Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Wikipedia:Sandbox, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you believe there has been a mistake and would like to report a false positive, please report it here and then remove this warning from your talk page. If your edit was not vandalism, please feel free to make your edit again after reporting it. The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Wikipedia:Sandbox was changed by 209.20.219.145 (u) (t) blanking the page on 2008-05-21T00:34:44+00:00 . Thank you. All I did was clean the page of tests. As 70.64.78.207 would say, it isn't a crime.209.20.219.145 (talk) 00:16, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do you want to create the results table? It's painful work. You are killing me by editing the section. It's called an edit conflict and it's a huge waste of my time. I PUT THE DO NOT EDIT THIS SECTION MARKER UP which means do not touch. You can have it when I'm done. Trust me to get it right, or at least close enough. I have better things to do with my time than edit conflicts. Either let me know if you want to do this instead of me, or don't touch it until I remove the {{inuse-section}}. Royalbroil 04:00, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm tired of you causing me edit conflicts. You can write the entire table. Royalbroil 04:08, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry I caused edit conflicts. I did not see the message. I will still make most of the table. I am just not knowledgeable about the average speeds.209.20.219.145 (talk) 04:15, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ahhh! Somebody kicked me off the computer last night! :( I apologize. 209.20.219.145 (talk) 16:43, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Finally, I got 25 drivers done. Hope it makes your time feel a bit better. Sorry! 209.20.219.145 (talk) 17:45, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you're going to be doing lots of editing, you should seriously consider creating an account. Kenhullett (talk) 20:21, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Issues prevent me. Otherwise, I would have. 209.20.219.145 (talk) 22:29, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind! I now have an account at User:Meisfunny!

Admin

Thank you very much for considering me for administratorship. However, other editors have already offered to nominate me, and when I finally do get my act together, I will use them as my nominators. But I would be very thankful if you would support my request for administratorship, whenever it happens. Best, --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 04:30, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

2007 IRL pages

No edit wars shall be started. With the polesitter and race-winner already being stated on the original 2007 IndyCar Series season page - and to an extent in the results section, it doesn't need justification in the header. You can leave it in, if you want. But maybe, expand on it with pole times for the polewinners. Just a thought. Cs-wolves (talk) 16:08, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't mind. I'll probably do them all, when I've got some spare time (which is more often than not now). Get the bot to do the introductions and all that, but I'll do some of the other stuff. Regards. Cs-wolves (talk) 16:21, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A bot is not efficient for creating the minor race articles that you have suggested. A bot like an Auto Wiki Browser is designed to repetitively add or subtract information on existing articles. For example, it would work to add all articles from a specific category to a WikiProject. A custom written computer program might do a much better job, although I think manually creating them would be the best. Otherwise you could save the database in Word and do a mail merge.
Generally creating a lot of very short articles like you proposed is considered a bad thing, except if you plan to expand them right afterwards. You should provide references in the article. The articles should have more than a sentence or two about the race, otherwise it will probably be deleted or merged back into the year article. Some particularly good race articles that I worked on were the 1992 Hooters 500, 1959 Daytona 500, and 1979 Daytona 500. Note how each of them discuss what happened during the race.
I feel the need to discuss the lead paragraphs (see WP:LEAD). Each article needs to stand on it's own, so duplicating content in a year article is expected. The lead paragraphs should tell you why the race is notable, plus the major facts about the topic for someone who wants to read just the introduction. So it should contain the pole winner, winner and maybe any major events. I didn't do a good job with the leads on those 3 articles that I mentioned. Royalbroil 02:36, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar

Thanks for the barnstar. It's always great to know that you are appreciated! Were you the editor that contributed anonymously on the article that gave me a lot of edit conflict? I think I got a bit too whiny to whoever that was. Royalbroil 03:36, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In regards to WP:MTG...

