November 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm GiantSnowman. I noticed that you made a change to an article, William Gros, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that Ali Diarra, a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. January 2017[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Ali Diarra a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Non-free image use[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to a page, specifically Dominican Republic national football team, may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:57, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

File:Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran.png[edit]

The non-free use of File:Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran.png was discussed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2016 February 17#File:Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran.png and the result was that non-free use is only considered acceptable in Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran. If you disagree with this or have any questions about it, then please discuss things with the closing administrator Graeme Bartlett as explained in WP:CLOSECHALLENGE. You have already been asked above to be careful about adding non-free file's to articles. It's OK to make mistakes, but if you continue to make the same mistakes even after being asked to be careful, then eventually an administrator will be asked to take a look and see if any action needs to be taken to prevent further disruption. Before adding any image file to an article, you should click on the image and check to see how it is licensed. If it is licensed as public domain or under a free license, then there are probably no problems using it in the article. If, however, it is licensed as non-free content, then you need to make sure the way you want to use the image complies with Wikipedia's non-free content use policy. If you're not sure, then ask for assistance at WP:MCQ or WT:NFCC. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:30, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Netipong Sanmahung, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Netipong Sanmahung, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. March 2017[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Netipong Sanmahung, to Wikipedia, as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Please stop creating deleted articles without addressing the underlying problems. Doing this repeatedly is disruptive and may get you blocked from editing. Sir Sputnik (talk) 15:41, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Oscar Kahl[edit]

The article Oscar Kahl has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of 2017 Ubon UMT United F.C. season[edit]

Hello Kwamrak,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged 2017 Ubon UMT United F.C. season for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

ArbCom 2017 election voter message[edit]

Hello, Kwamrak. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free image use again[edit]

You have been advised about inappropriately adding non-free images to articles, particularly soccer team articles, previously at #Non-free image use, #File:Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran.png and #Non-free use of File:Football Association of Singapore crest.svg. Non-free image use is tricky and you need to make sure that before you add a file such as File:Thailand national football team logo, March 2018.png to an article like Thailand national under-23 football team that the use complies with Wikipedia's non-free content use policy. The way you do this is providing a separate and specific non-free use rationale which shows how the policy is met. Providing a rationale does not mean the particular use automatically is policy compliant as explained in WP:JUSTONE, but it at least give others something to assess and discuss. Adding non-free images to articles without providing the required non-free use rationale might be seen as a good faith error when done once or maybe even twice, but you've been repeating the same mistake over and over again. You're not going to be warned too many more times before an adminstrator is asked to intervene and take appropriate action; so, please try and be more careful. -- Marchjuly (talk) 11:43, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Since your account was created, you have yet to make a single post on any article talk page or user talk page. The way editors communicate with each other is through such posts on talk pages. You're not obligated to respond to anything anyone posts, but it's going to be assumed that you read the things that others posted and that you understand them when you don't respond. About an hour after I posted the above, you added the aforementioned Thai national team logo to three more articles without adding the required non-free use rationales for each additional use. Once again, if you have any questions about why you shouldn't do this, feel free to ask them here. You can also ask for help at WP:MCQ or WT:NFC. As I posted above, continuing to make the same mistake over and over again is going to lead others to believe that you're not interested in listening to what they are telling you and also lead them to question whether you have to competence needed when it comes to non-free content use. You really need to make sure that any non-free image you add to an article complies with relevant policy because there will be no more warnings after this. An administrator will be asked to step in the next time this happens and take appropriate action. -- Marchjuly (talk) 14:14, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

National team kits[edit]

Per WP:NOTGALLERY, please don't restore kits in the article. If readers want to see the team historical kits, they can click the commons link located in the right section of the article that will redirecting them to Thailand national football team gallery in Wikimedia Commons as also been did to other neighbouring teams of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. Thank you. Molecule Extraction (talk) 18:05, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This account has been blocked indefinitely based on persistent addition of poorly sourced content despite multiple warnings. Certain competence is required to edit the English Wikipedia, and from the lack of communication this is unfortunately the only remaining preventative measure.
