Matthew Cameron (born December 1, 1990)[1] is a Canadian television personality and drag queen. Competing under his drag name, Scarlett Bobo, Cameron was a runner-up the first season of the reality competition series Canada's Drag Race in 2020.

BoBo began performing as a drag queen around 2008. Her drag mother is Tenora BoBo, and she got her surname from Ginette BoBo [1]. BoBo is based in Toronto.

In May 2020 Scarlett Bobo was announced as a contestant first season of the reality competition series Canada's Drag Race [2], ultimately placing as a runner-up.[3]

Following the conclusion of the season, she headlined a cross-Canada tour with the other Canada's Drag Race contestants, which was performed at drive-in venues due to the ongoing social distancing restrictions remaining in place during the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada.[4] In October, she participated alongside Priyanka Priyanka, Rita Baga and Jimbo in an online panel discussion as part of the Just for Laughs festival.[5]

Being a non-winning competitor in a reality show is not in and of itself a notability claim that secures inclusion in Wikipedia -- to actually get her own standalone biography independently of the show's article, a queen who didn't win the season has to demonstrate that she's also gotten media coverage in some context not directly related to the reality show itself, such as music or ongoing acting roles.
But six of the ten footnotes here are not notability-building sources: her music is being referenced to online music stores like Amazon or iTunes instead of media coverage about the music, her own self-published website about herself verifies a fact but is not evidence of her notability, and werrrk.com is a blog, not a reliable source. The only acceptable or notability-building sources here are the four media hits (Entertainment Weekly, CBC, Cosmo and Variety), but none of them are about Scarlett BoBo strongly enough to get her over WP:GNG: one just provides biographical sketches of all the competitors, two just briefly mention Scarlett's name in passing while not being about her, and one just verifies the scheduling of the JFL panel without actually mentioning Scarlett at all. So this isn't good enough, and you need better sources (ones that are reliable, and about Scarlett) before it can be approved.
