Congratulations

The 100 DYK Medal for Tim
Thanks for your first hundred. Keep up the good work. You do realise that if the capitalists would just stop the exploitation or their workers would accept it more easily then there would be so fewer DYKs! :-) Thank you for recording the struggles. Victuallers (talk) 21:29, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of New Labor Forum

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article New Labor Forum, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Why did you revert this edit? --NE2 04:02, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

  • For a number of reasons: 1) I had no quibble with the change on Line 9; my bad. 2) "The El Paso and Southwestern Railroad was purchased from Phelps, Dodge and merged into the Southern Pacific in 1955; the Texas subsidiary remained until 1961." - Why delete the 1955 date? And Cravens doesn't list a Nov. 1 date, just the year. The way you changed it would make the date attributable to Cravens. A citation is needed for the Nov. 1 date. 3) "...(formerly U.S. Route 80, but decommissioned in 1964 after Interstate 10 was built) largely parallels the railroad grade..." - Irrelevant. Let people read about U.S. Route 80 on that page. The other changes are, to my mind, six of one and half a dozen of the other. Why change it? 4) Categories: Many U.S. companies change their names during their history. However, this company was not just purchased or changed names; the establishment was the result of the merger of two independent lines, and the disestablishment the result of its ceasing to exist as an independent. - Tim1965 (talk) 00:59, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
