If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Prateek Nirmal Kumar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Bentogoa (talk) 07:27, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article Monty Patterson has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Nitin Nilesh Prakash. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2018–19 Wellington Phoenix FC season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Thomas Doyle (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:29, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello, Magnificentman. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Papatoetoe AFC Pumas".

Hello, Magnificentman

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username SportingFlyer and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I’ve proposed an article that you started, Prateek Nirmal Kumar, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criterion. The particular issue can be located in the notice, that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to prevent the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the raised issues. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SportingFlyer}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Referencing

[edit]

Hi Magnificentman, I really do appreciate all the editing you do, to update the Nix articles. Just wanting to give you some advice about avoiding bare URLs as while they are fine when proving the update, in the future they are prone to Link rot.

Have a read of referencing for beginners to learn more. I personally like using "refToolbar" as it just requires you to pick the type of reference and copy/paste the required information. Works both on web and my mobile too.

If you have any questions, I'm happy to help out as well. Thanks again for your editing! NZFC(talk)(cont) 07:03, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Point of improvement

[edit]

Hey mate,

Firstly, thanks a lot on all the help and updating on the A-League clubs' season pages. Secondly I just wanted to point out something to improve - when the same reference is used more than once, instead of copying it, what is preferable is to give one of the instances a name and then call that name in the next instance. For example, here I updated your last addition - in the first use of the reference for McManaman I use the full reference with a name: <ref name="McManamanGestede">{{cite web|url=https://www.melbournevictory.com.au/news/players-depart-victory-first-team-0|title=Players depart Victory first team|website=[[Melbourne Victory FC|Melbourne Victory]]|date=9 July 2021}}</ref> and at the second use for Gestede I just call it: <ref name="McManamanGestede"/>. Once again, thanks for all the help :) --SuperJew (talk) 07:12, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
