You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Redaktor Wikipedia 600px.png

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 05:06, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Infobox for Vanuatu maps[edit]

hi Gary,

Thanks for all your recent edits on the various islands of Vanuatu, they're very useful. I noticed that you've used alternatively two different templates for infobox: "islands" (example for Lo) and "settlement" (example for Tegua), even for very similar entries – Lo and Tegua are two neighbouring islands, so could have been treated the same. One big difference seems to be that "infobox settlement" comes with a 'pushpin' (=a red dot on a map) which makes it very easy to spot the location of an island on a map (e.g. Tegua); whereas "infobox islands" only allows for a very general map, where locating an island can be quite difficult for readers who don't know the country well (it's particularly difficult for Hiw, Lo, Merelava, Ureparapara or even Gaua, which are not named on the map…). Plus the fact that this map is outdated, cf. the use of "New Hebrides" for Vanuatu, and of "Santa Maria" instead of Gaua, both of which date back several decades. At least, I'd like to encourage you to use the "settlement" infobox, as it seems to be doing a better job.

Do you think it be feasible to convert the infobox "island" into "settlement", at least for the smaller islands? Or do you know a way to add the pushpin option to the infobox-islands template? (I'm not savvy enough to do it myself). Thanks in advance, keep up the good job. — Womtelo (talk) 11:08, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

Hi Gary, Thanks for your quick reply. I've posted a query on the Template's talk page, let's see if someone comes up with any idea. In the mean time, I will personally favour the "infobox settlement" as you rightfully did for Tegua island. — Best, Womtelo (talk) 09:58, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

De Zwethheul[edit]

Sorry, I am undoing your edits on De Zwethheul/Aan de Zweth. Effectively it are two different restaurants with a new chef and new staff. Head chef Mario Ridder took his whole staff with him to his new restaurant Joelia in Rotterdam.

I have updated the article now but I am awaiting the move back. The Banner talk 20:46, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Montserrat national football team[edit]

Looking at your January 22, 2009 edit of Montserrat national football team - [1] - you added cap information, including 1 for Kurt Phyll whose article is now nominated for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kurt Phyll on the basis that he has no caps. Do you by any chance have any recollection for the source of that information? I can see he was part of the match squads for all of three of the 2004 and 2008 World Cup qualifies, but the match reports show he never left the bench. And he was also part of the squad for The Other Final, but I can't find a match report. Nfitz (talk) 15:05, 24 August 2015 (UTC)

Yes, I can see I did do that at the time and I can only retrieve his brother Peter Phyll having amassed (at least) 4 caps. Must have been mistaken at the time so Kurt Phyll has won no caps as far as I am concerned. Gruesome Gary 22:17, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
Thanks! I'd be clueless if someone came looking for my 6-year old edits!?! Can barely remember what I did this morning! :) Nfitz (talk) 00:03, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

Can you help me to improve / create new seasons here: Port Vila Football League and VFF National Super League. People may confuse which one is the Top Division ! I asked you because I have seen you edited before there. I already started to improve !--Alexiulian25 (talk) 01:01, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 28[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Irmantas Stumbrys, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Baltic Cup. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
