I understand

Yeah... I can understand why you wanted to revert that, but I think it is correct (according to the two sources there). Let me know if you have any input on how that part should be written. Thanks. Geographyinitiative (talk) 00:34, 8 November 2019 (UTC)

I'm not saying it's wrong, but it could probably be streamlined a bit.- Sumanuil 00:38, 8 November 2019 (UTC)

I am trying to present the claims of the parties involved as best I can. I'm not sure exactly how to do it, but that's as close as I can come atm. Geographyinitiative (talk) 01:09, 8 November 2019 (UTC)

Ok.- Sumanuil 01:56, 8 November 2019 (UTC)

'Find and replace is not your friend'

For what it's worth, I didn't do a find & replace (primarily because I was worried about "correcting" citations from external sources)—those were just actual human reading errors. Thank you for noticing them & fixing them! Pathawi (talk) 01:07, 12 November 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for your recent help and I wonder if you can tidy up the part of the template where Pantysgallog (Low Level) Halt appears, as there is a break in line continuity.

I really am most grateful to you. All is now well and the matter mentioned on the Template Talk section is now corrected.

Ajithkumar Thampan moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Ajithkumar Thampan, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. – bradv🍁 05:43, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

Topical cannabidiol not allowed

You are correct in that topical is not mentioned in that ref. I am searching the FDA website for specific mention. FDA Warning Letters to several companies make very clear that the prohibition extends to topical products, but I would prefer not to use a Warning Letter as a ref. See example WL: https://www.fda.gov/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations/warning-letters/bella-rose-labs-594246-11222019. David notMD (talk) 18:49, 27 December 2019 (UTC)

I removed a deleted image. Why does this require explaining? - Sumanuil (talk) 19:27, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
Thanks. I see that now. I thought it was vandalism, because you didn't explain it in the edit-summary. I only realized after I reverted it that there was a problem with the image. Then a bot deleted it and explain *why* the image was deleted, and *who* deleted it.
As for edit-summaries, I'll send you a post about that. --David Tornheim (talk) 19:29, 7 January 2020 (UTC)

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Enquiry and request?

Hi - two questions if I may please. Or more accurately one question and a request: 1) Why are you visiting multiple articles (mainly football clubs that I have noticed) and deleting thumbnail images of historic club crests, some of which have been in articles for years? 2) Could you please use edit summaries, so that I could possibly understand what you are doing without having to ask here? Also pinging @Govvy: who I noticed has shown an interest in this elsewhere. Thanks, Gricehead (talk) 14:14, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

I'm removing them because someone else deleted the files. Why do I keep having to explain this? - Sumanuil (talk) 17:53, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

Thankyou for the explanation. Can I respectively suggest that if you used edit summaries, you wouldn't keep having to explain it. Regards, Gricehead (talk) 20:20, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

I frequently do, and I still have to explain it here. - Sumanuil (talk) 22:36, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

Anne Pratt

I think your block reversion of the Anne Pratt page by removing the edits by elpano was a good decision. These edits were creating a considerable mess, and a number of them were inappropriate. Instead of being an encyclopedia page, it was turning into an essay using Anne Pratt as an example of the historical status of female workers in science and natural history. More like orginal research than wikipedia-ing, and some it was possibly unverified.

However the feminist project itself was worthwhile, and some of the added information (places of birth and death etc) was valuable. I wonder if there is any way some of it could be re-incoporated.

Foiled circuitous wanderer (talk) 14:51, 7 March 2020 (UTC)

Trade Union Coordination Centre

Regarding the TUCC article, please check the edit history and Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Hoax/fraud_attempt. The image was deleted for being unused fair use image. I noticed the issue today, and I've asked the person that deleted the image to undelete it. --Soman (talk) 02:35, 18 March 2020 (UTC)

I apologize. Without a link to the report, I was not inclined to take the declaration of a hoax seriously, as I don't know very much about the topic and people are often too quick to use such language. - Sumanuil (talk) 21:50, 18 March 2020 (UTC)

Additions on sodium chlorite & chlorine dioxide

Wanted to touch base with you and let you know I've added some. Please let me know if you see anything that might need improving. Thanks for any input you might have!

Also of side note (I don’t think it needs adding to WP articles), chlorine dioxide is considered of strong enough significance in the coronavirus fight that China’s National Health Commission has specified chlorine dioxide products as one of the categories of disinfectants it is temporarily exempting from full import record-filing requirements. , https://chemycal.com/news/cef97717-90f7-473a-90d7-c7f9dec5cc13/China_NHC_Releases_Interim_Measures_for_the_Emergency_Use_of_4_Disinfectants Field In (talk) 17:32, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

List of most visited art museums?

Why did you delete most of the list of the most visited art museums? The intro said the list would include all museums with more than a million visitors; I had seventy-seven entries. you deleted all but the top twenty. Is there a reason for that? Thank you! SiefkinDR (talk) 19:00, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

The intro said 'top twenty' as well as that. As I said in my edit summary. Which is it going to be? - Sumanuil (talk) 19:01, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

I published twenty when only that number was available, but now the full list is out. I would like to publish just the museums with over one million visitors, which is about seventy-seven. The full list published by the Art Newspaper has one hundred museums. I've been doing this each year for the last few years. Cordially, SiefkinDR (talk) 19:29, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

Then change the lede. And make sure your edits don't add broken files, which is what initially drew my attention to it. - Sumanuil (talk)

OK, thanks. SiefkinDR (talk) 20:26, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

Notice

The article IEEE Education Society has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable sub-group of notable organisation

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Fayenatic London 14:30, 20 April 2020 (UTC)