I highly respect the thought here, but you are aware the project is basically defunct, right? Feel free to ignore me if you're trying to revive it. Cheers. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 18:26, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Modest

Sure, if you feel like making a template for the modest barnstar, that would be swell. User:Pedant (talk) 15:23, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

About your Barnstar

Hi! I noticed that you created the Creator of Barnstars Barnstar. I was bored one day, fiddled around on Photoshop, and came up with a new image that could be used for your Barnstar (see left). I brought my new image to the attention of Wikipedia:WikiProject Awards on their talk page here, and it was suggested that I contact you about this. Would it be okay if I replaced your image for my new one? If you're not okay with this, I'm totally fine about it. :-) - k|e|n|g - t | c - 04:29, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Meisfunny. For background and explanation, you may want to look at User talk:Keilana/Archive7#User:Basketball110/Mr. Potato Head Cabal and some of the following threads, Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents/Great Cabal Debate, and Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Cabals. I hope this all makes sense; please let me know if you have any questions or need help with something. Regards, Keilana|Parlez ici 17:26, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your rollback request

Hello Meisfunny, I have granted your account rollback in accordance with your request. Just remember that rollback should only be used for reverting vandalism, and that misuse of the tool (either by using them to revert good-faith edits or to revet-war) can lead to its removal. For practice, you may be interested in seeing Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 20:58, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

...for participating in my RfA, which closed with 119 in support, 4 neutral and 5 opposes. I'm honestly overwhelmed at the level of support that I've received from the community, and will do my best to maintain the trust placed in me. I 'm also thankful to those who opposed or expressed a neutral position, for providing clear rationales and superb feedback for me to build on. I've set up a space for you to provide any further feedback or thoughts, should you feel inclined to. However you voted, thanks for taking the time out to contribute to the process, it's much appreciated. Kind regards, Gazimoff 22:16, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Meis,

Was this your edit? If so, could you log back on and sign it? Otherwise, it has to be indented.---Balloonman PoppaBalloon 13:38, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yup. Sorry about that, I had to leave suddenly and never got time to fix the edit. I'll do that. Meisfunny Gab 16:55, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How To...?

Question1: There are a couple of spelling and grammatical errors in the "Dietitian" page. I also noticed it has hardly any references to support any of the information (some of which I can prove to be false). The "Nutritionist" page is similarly full of similar errors. Where do I begin?
The talk page for Dietitian is rather lengthy, and I don't know if I should start a new section or argue one way or the other on each point?
Or only the ones I deem worth arguing for or against?
I am still unclear on how to insert references, such as, "Dietitians must complete 4 years of schooling[1]"
1. American Dietetic Association: Handbook of Registration Requirements, pp101-112 etc.
Question2: Where do you feel Wikipedia needs the most help? (i.e. verification of facts, eliminating vandalism, correcting spelling and miscellaneous errors, etc.?Careiter (talk) 19:59, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE:Image licensing

It would be allowed by using the proper licensing. If you use the {{Non-free game screenshot}} template with rationale describing it, you could use it—similar to info on Image:Mlb2k8 ss.jpg. Hope this helps. :) Latics 02:21, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Check my edit here. I apologise for not telling you before, haha. You must include a rationale/description of what is included in the image or screenshot. You can use for the {{Non-free use rationale}} template for this. Latics 03:02, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:LLminigame.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:LLminigame.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 02:36, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Newsletter delivery request

Sorry about the late reply. I'd be glad to deliver your newsletter! The only thing I need you to do is to write the newsletter in a subpage of your WikiProject (see Wikipedia:WikiProject Nickelodeon/Newsletter/September 2008), and make a list of your WikiProject's members (link to their talk pages), see Wikipedia:WikiProject Nickelodeon/Newsletter/Members. The bot will add the message to any link that's on there! Tedious to start, but it goes pretty quickly when it's running! Thanks! If it's okay with you, it might make it easier for me to convert your logo into SVG. It'll be easier on the wiki's servers. (it won't make much of a difference, but it'll still help). Here's a prototype, below:

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!
