Proposed deletion of Ron Scot Fry[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Ron Scot Fry, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable, unsourced and few Ghits

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Information.svg Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Ron Scot Fry. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. (talk) 22:47, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Please don't worry about this warning: while you're not allowed to remove articles for deletion notices, there's nothing wrong with your action of removing a PROD notice. There's not often a good reason to remove it for no reason, but when you've expanded the article as you did to this one, there's no good reason not to remove it. Good job on the expansion :-) Nyttend (talk) 02:01, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Peter Estenberg[edit]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Peter Estenberg, and it appears to include a substantial copy of For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 03:00, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Peter Estenberg[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Peter Estenberg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Copyright infringement. I will give you 7 days to remove this content and/or inproce it.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Unioneagle (talk) 03:02, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Copyright information[edit]

Hi. Please do not paste text onto Wikipedia as you did here with material copied from [1]. While an alphabetical list of descendants is not copyrightable, the presentation of information can be and text such as "owner of land which was bound to furnish troopers" certainly is. Additionally, large chunks of copyrighted text are unusable, even if placed in quotation marks, in accordance with WP:NFC, and even brief quotations must be used for a reason such as the examples given in order to comply with fair use. We can't just replicate this or this, though you are welcome to use the facts from them in constructing new text entirely in your own words. Disambiguation link notification for August 19[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Viola Spolin, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Second City (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
