Language bias

[edit]

Hello Surfrazyusuf. In these edits:[3], [4], [5], [6], you pushed Tamil ahead without any explanation; even though those actresses have more appearances in other languages. Here, you've removed a language without any explanation. This has an aroma of language bias and kindly refrain from making such edits. -- Ab207 (talk) 06:17, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Toddy1. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Rameswaram–Faizabad Shraddha Sethu Express, but you didn't provide a reliable source. Verifiability is an essential part of Wikipedia's process. Readers must be able to check that any of the information within Wikipedia articles is not just made up. This means all material must be attributable to reliable, published sources. Your edits have been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 06:32, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please stop changing the names of places in articles to different names to those used as our article titles, as you did at Rameswaram–Faizabad Shraddha Sethu Express. We use the WP:COMMONNAME in English for our articles for places like Faizabad, not the "official" names, so changing the spelling breaks wikilinks to those articles and is confusing to our readers - thank you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 06:32, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

As per the government ordered Faizabad Station had been renamed as Ayodhya Cantonment with railway code AYC. Please do refer it with news. I haven't given any false statements. Whatever I had mentioned is full truth Surfrazyusuf (talk) 09:40, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
One issue is verifiability. It is not enough for what you mention to be the full truth. It needs to be backed with citations to reliable sources that support it.-- Toddy1 (talk) 10:51, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The other issue is the common name. If the agreed article name is Faizabad Junction, then that is the name to use. If Yogi Adityanath has ordered that it be officially known as Ayodhya Cantt railway station, it might be sensible to put that in brackets after the agreed common name, but Yogi does not control Wikipedia, and we use the agreed common name (and sometimes have formal discussions about what the name of an article should be).-- Toddy1 (talk) 10:51, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
