Succession boxes[edit]

While I appreciate the addition of the succession boxes to various roller coaster articles. Please check your facts carefully. Your succession box was not correct for Iron Rattler. The previous tallest coaster was Mean Streak, not LeMonstre. Also, the succession box should appear in its own section titled "records" and should be placed before the reference items, not at the end of the page. Look at the succession box for Magnum XL-200 as an example of where the box should be placed.JlACEer (talk) 15:44, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Also removed the ones at Son of Beast. This coaster forfeited its claims after its closure. Other coasters didn't really succeed it; they were just the next tallest on the chart. --GoneIn60 (talk) 17:15, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add succession boxes unless the information you're adding in there is mentioned somewhere in the article text. The information needs to be sourced, and the succession box really isn't the place to do it. If you have questions about this, don't hesitate to ask. I removed your recent addition to New Texas Giant for this reason. --GoneIn60 (talk) 03:58, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Your recent activity at Desperado indicates that you are not listening to the advice you have been given here and in edit summaries. Roller coaster drops are measured in length not height, so we do not call them "tallest", we call them "longest". See List of roller coaster rankings as an example. Also, some of these succession box claims you're making are bogus and not mentioned in article text. At Desperado, you claimed it was preceded by Magnum which is incorrect. Pepsi Max Big One opened a few months before Desperado in 1994, and it had a longer drop than Magnum. So Steel Phantom was preceded by Magnum, but Desperado would have technically been preceded by Big One. This is why the succession box is inappropriate for this roller coaster. It's misleading and inaccurate. The "tying" of the already-held record can simply be mentioned in prose. If you need further help, start a discussion on the article's talk page or leave me a message on mine. Thank you. --GoneIn60 (talk) 13:43, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop editing roller coaster succession boxes by adding unsourced content — and by that, I mean not sourced within the text of the article. Also, you have been notified not to use the term "Tallest" Roller Coaster Drop. The correct term is longest, but make absolutely certain it is accurate. If you continue to ignore this advice and these notifications, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.JlACEer (talk) 20:44, 27 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Twister (Gröna Lund) moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Twister (Gröna Lund), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:51, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
