collaboration department for more details. |

Your message
[edit]Next time you leave a message on my talk page, please sign your post, otherwise I will ignore it.
You didn't update much, most of the chart positions were already there, instead you added several charts for which we don't even have the positions, added an extra column with the sales, even though we only have the U.S. sales. I added some of the chart positions back for Curtis. We don't need that stuff yet, wait for the sales and other chart positions to be announced. --- Who's the one you call Mr. Macho? Orphaned non-free media (Image:TatuTruth.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:TatuTruth.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:49, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Screamingformore.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Screamingformore.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:34, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Show Me Love (t.A.T.u. song)
[edit]An editor has nominated Show Me Love (t.A.T.u. song), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Show Me Love (t.A.T.u. song) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 02:29, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:30minut.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:30minut.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 22:56, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Elindio.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Elindio.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
