Around the World - A Good Heart

I would like to know why you have removed the following line from the Around the World page:

The main composition of the video is incredibly similar to the video of Feargal Sharkey's song "A Good Heart".

The background of the video of "A Good Heart" is so similar to the composition of the video of "Around the World" that I cannot beleive you have removed the reference.

Template:Daft Punk

The insistence that the navbox only hold links to standalone articles seems to be an opinion only held by yourself. You've reverted several people over what appears to be two years now to keep the template at what you believe to be right, when the documentation concerning navigation boxes says nothing about what links to not use. Also, WP:NAV isn't even a binding policy. It would appear that throughout the last 3 years people have been wanting to include this content on the template but you are the one who has solely been fighting against it. Why should we not include links or mentions to two albums that have existed simply because they are subsections of other articles?—Ryulong (琉竜) 05:18, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

The most obvious reason would be that it is misleading and redundant. Piping a link to an article section to make it look like a district article is confusing. WP:PIPE may also apply in this case. Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo about the "Born in Paris"

Hello,

I saw you sourced the fact that "Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo was born in Paris, France." with their recent interview in Telerama.fr.

However, in this interview when they reacted about Wikipedia stating they were from Versailles, Thomas said :

« T.B. : (...) Je suis né et j'ai grandi à Paris. » → "I was born and grew up in Paris"

but Guy-Manuel said :

« G.-M. de H.C. : Moi, je suis né à Neuilly, quand même. » → "Me, I was born in Neuilly, I mean."

(dunno which Neuilly it is but it's another question ;)

I think a more accurate translation would be, "Me, I was born in Neuilly, even." This would imply a district or suburb within Paris. This only applies to Guy-Man, and since he doesn't specify which Neuilly, it would be more accurate to refer to Paris generally. jhsounds (talk) 13:32, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

You're free to discuss the genre classification on Talk:Daft Punk, but this article has been prone to constant changes to the infobox regarding that. The immediate concern was that your edit broke the wiki formatting of the infobox itself, which is mainly why I reverted it. jhsounds (talk) 13:00, 10 May 2013 (UTC)

I agree that cited analysis should be included in the article. However, it would best be included in a more specific section, such as "Composition". My goal in my recent edit was to avoid overlap with the existing "Background" and "Reception" sections, both of which contain compositional analysis. jhsounds (talk) 14:57, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

Interstella

Where do you delineate what is considered implicit versus explicit during the scene with the book and the flashbacks involving other musicians being aliens? Both are implied as a function of dialogue-free storytelling (including many other scenes compared to how they're described in the article). There was a huge debate on plot length and analysis in Talk:Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem that may help clarify this. Basically the problem is as you said, that this is a dialogue-free film and we should avoid inferring too much regarding what is visually shown. Explaining that the Cresendolls were not the first band to be used by the Earl is the key plot development of the flashback scene and is mentioned concisely, hence "in brief". A full account of the Earl's origins is somewhat tangential -- what the reader needs to know is simply that the Crescendolls' plight is but a small part of Earl's grand plan, i.e. a the-plot-thickens twist. Why do you insist on reverting the edit? As I said in the talk page they are universally regarded as a french house band. Moreover labeling them as just House has never been discussed so it makes even less sense to label them as such, and others seem to agree as well.
