RE:Turkish Name?[edit]

Hallo Rigadoun, I can ensure you that the Mosque does exist, and has this name, also in the literature (i.e. in Krautheimer). The name is sometime spelled "Feneri Isa (Camii)", but the real name is "Fenari Isa". I visited it during the last Bayram (and, incidentally, someone stole there my shoes, but I did not write this in the Article ;-)) I think that our turkish fellows just forgot to add it in the list. Géraud Réveilhac[edit]

Hello,

I wrote the uppon mentionned article. On Template talk:Did you know, you mentionned the article "is being considered for deletion" on the french WP. I can tell you it has been kept, see fr:Wikipédia:Pages à supprimer/Réveilhac. In fact you can see the work that has been done since it has been requested for deletion on this dif. Originaly, even the firstname of the General was unknown, nor his birthdate, or death.

General Réveilhac was certainly not a great officer, he became famous with the Stanley Kubrick movie which is based as you mention on l'affaire des caporaux de Souain. He is the portrait of the generals of WWI who considered men as simple weapons. Near a century after, in France, Réveilhac is still honi. He is considered like a murderer, even if he was only one of a 100 look a like generals.

I'm actually doing researches to get some more information about this General. I hope these lines will make you feel better about the article.

Linking tool with disambiguation pages[edit]

I noticed your edits to Blanche. You must be careful when editing disambiguation pages to follow WP:MOSDAB, which suggests not adding secondary links, and instead only have links to pages that one may have been looking for by that link. Dutch Declension/Dutch Declension System[edit]

Hello there,

I wish you have time to go through the histories and part of the edits of both pages and Archaic Dutch Declension and realises it's all done by a user who keeps insisting Dutch have all the cases which is totally incorrect. Why merge with a page of erratic information?

Vietnamese diacritics[edit]

Hello. I notice that you are contributing a lot of articles about Vietnamese people, without using the diacritics used in Vietnamese (for tone, etc.), and sometimes these are changed by other people. Is there a standard naming convention/manual of style on the English Wikipedia regarding Vietnamese? I can't find a statement about it. I would think the original version (with diacritics) should at least be mentioned, if it is not used in the page name. Are you able to add them? Your articles are nice, by the way. Unfortunately, I am not particularly confident in that some people have names with the same characters but the diacritics are different - two of my relatives for instance. As a result, I would generally not add diacritics unless I know from a Vietnamese source what the diacritics are, or unless the name is so common that it is highly likely that it is a given diacritic. The other thing is that I have no Vietnamese keyboard, so I can't do anything, unless I go trawling through other articles and look for the exact character and diacritic combination and cut and paste, which is somewhat difficult. In any case, as far as the location of the articles, it is often put without diacritics. I have to say I do this when I create new pages because it is more keyboard convenient, although I will not move an article if it is located where there is a diacritic. As for the lead, the full diacritic is used, even if it is not used in the rest of the text. I think User:DHN would be most qualified to help you in supplying the correct diacritics. Thanks for that - there are about 10 - 15 others (historians - australian, american, dutch and indonesian)that need adding -and I would beg to differ re their position re the indonesia project - but thats the equivalent of a long coffee or a couple of beers worth, so thanks for your cleanup. I hope to sometime later this year try to do an article about the 1950s or was it 60s - the controversy that Berg, and others got into that claimed that Sultan Agung 'invented' his ancestors, and the push to discredit javanese sources as not havng anything reliable in them as historical documents (something florida was doing for solo kraton manuscripts up to 10 years ago)- a complex argument and controversy and will not touch for ages until all the bits are in place.And MC is an integral part of all that. cheers SatuSuro 23:51, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I really like your idea of creating a separate Russian subgroup, to differentiate from unsorted. The individual letters I used next to the languages were unique to those scripts, but as Russian is kind of the base script, should we instead use small flag icons? Just letting you know, some users have opposed the substitution of {{Persian}} with the modified template and prefer keeping the separate template. Yes, I agree. As I have said in my talk page, I now realize it wasn't an appropriate thing to do, more like a hasty mistake.
