I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Making multi-use refs

[edit]

A simple task, just see the example below.

First, make a named ref:

<ref name="Whatever">Insert ref text here.</ref>

Second, use use a truncated version to copy the ref without copy/pasting:

<ref name="Whatever"/>

Obviously, you'll want a better name than "Whatever", but you get the idea. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 23:11, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

[edit]

Hey, Tohru-sa--.... um, hey Hippie (Hippie-san? Man, it's just not the same). Just out of curiousity, what's with the "new start"? If you want, we can discuss this via email. Whichever you prefer. // DecaimientoPoético 02:08, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bleach refs

[edit]

Hi, thank you very much for citing information on Bleach-related articles. Please make sure to format the references correctly, i.e.:

Bleach manga; chapter X, page Y.

(when you are citing from an individual chapter not yet in a volume), or

Bleach manga; volume A tankōbon, page B (chapter X, page Y).

(when citing a page from a volume - note that pages in a tankōbon are numbered differently than individual chapter pages).

Keep in mind the punctuation as well.

Thanks, Ynhockey (Talk) 18:14, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey!

[edit]

Sorry! I'm in my final year of high school, so I've been a bit busy, to say the least. Also, I discovered StrategyWiki, and I reckoned that StrategyWiki needs more help from me than Wikipedia does. I even managed, with a little help, to design a template, kick start a few game guides, welcome any newbies that cross my path and combat copyvio's and vandalism while I've been there. And I reckon I'm getting better at it too! Thanks for showing me the wiki ropes, I don't think I'd have 'been bold' enough to do all this cool stuff without your help. Right now I'm working on the Final Fantasy XII guide there - check it out sometime, I'm getting better at those aesthetically pleasing tables and pictures and stuff :-) [1]--Froglet42 11:30, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, just thought that I'd drop in and say 'hi'. Hi, how's it going? Yesterday was my birthday, it was awesome.  :-) Happy editing (and why did you change your name again, I'm curious!)--Froglet42 04:38, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyedit request

[edit]

Mackinac Island has been on the WP:LOCE list for FAC/FAR copyediting for a while with no attention given to it (or many of the other articles there). As you seem to be one of the most experienced and active copyeditors, I was hoping you could take a look at it. The (now failed, with the intention of renominating after a copyedit) FAC is here. Few changes have been made to the page since, so the concerns there (mainly wordliness) should still apply. Mr.Z-mantalk¢ 23:40, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I'll see what I can do with it. Mr.Z-mantalk¢ 23:51, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GAC backlog elimination drive

[edit]

This form message is being sent to you either due to your membership with WikiProject Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. A new drive has been started requesting that all members review at least one article (or more, if you wish!) within the next two weeks at GAC to help in removing the large backlog. This message is being sent to all members, and even members who have been recently reviewing articles. There are almost 130 members in this project and about 180 articles that currently need to be reviewed. If each member helps to review just one or two articles, the majority of the backlog will be cleared. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. Additionally, the GA criteria may have been modified since your last review, so look over the criteria again to help you to determine if a candidate is GA-worthy. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the GAC talk page. --Nehrams2020 00:46, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.

If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.

P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 21:46, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:CVU status

[edit]

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you!
