How long does it take until I can edit pages that are locked?
Koopatrev (talk) 14:47, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
- In order to be able to edit pages that are semiprotected your account has to be WP:Autoconfirmed, which will happen automatically when it is four days old and you have made 10 edits. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 15:18, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
- See Wikipedia:User access levels#Autoconfirmed users= 4 days and 10 edits (unless IPBE) can edit Semi-protected articles; Full protection is only administrators; Locked is Wikimedia staff. Dru of Id (talk) 15:23, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
How do I use the {{#if}} template?
This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
I need to use this template for a template I just created, but I don't know how it works. I want to create multiple (optional) parameters so people can use them, Thanks!Koopatrev (talk) 12:39, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
- I'll leave the "helpme" in case someone more expert comes along, but have a look at mw:Help:Extension:ParserFunctions and Template:IF. JohnCD (talk) 13:04, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Koopatrev! According to Help:Magic words, it works like this:
- {{#if: test string | value if non-empty | value if empty }} (selects one of two values based on whether the test string is empty)</nowiki>
- Example:
{{#if:{{{1|}}}|VALUE|}}
produces VALUE if the{{{1}}}
parameter is defined, and nothing if it isn't. benzband (talk) 16:46, 19 May 2012 (UTC)- Removing help me as both JohnCD (talk · contribs) and benzband (talk · contribs) have helped. Follow the instructions to re-add it if you need any more help. Thanks, Nathan2055talk 16:59, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

Open proxy ban
This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
Sometimes when I try to edit a page, there is a warning stating that I am banned from editing for a year because of open proxy thing with an IP address. I don't know much about IP addresses, and I didn't know why I was banned, I have an account which does not deal with anything related to my IP address, but it won't let me edit. Sometimes it changes from 11 February 2012 - 11 February 2013 to January 2012 - 2013. And sometimes I'm allowed to edit again, like now. Can someone help me unblock my IP address or just my account, thanks! Koopatrev (talk) 07:50, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
- You can find information on this at Wikipedia:Open proxies. If this happens frequently to you, admins can grant you an IP block exemption so that edits from your IP are not caught in such blocks anymore. I have opened a request at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations#Quick Checkuser requests for a CheckUser to verify that this is the problem and, if required, grant you said exemption. Regards SoWhy 10:20, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
IP block exempt
I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.
Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.
Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.
Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).
I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. WilliamH (talk) 07:42, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

Re: "Tea Peter"
Hi there! Unfortunately I am not very familiar with articles guidelines for television episodes, nor have I ever conducted a GA review. I am quite certain there is a reviewer out there much more familiar with the reviewing process than I am... I would wait until someone else (perhaps from WikiProject Television?) can offer a more thorough review. I just noticed the external links were missing and that there was a request for feedback, so I offered by two cents. Keep up the great work! --Another Believer (Talk) 02:34, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
