Disambiguation link notification for April 26[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mary Harney, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Michael Noonan. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:55, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary sanctions notification[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the Troubles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Also the Martina Anderson article, as well as other articles relating to The Troubles, Irish Nationalism and British Nationalism in relation to Ireland, is under a 1-revert-restriction, meaning no more than 1 revert in a 24 hour period. FDW777 (talk) 06:42, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please self-revert your 1RR breach on the article. Thank you. FDW777 (talk) 23:04, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies, we disagree on this and I will not revert the edit. MA is retiring, it is factual and uncontroversial to report the reasons why she is leaving elected office.
If you choose not to revert it, I'll be filing a report for edit warring. Please self-revert your edit and obtain consensus on the article's talk page before reinstating disputed edits. FDW777 (talk) 23:23, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You are the one edit warring. The people of Derry have a right to know why their MLA is retiring.

Disambiguation link notification for May 3[edit]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Johann Lamont, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Better Together.

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Edit warring at Martina Anderson, a Troubles article[edit]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Per a complaint at the edit warring noticeboard. The article on Martina Anderson is covered by the WP:TROUBLES arbitration case and all such articles are under a WP:1RR restriction. This means that two reverts within 24 hours breaks the rule. EdJohnston (talk) 20:33, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Copyedit to Nicola Sturgeon article[edit]

Hello, I've made alterations to what you added to the article on Nicola Sturgeon, which you can see in the Revision History of the page.

Changes to the edits, from my first change to the last:

  • The YouTube citation would be satisfactory to solve the [better source needed] tags I placed, but the problem is that that YouTube channel appears to be violating copyright as the video is not licensed by the BBC. If there's another licensed video of it, I'd be happy with that.
  • Sturgeon's comments on the eviction ban doesn't seem like a tangent to me, it's just a statement of her view on it, saying she disagrees with select critics.
  • "Despite this, she remains a strong supporter of Scotland's oil and gas industry." is not cited or implied in any of the sources given. Either way, the statement doesn't need to be given, her actions and comments just need to be stated and readers can make their own decision on that.
  • The text in her speech preceding "The Scottish Government will continue to support the oil and gas sector as strongly as we possibly can" was not included in The Guardian article, and that missing text drastically changed the content of what she said. I summarised what that preceding text said.

I would like to hear your thoughts on these changes. You can reply to me here, or you can leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Uses x (talkcontribs) 20:19, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

June 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Scope creep. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Scottish Greens seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Complete NPOV. scope_creepTalk 12:43, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Gaeltober: I'm worried that you have agenda, or at least an NPOV regarding the Scottish government and its MP's. I have had to revert several edits already. scope_creepTalk 12:52, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Your edits to Mhairi Black seem to indicate your trying to dull these types of articles by creating an artificial NPOV, that wouldn't or shouldn't exist. I will be checking for the next couple of months. scope_creepTalk 12:56, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you seems to putting in a lot of low-quality bare url references, instead of full cite. Please take a look at WP:REFB and start creating proper references. It is not 2005 anymore. scope_creepTalk 13:08, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Your still putting a spin on it, and not providing the full facts, which is problematic. That is failing WP:NPOV. scope_creepTalk 10:46, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
