Hey

Hi. Please do not spam the "thank" button. I have received 5 thanks from you within ten minutes (and to be honest that's a bit annoying). Thanks and happy editing :) Abelmoschus Esculentus talk / contribs 15:08, 7 December 2018 (UTC)

Pending changes reviewer granted

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Zombie gunner

Most of Zombie gunner's images (as well as those of his multiple IPs) are probable copyright violations. He has been removing Deletion requests from nominated images in an attempt to block the evaluation process [1]. We have been having severe editorial issues through IP jumping on these few India-related article which have been damaged beyond recognition. There are many copyvio issues, falsification of sources, dates (For example change of image description at Commons false date then changing the description of Wikipedia [2]) etc.... And it is impossible to correct as IPs keep returning without accountability (apparently same user, from two alternating places, now Zombie gunner since today). There have been several efforts at blocking the user [3], but this is never ending. I have asked for article protection here and I am attempting to clean up.पाटलिपुत्र Pat (talk) 16:58, 13 September 2019 (UTC)

If there are IPs still returning and editing the articles, maybe we could block them temporarily or indefinitely while the articles are being cleaned up. Page protection (like permanent protection) is a good idea too, so we could make it so that unregistered users can't edit. I can help you fix the articles too, if you want. ∞southernkangarootalk17:35, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
Thank you Southern Kangaroo. His IPs are jumping several times a day... I did ask for Page protection here, which did sound like the best idea, but ended up with the Pending request system... Let's work together on improving these articles... पाटलिपुत्र Pat (talk) 17:41, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
Sounds great! And hey, a pending request is better than it being ignored or denied completely. There might be a higher chance of the pages getting protected as well. ∞southernkangarootalk17:48, 13 September 2019 (UTC)

Acceptance of pending edits

Hi, I wanted to let you know that the acceptance of pending edits such as this and this is not justified as they are not constructive. --Tamravidhir (talk) 05:21, 14 September 2019 (UTC)

IP block exempt

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit the English Wikipedia through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions. Inappropriate usage of this user right may result in revocation. I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption.

Would like to know your source of information about The Lepcha People Rachelmitnl (talk) 17:12, 24 September 2019 (UTC)

Not getting sources, but simply reverting/undoing. In the "Try to fix problems" section of W:EP, "Instead of removing content from an article, consider correcting inaccuracies, while keeping the rest of the content intact", and "libel, nonsense, and vandalism should be completely removed". ∞southernkangarootalk17:35, 24 September 2019 (UTC)

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. 217.130.92.146 (talk) 18:25, 27 September 2019 (UTC)

September 2019

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Parador shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Guy Macon (talk) 18:29, 27 September 2019 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mason Carver requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Melmann 19:51, 4 October 2019 (UTC)

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Your user page

I've removed and suppressed the link you had posted on your userpage as it is considered WP:OUTING of other users. Do not re-add that link (or similar links which out other editors) anywhere on Wikimedia sites. Thanks, stwalkerster (talk) 15:44, 22 November 2019 (UTC)

I won't add it again. I still strongly oppose the opinions of those editors though. ☮Senny is a Hippie15:51, 22 November 2019 (UTC)

UAA reporting

Please do not consider the "blacklist" a reason for blocking. Please read carefully the prominent note in orange at UAA before reporting, clear violations only. -- Alexf(talk) 15:16, 19 December 2019 (UTC)

Please also do not report accounts with no edits unless the username is egregiously in violation of WP:U. We can't do anything in most cases if there are no edits to consider. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 22:08, 19 December 2019 (UTC)

Your signature

With my eyesight, even with glasses, I find "☶☲Senny☶☲" very difficult to decipher in your signature. Could you please increase the contrast with the background a bit? Phil Bridger (talk) 20:49, 19 December 2019 (UTC)

  • (watching) Yes, this is per MOS:CONTRAST; also see WP:SIGAPP which is policy. Also note that per WP:SIGPROB, Signatures that link to, but do not display, the user's username...can be confusing for editors (particularly newcomers). The actual username always appears in the page history, so using just the nickname on the relevant talk page can make your signed comments appear to be from a different person. Not a major malfunction, but worth considering. If of course one is called SouthernKangaroo but wishes to be known as Senny, there's always the option to change the name itself. Happy days! Festive Greetings ——SN54129 21:04, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
I went ahead and changed the color from "LightPink" to "LightCoral", which is more visible. Also, "Senny" is a nickname I have, I wouldn't change my username. Sorry for the trouble. XXI U-Boat

I don’t see what is wrong with adding a more relatable sentence to the page

@DawsonThechickendood: - What you added to the article, "...and where sitting ducks to enemy boats", I originally thought it was vandalism. I also don't quite understand what you mean by that. I'd be glad to help if you need anything! ☶☲SouthernKangaroo☶☲ (☎) 17:31, 13 January 2020 (UTC)

When someone says “vulnerable to combat damage” I am very confused, so I put something a little more simple there. Dawsonthechickendood (talk) 17:34, 13 January 2020 (UTC)

Looking for Help

I'm looking for advice on what to do to contribute to Wikipedia. As in, other than mostly anti-vandalism, what else can I do to help? I feel stuck and I don't know what to do. ☶☲SouthernKangaroo☶☲ (☎) 15:01, 16 January 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for being willing to contribute. You can visit the Community Portal for some areas where help is needed. Some users will hit the Random Article button in the left taskbar and see if the article that comes up needs any work. If there are certain topic areas that interest you, there may be a WikiProject in that area that describes areas that need assistance(such as Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia). 331dot (talk) 16:03, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
