Why did you remove the page on Ornias? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.179.183.49 (talk) 16:02, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

- Because it is not notable, per our standards. Our articles must be about subjects covered by reliable, secondary sources. It does not appear to be the case at the moment. Maybe once the game is released, it will receive significant coverage. If we are wrong in this assertion, don't hesitate to provide sources and I'll consider restoring it. -- lucasbfr talk 09:07, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Your lack of consideration in deleting Frontier 1859, where several contributors were involved shows your true colors you communist.

Sorry for not responding,
I don't know how I missed, but I was talking of this CU. It technically wasn't a CU, but it was done by a checkuser.— Dædαlus Contribs /Improve 12:42, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Please reply on my talk page, I can't take more pages into my watch list, it's too big already. Admin pages get much activity, and having another one there would just make it worse.— Dædαlus Contribs /Improve 12:45, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I have contested the deletion on the talk page, if that's allowed. I've also edited in copyright details on the image GTAWiki.jpg. I just took a screen-shot of the GTAForums front page, nothing big. Radicell (talk) 13:54, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Recentness of blocks
Please join the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:Administrator_intervention_against_vandalism#Long_term_vandals_and_freshness_of_warnings. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 16:47, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- I know why you are referring me to this. I hesitated because of the ongoing discussion below the report. However the IP I blocked is a school IP. If vandalism resumes just after the previous block ends, and I see no recent useful contributions, I don't think allowing more hit and run vandalism from that IP is to our advantage. The block is not meant to punish the individuals who sit and vandalize (or I'd wait for the full set of warnings). I don't think that asking for fresh and final warnings on obviously shared IPs is useful (I however insist on that on single IPs and user accounts). -- lucasbfr talk 17:10, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks, I think it probably is a derived image, but felt that it was not necessarily clear cut enough for a speedy, as it may be they are derived from a parent image so needed the closer look. --Nate1481 13:16, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Dear Lucasbfr, I am writing with regard to the image being considered by deletion. The original photo did indeed come from the Yahoo Group that you were unable to get onto. You were unable to get in because you need an account in order to look at the group's files. At any rate, even though I originally got it there, it probably originally came from a licensed poster and book, which I've tracked down and listed in the Non-free use media rationale. Hopefully this was the correct course of action to take since the images are useful in Oom Yung Doe article. You will have to believe that I uploaded the photos in good faith, albeit with limited knowledge of how to correctly upload media.Cjim63 (talk) 01:54, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Chinese New Year
I dispute Chinese New Year article, and I hope I can avoid a revert war. But I don't know how I can dispute the article without revert warring when Angelo_De_La_Paz reverts[1] my disputation with no explanation or discussion. VeryGoodBoy (talk) 23:58, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Why was this deleted? This was MY article that I wrote that I posted on http://www.raycountyhistoricalsociety.com/ and Karen who is the manager of the musuem and website started this for me. This was the first of many stories that I am writing on the Ray County Poor Farm. If this is a copyright violation I would like to know what I stole and from where. Re: 75.139.138.105's vandalism
I work for one of the television stations he's named. I can confirm that his information is false. WAGA is owned by Fox, and will not be shopped out; in addition, WXIA (which is owned by Gannett) has a long-term affiliation agreement with NBC, which is also not being shopped out. His information is false. Period. --Mhking (talk) 15:50, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

the mayans were nice people
yes it is true!! the maya never killed not one animal, they were completely carnovore. they loved corn, they believed that it was the fruitfrom god, but they did not call it corn, they called it "maize". they would also eat a lot of fruit; although they did not have much vegetables in their diet... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.224.28.137 (talk) 22:09, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure that's spelled carnivore -you really should do something about your spelling-, and that means eating dead animals. So if you disregard those killed by lightning you probably need to kill them yourself once in a while. But I have no idea what you are talking about. -- lucasbfr talk 07:06, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
Help with image licensing
Greetings, I am trying to help User:Njcraig clear the rights to Image:JOSE1.jpg, currently in use on article José Sarria, in an attempt to get the article promoted to FA. Both the user and I are very confused about what needs to happen to resolve any questions regarding the copyright status. The image is currently tagged as public domain, released by the "International Court System". According to Njcraig, the original copyright holder is deceased and passed the rights to José Sarria. José then passed the rights to the ICS, who released them. What needs to happen so that Wikipedia is clear that the image has been properly released into PD? Thanks. The designation "speedy" in the ambox's type parameter is apparently placing the template in CAT:CSD. I previewed just removing "speedy", but doing so changes the look of the template itself. It's all from one guy actually, Yasis (talk · contribs), a banned POV pusher and sock user that comes back on a different IP every other night to wikistalk me. Probably better to leave it unprotected so they don't get frustrated and go for mainspace pages. Thanks for the offer though.
PS: I normally don't also put the IPs on AIV, but that one just got off a 72 hour block and had already vandalized a few times before Yasis got to it. A lot of the IP's he's using right now have long vandalism histories. NJGW (talk) 13:54, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
OTRS Ticket #2007122210004268
I would like to challenge the OTRS ticket as false information. I spoke with the OSS Society of McLean and they claim the image is public domain. Now, either the OTRS is claiming false ownership or the person I spoke to lied. I personally go with the lady at the OSS Society and her Public Domain claim. Since the OTRS ticket is in question, I ask that the image in question, Image:OSS-seal.JPG, be restored immediately and this taken to AN/I for further admin input. - NeutralHomer • Talk • October 30, 2008 @ 19:40
