Information icon Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Ryan Allsop, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Andrew Davies (footballer), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:46, 25 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding live updates to snooker tournament articles[edit]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that you are one of several editors who are the subject of a discussion on the 2019 World Championship Talk page. You have been persistently adding live frame-by-frame updates to the match scores in direct contravention of WP:LIVESCORES, which clearly states "The current consensus is to not add visible match or frame scores to an article until the match is completed." You have ignored requests to stop this disruptive editing and failed to take part in the discussion. We are looking at measures to prevent the practice of live score updates, which may require admin involvement. Rodney Baggins (talk) 13:53, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Live scores[edit]

Please stop adding love scores of snooker matches, per WP:LIVESCORES. This is not done. We are not a news site.Tvx1 16:15, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I was just about to leave the same reminder, but with these additions:
Your love of Snooker is obvious, and I truly commend you for it! Your eagerness to update match-scores is admirable, but it goes against WP:LIVESCORES. It would probably be a good idea to postpone the updates until match is over, instead of giving a blow-by-blow (well, frame-by-frame) account.
Still, your updates of centuries and the likes are absolutely and unassailably nice! I hope you will keep up the good work! —Wasell(T) 16:46, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

New darts player template![edit]

Hello,

Just bringing to your attention that I have created a new template to help ease the inclusion of PDC player links in tournament brackets.

You can check it out here Template:PDCFlag.

Long story short, {{PDCFlag|Gary Anderson}} displays  Gary Anderson . (without having to transcribe the country code or the piped link. There are avg and bold parameters as well so {{PDCFlag|michael van gerwen|avg=123.45|b=1}} displays  Michael van Gerwen 123.45. They're also all spanned with the "nowrap" class so we can avoid having to use that.

Cheers, and I hope this makes our lives easier! If you have comments/ideas for parameters or noted bugs, please let me know. —DLManiac (talk) 23:17, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Editing on behalf of a blocked editor[edit]

Taking note of this discussion, please be aware of this policy governing proxying editing on behalf of a blocked user. In short, I recommend you don't do it. --Hammersoft (talk) 17:50, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have moved the article you created on behalf of JRRobinson to Draft:2023 US Darts Masters. This article follows the same problematic issues that were highlighted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2023 PDC World Cup of Darts. See also the topic ban for JRRobinson discussion which noted this problematic behavior of primary only sourced articles. Further, editing on behalf of a banned user is not allowed.
Please consider this a warning. If you continue to engage in proxy editing you may be blocked from editing. If you're unclear about any of this, ask, but don't continue to do it regardless. --Hammersoft (talk) 18:46, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your updating in the ongoing tournament. Please just be aware that, in the "Frame difference" column, we're supposed to use minus signs ("−") and not ndashes ("–"). CueTracker[edit]

Since the WST totally screwed up their website, and we're both relying on CueTracker to get centuries and high breaks, do you know how to go about getting it removed from the blacklist? We could then add some proper refernces to the centuries section. I had a look, but it looks a bit too complicated a process to me.  Alan  (talk) 11:29, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm the same really, I wouldn't even know where to start. I think the best thing to do is just carry on with what we've been doing and hope the new scoring site is up and running soon. Catb2006 11:54, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've entered a request for "whitelisting" at MediaWiki talk:Spam-whitelist. I hope I've done it correctly. Have a look. So we'll see what happens. Again - Don't hold your breath!  Alan  (talk) 15:26, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The new site https://scores.wst.tv is now up and running, but (IMO) it is sh*t compared to the old site. Still relying on CueTracker for centuries and high breaks.  Alan  (talk) 18:32, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Zhou Yuelong's century[edit]

I don't think it was a 144. I watched it and I think it was a 132. The live scoring isn't working properly.  Alan  (talk) 10:23, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry - just watched it again and it was a 144.  Alan  (talk) 10:47, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Snooker Shoot Out, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 2023 Snooker Shoot Out. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Seniors 900[edit]

Hello to you. Can you add the above event to the 2023/24 snooker season calendar please ?. It was the first event of the new World Seniors Tour season. It is similar to the Snooker Shootout but the Seniors 900 matches last 15 minutes which is 900 seconds. It was all played on one day the 29 December 2023. It was played at Epsom Racecourse in Epsom, England. Stephen Hendry beat Jimmy White 1-0 in the final. It was live on Channel 5 in the UK. Can you add this event under World Seniors Tour for this season please ?. Thank you. 178.167.139.7 (talk) 14:11, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Adding century breaks[edit]

@Catb2006: It would be very helpful to me (and maybe others) if you would put the player's name and break value in the edit summary line when you are adding in century breaks, especially when there are seven or eight matches being played at the same time. This makes it easier to keep track of the total, not many so far but a lot more to come. It would seem to be just you and me entering these at the moment. Thank you.  Alan  (talk) 08:04, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
