please, no RUNNER-UP in (in the case you're editing) La Liga, runner-up is for cups (domestic or European) and national team competitions, not for leagues.

Voy a intentarlo otra vez - al ver lo que ví en el artículo del Real Zaragoza - ahora en español: los HONOURS son como sigue: los RUNNER-UP son para las copas (nacionales y europeas), mundiales y eurocopas, NO PARA LAS LIGAS (primera o segunda o tercera o quarta). También se aceptan los terceros puestos en: mundiales, FIFA Confederations Cup, Africa Cup of Nations, etc.

Si vuelve a pasar (y no me parece que mi mensaje en inglés haya sido muy dificil de entender), hablaré con algun administrador porque ya no sé que hacer. Saludos - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 18:21, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

de tu primer mensaje había entendido que no se podía hacer mención a los subcampeonatos (Runners-up) de las Ligas siempre que el club no haya conseguido al menos un título (Winner) de dicha competición y que, por otra parte, sí se podía hacer mención de los subcampeonatos de las copas nacionales e internacionales aunque el club o selección nacional de que se trate aún no haya conseguido ningún título.

Con tu segundo mensaje, creo que te refieres a que hice mención a los 4 subcampeonatos de Segunda División que posee el Real Zaragoza. En este caso creía que era correcta su mención porque dicho club cuenta con un título (1977-78) de dicha competición entre sus trofeos y también porque en los artículos sobre clubes que han ganado al menos una Liga se hace mención de los subcampeonatos que han obtenido en dicha competición a cualquier nivel, como sucede por ejemplo en el artículo dedicado al Real Madrid C.F.

  • Muchísimas gracias hombre por tu respuesta. NUNCA he editado en el artículo del Real Madrid, pero te puedo asegurar que esta mal, los segundos lugares en qualquier LIGA no cuentan para los títulos, solo copas y/o competiciones europeas de clubes, más lo ya mencionado en equipos nacionales.

  • Se me olvidaba: se puede hacer mención a los segundos lugares u otros en HISTORY, de hecho en la historia del Zaragoza aparece lo siguiente: "...it did succeed in finishing in the top five every year until 1968–69, with two third-place finishes...". he estado mirando el manual de estilo de las páginas de clubes de fútbol Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Clubs y en el apartado relativo al título de liga, dentro de la sección HONOURS, parecen incluir también los subcampeonatos Runner-up, lo cual parece ser incorrecto ¿o no? Hola Vasco,

ya me había fijado que en el palmarés de algunos jugadores del Real Madrid hacían referencia a los runner-up de las ligas, lo cual me parecía raro. De ahora en adelante cada vez que lo vea lo suprimiré.

Una pregunta, ¿se pueden dejar las menciones a los runner-up de las copas y supercopas (nacionales e internacionales) dentro de los títulos de los jugadores?

Wow thank you so much for updating that page! I maintained that article for almost the duration of the season, but took a temporary leave to study for finals, during which RMB were knocked out of the Euroleague, and I never got back to retroactively completing the page, although finishing it remained in the back of my head for the past three years haha. Euroleague championship roster templates

Hi! I saw your last edits considering Real Madrid Euroleague championship roster template - Template:Real Madrid Baloncesto 2014–15 Euroleague champions and noticed that you've removed assistant coaches. I personally don't think it's good idea to leave only head coaches along with the players there. Regardless of the tradition with the such Euroleague championship roster templates, I find very good solution in the NBA's ones. What do you think about this idea? If I re-add assistant coaches, you or anyone can't find any rationale for removal in the future, but I also wanted to discuss this matter with you, and eventually with other contributors... Also, please, stop adding 2nd tier European championship rosters as their notability isn't of great matter, better saying only minor. en.wiki. is widely seen by NA region and too many such templates would be problematic and complex for those readers...--AirWolf talk 23:55, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"FC Porto in international club football" renaming

Hello. You did not provide a reason for changing the name of this featured article. Was is just to make it consistent with other articles? This was discussed two years ago, and somehow unofficially considered that articles of football clubs with titles in competitions not exclusively organized by their continental confederations (Intercontinental Cup or FIFA Club World Cup) were better named as "Club in international club football". This style would be as integrative as possible, and it would seem rather odd to describe these worldwide tournaments as "European", or "Asian", etc. Even if they are a small percentage of a club's palmares (even for the likes of Real Madrid or AC Milan, who have won plenty of them), they still should not be regarded as limited to a single continental area.
