Thanks for uploading Image:Jannarden photo3.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Agnte 07:12, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hare Krishnas

[edit]

I noticed your edit on the vegetarian page which included the comment that Hare Krishnas are strict vegetarians i.e. vegans - are you sure this is true? While Krishnas do not eat eggs, I am pretty sure that they eat dairy. For three days a week at the university I attended, a Krishna group would serve vegetarian food that always included some type of dairy-based dessert and I don't think it was specific to this particular group. I'd like to know if it's otherwise though! Thanks! hotdiggitydogs 22:36, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your comments. I think you might be correct in that they may be permitted to consume dairy. I have heard both comments. I know of a famous Hare Krishna cafe in Soho in London which is Vegan, and I know they don't each eggs, but you might be correct in this one --Mezaco 22:49, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Abcstores.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Abcstores.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Spoilers

[edit]

As a rule, we don't add spoiler tags to movies such as 1408 (film) unless there is an extremely good reason to do so. Otherwise, a plot will obviously give away spoilers so the tags aren't needed. -WarthogDemon 18:39, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Pnina rosenblum2.jpg, by Calliopejen1 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Pnina rosenblum2.jpg is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Pnina rosenblum2.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it did not nominate Image:Pnina rosenblum2.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 15:55, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to thank you for adding the information about Catwalk. It's been so long since I saw the show that I had trouble recalling the characters and all that jazz. Thanks for citing it too. :) Pinkadelica 02:53, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The line contreversy.

[edit]

I got your reply but I do have my point. Although I don't have a video clip, maybe you could do either two things, watch it on YouTube or on DVD. What I got in Australia is the official version. The reason the line is longer is whether you are in the US having a longer version or you did not watch the show and instead rely on the script.

The DVD and the subtitles did officially has the line "Jerry, I've always..." then edited to George and at the same time after she said that line the plane steadied itself. I maybe wrong but the film never lies, but the "you" is too hard to hear through the plane noise. Well if we still can't agree than why not ask the Seinfeld Wikiproject group and see if they either watched the official version, the US version or just reading the script. I recommend that you should watch it again but slowly and see if I'm wrong. In short, never jump to conclusion just because it's off the script. Try my suggestion and see if everyone agrees with you because I shouldn't be the only person to talk to. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 06:28, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just a heads-up: A discussion (and my rather long-winded reply) can be found here. Joelster (talk) 07:27, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You win. On one condition, if you live in the US, please mention that is the US version. I can be the unhappy type if you simply put it in without explanation. If you wish to edit anymore of Seinfeld universe and there is a conflict, talk to Joelster and seek for his approval. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 08:05, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to bother you again but I just thought I'd say that I don't approve of some of the things Johnny says about me. I may be the founder and perhaps one of the most active members of the Seinfeld WikiProject, doesn't mean you have to consult me if you want to edit a Seinfeld article. I am by no means the "Seinfeld Oracle". I wish I was, but hey, you can't always get what you want ;) Anyways, you're welcome to join the WikiProject at anytime (if you want to) and remember to be bold! Joelster (talk) 08:21, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing. Although I don't like to brag, I do admit I'm a hothead, but at least I'm learning to remain calm and cool. The one mistake I made most is deleting a page from another user and I got banned from trying to get what I want. If I don't want to make anymore mistakes, it's best to discuss ideas on the discussion page so that you don't end up getting hammered for making mistakes. Sometimes without citing. This now helps me make new friends and avoid my nemesis: Edit War. In short, I shouldn't go around making enemies but instead go for at least a compromise. You should wait until Joelster and his team makes there decision. Remember this paragraph. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 11:16, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request to move article The Mole (US TV series) incomplete

[edit]

You recently filed a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to move the page The Mole (US TV series) to a different title - however your proposal is either incomplete or has been contested as being controversial. As a result, it has been moved to the incomplete and contested proposals section. Requests that remain incomplete after five days will be removed.

Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:

  1. Added {{move|NewName}} at the top of the talk page of the page you want moved, replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
  2. Added {{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}} to the bottom of the talk page of the page you want to be moved, to automatically create a discussion section there.
  3. Added {{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}} to the top of today's section here.

If you need any further guidance, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Requested moves or contact me on my talk page. - JPG-GR (talk) 05:54, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Coastlogo.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Re:Black Latino article

[edit]

The only reason I haven't removed unsourced stuff from List of Afro-Latinos or wherever is my nearly complete disinterest so far. We're not required to justify one edit at one article with a similar one anywhere else, btw.

You can't merely cite practices at one article as sufficient reason for what you do at another article. If it looks "stupid" for the BH&LA article to go imageless, so be it. If you really want it to look 'smart', then I suggest you find some images of "black" Hispanics, per reliable sources, to include.

"I'm sure we can as a group find an example of ONE black hispanic person to add to this article."

I'm sorry, but I'm not interested right now, as I stated. You'll have to do it without me. I wish you luck. Cheers. SamEV (talk) 01:40, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why?

[edit]

Why did you threaten to ban me? I have not called you a single name, nor have I said anything rude to you in my post. I don't think I can be banned for my post. Actually YOU were the one insulting me. Do you remember typing the following- "You have major temper problems. So let me rephrase this as if I were speaking to a 2 year old". or "I'm sure you have no idea what "continuity" means, so I won't bring that up. Maybe you should go take a deep breath and focus on something else?" I believe that you are the one that is rude.--68.19.253.42 (talk) 05:31, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't remember what this was about, but I do apologize. --Mezaco (talk) 18:08, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome (2nd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:22, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Mom jeans.jpg

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Mom jeans.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Mezaco! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 138 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Pupul Jayakar - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Jann Arden - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

A tag has been placed on File:Delta Ottawa.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Non-free rationale for File:MarkKelley.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:MarkKelley.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:27, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of One Day More for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article One Day More is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/One Day More until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Coin945 (talk) 06:26, 21 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:10, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:PriceSmart Foods logo.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:PriceSmart Foods logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:35, 26 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