I know. I create radio station articles around a template I have created. The template has that Image:IMAGE built in. About a minute and a half later, in the next edit, I added the image. :) I appreciate your help, I do, but I got this. :) - NeutralhomerTalk • 03:57 on August 20, 2020 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter

Could you perhaps just leave that parameter blank in your template? That way it will never show up as having a missing file, and I can fix actual errors. - Sumanuil (talk) 04:50, 20 August 2020 (UTC)

I could. Typically, I only leave it the way it is (with the Image:IMAGE) for about a minute or two as I have the image ready to upload. I could change it to something else like Image:UPLOADING_IMAGE_STAND_BY. That isn't an image on English Wikipedia or Wikipedia Commons. That way it won't show on your category and if it does, you'll know it's me. - NeutralhomerTalk • 15:21 on August 20, 2020 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter

It would show up. Maybe File:No-logo.svg would work for your purposes? - Sumanuil (talk) 19:36, 20 August 2020 (UTC)

Joel Lane House

Is there a reason this article should display the parameter architect = Unknown? I don't really think it's standard (nor should it be) to label every possible unknown feature of a building as unknown, otherwise infoboxes would just be full of "Unknown"s. It doesn't convey any useful information. kennethaw88talk 02:44, 4 September 2020 (UTC)

No, but that doesn't justify breaking that image. - Sumanuil (talk) 05:50, 4 September 2020 (UTC)

Armenia/Azerbaijan discretionary sanctions

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hi, this is PopePompus. I wanted to say that I'm sorry if I acted rudely when I reverted your change to the Submillimter Array page. The image file *was* on wikicommons the whole time, but for some reason it was not reliably showing up on the Submillimeter Array page. I could see the image when I viewed the article with my phone, and also with my iPad. It did not show up when I viewed the article with my desktop machine. I have no idea why; I thought it must have been a cahing issue somewhere. Anyway, the image shows up correctly in the article now, and I hope I was not offensive when I undid your change. I *do* appreciate people who try to clean up Wikipedia articles.

Hi, thank you for your edit on my page. Vegdumplings (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 08:36, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

Ahh, I gotcha. Sorry I wasn't aware of the specific terminology, I will use that if I make changes like that in the future. Is there a guide I can check that will have information on terminology like that so I can be more precise in my summaries in the future? I'd like to be as clear as possible when putting my summaries. Nakhchivan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic

Hi. If you want to move a page, you should use the move feature instead of a cut/paste maneuver (see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Fixing cut-and-paste moves for why that's a bad idea). Of course, this is not possible for Nakhchivan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic/Nakhichevan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic as both pages have non-empty histories. So if you want to perform this move, you will have to start a formal move request where people will have a chance to argue about the best choice of title for this article. Cheers, Pichpich (talk) 00:01, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

What? All I did was remove a non-existent file. - Sumanuil (talk) 00:23, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Mkhitarishen image on List of cities and towns in Artsakh

Hey! I was just wondering if there was any specific reason as to why you reverted my change of image for Mkhitarishen (Muxtar) on List of cities and towns in Artsakh? I switched it to a skyline image that shows the entire village rather than just one showing a trail sign. AntonSamuel (talk) 00:29, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

The article popped up in "Category: Articles with missing files", and I mistakenly assumed (because it is often the case) that the most recent edit was the cause. In this case, that was yours, but it turned out to be the result of recent file deletions. I really should be more careful with edits using alphabets other than Latin. Feel free to put your picture back. - Sumanuil (talk) 00:38, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

No worries, thanks for the clarification! AntonSamuel (talk) 00:44, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

moving image

I have noticed that you removed a redlinked image from Cremnoceramus without (other than the indirect notice at the top of this page). I want to confirm that was the only reason.

The image file was under a move request at the time, and now under another final move request.

Before I replace the image, maybe in a different location on the page, I would like to be certain that you had no other reason for removing it. IveGoneAway (talk) 17:08, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

I didn't, I'm just used to people who don't understand how images work here. Go ahead. - Sumanuil (talk) 21:23, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

That's not really what this website is for. You do know Wikipedia mentions have no SEO value, right? - Sumanuil (talk) 02:15, 31 December 2020 (UTC)

Hey Sumanuil, it's not for SEO, just want to make sure its accurate thats all, with relevant mentions of what the company does and their history. Similar to DJI, GoPro and other company pages.

Hi, KrisHaag here. Thanks for helping clean up the Insta360 page. However, i noticed you deleted more than what i added, it's quite empty now. I'll add detail back to the page and be more specific with my reasons for editing, thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Krishaag (talkcontribs) 02:45, 31 December 2020 (UTC)

That's because much of it seemed inappropriate. Wikipedia is not for promotion. - Sumanuil (talk) 03:13, 31 December 2020 (UTC)

Understand if it seems inappropriate, not my aim to sound promotional, just informative on Insta360. Will be more specific. I think people would want to know what the company produce.

Hi, can you gove me a valid reason for deleting those RHF images? --Sb008 (talk) 09:21, 31 January 2021 (UTC)

Never mind --Sb008 (talk) 10:10, 31 January 2021 (UTC)

Edit summaries?

I had to come to your talk page to find out why you were removing images. It would be helpful if you could leave edit summaries. Doug Weller talk 19:41, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

I try, but it should be fairly obvious from looking at the pages themselves. This is basically all I do, anyway. - Sumanuil (talk) 20:01, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

Ok. When I am doing repeated edits I just use something I've copied and pasted, using Clipmate which captures clips, but that's no longer supported and there are others out there. It lets you set up folders also. Doug Weller talk 09:13, 2 February 2021 (UTC)

I have some summaries in my browser's autofill. I'll try to use those more regularly. - Sumanuil (talk) 22:11, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
