To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Your edit
[edit]Just to let you know, editor Loukus99, Formido and Metus are now disambiguation pages. So when you link to them, the way you did at Deimos (deity), the only links on the dab page are the deity self-links. The only way to fix it was to delink the links you made to the dab pages. Thank you for your support in this! P.I. Ellsworth ed. put'r there 13:32, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
[edit]Hello! Please stop repeatedly doing things like this! We do not add fictional or approximate dates and years to Wikipedia articles as if they were facts. Best wishes, --SergeWoodzing (talk) 11:06, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
Likewise at Rognvald Eysteinsson. Please read WP:CITE carefully or you are going to start receiving formal warning messages. Ben MacDui 11:20, 28 February 2021 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 28
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tullstorp Runestone, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Norse. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:13, 28 February 2021 (UTC)
Dates for mythical Swedish kings
[edit]Please stop inserting unsourced years of reign and similar for mythical Swedish kings. Since they are not in the primary sources, they need to be attributed to some reliable historian.
[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Halfdan the Black, you may be blocked from editing.
In February, you were specifically asked to stop making edits like this, with an explanation of why Wikipedia does not accept that kind of addition. A week ago, you made these edits. Wikipedia guidelines on reliable sources have not changed since February. Please stop making that kind of unsourced edit. bonadea contributions talk 09:06, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
And in Hallbera Ulfsdóttir you added an infobox back in May, with a bunch of information that is not found in any source. Where did you get the information that she was a writer? Where are her birth and death years recorded? What does "occupation=nursery" mean – and how does it tally with the claim that she was a skald? --bonadea contributions talk 09:20, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
Request reason:
unsourced or poorly sourced content
Decline reason:
I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 12:06, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I guess I won’t even add anymore unsourced or poorly sourced content ever. Loukus99 (talk) 08:02, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
Loukus99 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Persistent addition of unsourced content far too many, careless as well, gave the motto of a shopping center as the motto for the town, gave a motto from a film as the motto for a country, adding dates contradicted by articles, etc. Loukus99 (talk) 07:22, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Yes, this is what you did(you're repeating the block reason verbatim), but you don't describe what you will do differently to ensure that you won't add poorly sourced content again. It would help for you to give an example of a properly sourced edit that you would make. 331dot (talk) 07:55, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
