You Seem to No A Lot.....

[edit]

Your edits to Nick Wilton are extremely helpfull it's just especially the 'Personal Life' section, there are no references for what you are saying, which on Wikipedia it is important to have them. Now if you are actually Nick Wilton in real life then you could expnad your biography section on your website so we can have references for the marriages. Now if your not Nick then how do you no this? :) Thanks once again for the contributions.MayhemMario 12:58, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am indeed Nick Wilton. I had to rejoin with a new user name because I couldn't remember my password and hadn't registered my email. Was very excited to find I had a Wikipedia page, but wanted to correct a few things that seem to have got confused somewhere along the way on the internet. I'm slowly learning how to use Wikipedia but am used to "cut & paste" so it's all a bit new to me. I know where there is internet back-up for some of the personal details so will try and add references. Thanks for your help and interest Nickwilton001 (talk) 17:14, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wow! If you need any help just ask me! I made the article as I thought it was about time there should be one! Do you now the dates for the 'Unknown' Filmography sections? Also you should do more interviews! Try and do some about EastEnders to Digital Spy (that would be great) MayhemMario 20:42, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Im a big fan of you so when your next appearing in EastEnders tell me! It would be better if you could write about how you like EastEnders on your website as it is a reliable source whereas blogspot isnt really... Also (you might not want to talk about this) your first wife? MayhemMario 20:46, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for posting the article - very honoured. I put the odd comment on my blog because it's quite informal, and I have to be very careful what I say as a term of my contract - that's why I never say anything too specific. Yes, I'll try and fill in a few of the "unknowns". I have no problem talking about my first wife - her name is Kerry Waddell (although she did marry again for a while and became Kerry Coldwell). We met working in theatre where she was an assistant stage manager and while we were together she moved into television working up from Floor Assistant at the BBC. She was Stage Manager on Red Dwarf and I think she is now Line Producer for Steve Coogan's Baby cow Productions.Nickwilton001 (talk) 22:01, 5 June 2011 (UTC) Still new to all this - can everyone see this page? Nickwilton001 (talk) 22:02, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well yes everyone can, only if they look at it though! Thanks by the way helping out the article. You could talk about (in a interview) how you would describe your character, your favourite storyline, favourite character, how the oppurtunity came around etc. Or does that do something to your contract? Sorry! Though you could on your webiste put some information about your early and personal life as IMBd isnt really a reliable source but your website is more of a reliable source. I hope if you do need anything you could just ask me! Also if this was to much make one of yuor images on your website a free-license image to go on your article to allow everyone to see you? MayhemMario 16:16, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I own the photo on the home page of my .com website but really struggled with converting it from jpeg and gave up, but am happy for it to go on this page. If you can do it for me I'm happy for that. How do I make it licence free for you? Nickwilton001 (talk) 07:01, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'll ask around as I dont no! MayhemMario 18:03, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.Oh, I added a couple of radio shows to the awards section Nickwilton001 (talk) 14:03, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've asked around, and I dont no, sorry.MayhemMario 20:28, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks anyway - it's a shame you can't load a jpeg photo Nickwilton001 (talk) 09:18, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a Flickr account? Also can I move this to my user talk, it's just easier. MayhemMario 19:07, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Easier for you, Mario, but Nick may not know about the watchlist yet. Best to keep it all in one place. –anemoneprojectors18:41, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I know I have let you down, by not putting in my best for trying to get that picture of you. But I hope I did you proud of your article. ^___^ MayhemMario 15:03, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merry Christmas

[edit]

Belated Christmas greetings back to you. There is a picture on my website at www.nickwilton.com - can't I give you permission to use it?--Nickwilton001 (talk) 11:36, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I thought you were long gone! No im more experienced I will investigate!!! MayhemMario 17:51, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, heres a step by step guide:

1. Go to Wikipedia:Upload. Scroll down, if the image is entirely your work (meaning you took the photo yourself), then click on the first option (Wikipedia:Upload/Own work), if it is someone elses work click the second option, make sure you have their permission! 2. Depending on which one you pick; read through the guidelines first, making sure if it (for both options) is okayed by the author of the image. 3. Make sure you have saved the image on your doucments. Then, click 'Browse' and fidn the image in your documents. 4. Enter a file name (e.g. NickWilton.jpg) 5. Enter all the file data:

File information

Put the 4 squiggles down. (18:42, 20 January 2012 (UTC))

Permission
(Reusing this file)

See below.

6. Once done that, choose the licensing, just below the text box, choose: the 2nd one from the bottom, if you only want this image used in Wikipedia articles. 7. Upload!

Please Note. Make sure you have got the authors permission for this image. I may have expalined it wrong, so I apologise if anyhting does go wrong. MayhemMario 18:42, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that. I had a go and think I've managed to upload a photo Nickwilton001 (talk) 01:24, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No, I failed. It's more complicated than I thought. It's a photo that I paid the photograher to take of me for publicity purposes, so I obviously have total right to use it as I wish but unfortunately I haven't got that in writing. So I think I'll have to leave it. But thanks for your help. Nickwilton001 (talk) 01:37, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I have fixed it for you, and hello again! :) MayhemMario 21:05, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Nick Wilton.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Nick Wilton.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 01:20, 18 March 2012 (UTC) This is all way beyond me, I think I'd better just leave it. At least I tried. Nickwilton001 (talk) 01:33, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
