- Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page to follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons' policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring and sock puppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Institute of Advanced Study in Science & Technology, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.babujobs.com/iasst-assam-assistant-professor-positions.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Hi, I've done a bit of work on this article to bring it closer to Wikipedia standards. Please note that you don't sign contributions to articles, only comments on talk pages. There's one sentence where I don't know what you mean - could you clarify it please. Also, fusion leads to a "disambiguation page": you need to choose a specific article to link to. Thanks. PamD (talk) 08:44, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
This article reads like an advert - it does not say what the organisation does or why it is notable enough for a Wikipedia article. It may be likely to be "speedily deleted", unless you can add some facts to the article. PamD (talk) 08:57, 8 February 2011 (UTC) Welcome!

- It needs considerable additional work, and I am doing some of it. The next thing to add is a list of the journals it publishes, with an indication of whether they are indexed in major selective indexes such as web of science, and a list of the series of conferences. There is also needed some reference to the organization providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases. I'll comment further on the article talk p as necessary. DGG ( talk ) 04:33, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

MfD nomination of User:Rajah2770
[edit]User:Rajah2770, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Rajah2770 and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Rajah2770 during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. ArcAngel (talk) ) 15:48, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

- Hi there, Rajah! There's no need to use Template:hang-on in this case. Just go over to Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Rajah2770 and leave your comments there about why the page should be kept. Nomader (Talk) 20:04, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
- Rajah, your userpage does not conform to the userpage guideline. Please see WP:FAKEARTICLE to understand why. In a nutshell, userpages should not look like Wikipedia articles, as yours currently does. The correct infobox to use is {{infox user}}, and all of the references need to be taken out. along with the categories (as they are meant for articles and not userpages), and the stub tags. I'm sorry that I did not ask you to do this before I placed your userpage up for deletion, but if you make the changes that I mentioned, then your userpage will conform to the guidelines. There are categories you can use for userpages, you just can't use the ones meant for articles. ArcAngel (talk) ) 01:29, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Anjena Begum Hazarika
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Anjena Begum Hazarika requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Speedy deletion nomination of Rusmat Ali Hazarika
[edit]You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
A tag has been placed on Rusmat Ali Hazarika requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. JohnCD (talk) 12:22, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

Your user page
[edit]Welcome, again, to Wikipedia. As you were notified above, there was a deletion discussion about your user page at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Rajah2770. I have closed that discussion as keep, which means that I will not delete it, but I am writing to explain why your present user page is not appropriate and to ask you to change it. Do not take this as a criticism: it takes time to learn Wikipedia's rules and standards, and everybody learns by making mistakes and having them explained.
Wikipedia is a collaborative project to build an encyclopedia. Among the many things that Wikipedia is not, it is not a social-networking site for people to write about themselves and their friends and families. In particular, writing an article about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at WP:Autobiography.
User pages are provide for users, if they wish, to provide a little information about themselves to assist communication with the other volunteers who are here to help build the encyclopedia. They are not intended for CVs, or for detailed autobiographies which look like articles. This is explained in the Userpage policy, which you should read, and which includes:
"Generally, you should avoid substantial content on your user page that is unrelated to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, so your user page is not a personal website. Your user page is about you as a Wikipedian, and pages in your user space should be used as part of your efforts to contribute to the project."
and
"Userspace is not a free web host and should not be used to indefinitely host pages that look like articles."
Subjects for Wikipedia articles have to be notable, which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." There is more detail at WP:Notability (people), and the standard for academics is explained at WP:PROF. While you are very welcome as a contributor, I have to say that in my opinion if your user page were posted as an article, it would probably be deleted as not meeting WP:PROF, and in any case for the reasons stated in WP:Autobiography it would not be appropriate for you to post it yourself. Nor is it appropriate on your user page. Please replace it with a brief statement of your background and areas of expertise, such as will be useful for other contributors who may correspond with you.
