Thankyou for intervening with the Eliska Amor vandal[edit]

I've been trying for three days to stop that user from vandalizing the Eliska Amor article, so far I counted over 50 different edits like that (removing chunks of information) in the last three days from that same Chaplain College ISP, but the vandal edits the user was also making to Ashley Olsen, [[Mary-Kate Olsen] and Leonardo DiCaprio were identical each time, so it was quite obvious it was one user. I seemed to run out of options, so thank you for warning. Following your warning they vandalized again and another user implemented a block against the ISP. Great work :) --Rosario 05:21, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well that vandal in particular was beginning to drive me insane. Yeah, it's a good idea to request protection for the articles, good thinking. I don't understand why people waste their time vandalizing articles - especially students using school computers, you'd think they should be researching chemistry or something. --Rosario 05:30, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey mate, sorry for the late resp. Did it work? I'm still and admin noob :) Cheers! Dfrg_msc 04:21, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ACID Atom[edit]

The article Atom, which you voted for the Article Collaboration and Improvement Drive on September 8, and was removed on September 11, because on one got around to choosing it as the winner, has been renominated and needs votes. Zginder 16:11, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Romney[edit]

I am curious why you undid and then again undid your own revision of George W. Romney's page. I've been periodically monitoring his page and have seen the polygamy reference autonomously deleted many times. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jfmcel (talkcontribs) 09:53, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Are you out of your mind!?!?!?[edit]

Kevin!!!!! You have more user talk edits than you do mainspace edits! You must start editing. Don't even bother to respond to this! Hillexallen 05:24, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User talk deletion - Help desk[edit]

  • For people who weren't around when the ban happened, it is good to be able to read the talk page, so they know what happened. Also, bans are reversible and you don't want to lose that discussion in that case. It is precedent should they get in trouble again. I would only remove material that would be considered offensive regardless of the ban. Unless there is a really convincing argument to delete a user talk page, I don't think it has much advantages. Why did you ask? - Mgm|(talk) 22:29, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Deleting an page doesn't completely remove its contents, it just adds another part to the logs. Basically, deleting a page, means it will take up even more space than it is already. - Mgm|(talk) 05:48, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You helped choose Atom as this week's WP:ACID winner[edit]

Thank you for your support of the Article Improvement Drive.
This week Atom was selected to be improved to featured article status.
Hope you can help.

Port Adelaide Football Club[edit]

You recently reverted edits I had done on this site. You identified them as vandalism. What I was editing was irrelevent hostile rubbish submitted by Adelaide Crows supporters. They are the oposing team in Adelaide. If you do not understand the nastyness of the rubbish they continue to put on this site please leave it alone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.39.149.246 (talk) 05:13, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou for undoin what you did. The 2007 heritage round part I had deleted should not be on the site. It is taking up a lot of room for no good purpose. It was put on their just to upset Port Supporters. Also why do you think it is important to have the winning margin for the 2007 grand final on there. No other teams highlight thier misfortunes.

When considering how this site is edited if it refers to the Adelaide Crows or just Crows it is more than likely rubbish. Ports site has too much reference to the Crows.

Thankyou —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.39.149.246 (talk) 05:33, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That super annoying blue thing on the right-hand corner[edit]

I'd recommend you'd remove it. It may get you in trouble in some way. -Goodshoped 04:43, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and you said you felt the earthquake, I felt it too, but I hope it wasn't that intense as I felt it up in San Fran...
Huh, I live over at Nob Hill near Chinatown, so, yeah. And not only that, well, that's OK if you got rid of the blue thing, and I used to have it myself. I got rid of it after complaints from other users that claimed to have their browsers lagging, but, there's something called User's right, so, you could have left it on because it's your userspace, and it's whatever you want to do with it. I chose to get rid of it because it was served to be annoying to them. -Goodshoped 02:18, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And I just saw this when I was on my patrol. Seems like User:PWeeHurman's sockpuppet, but he has already been blocked. I also found this and this. This may be serious. I'm not sure what's your opinion, but we better be out on alert.-Goodshoped 02:40, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yep. I ran into him numerous times when he was trashing my page with pornographic images. But, someone else did the checkuser on him, and they now know who he is. Hint: His username usually starts with PWee or Pee, or something like that. Happy editing, and have a good evening. -Goodshoped 03:59, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, you know anything about him? Because if you do, you may want to go here. I'm holding a briefing tonight at 8. -Goodshoped 23:43, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i'm back.... for now[edit]

Hi Marlith, i noticed your recent comment on my talk page and if all goes well i should be back on a full edit level by Saturday 11/24/07. I just thought i would let you know. BTW i have firefox for WP:TW and tried friendly but it conflicted with twinkle. Thanks again for the suggestion AFUSCO 23:29, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nice Kill[edit]

You (and Jimbo Wales) have killed me. This will probably be my final edit (at least under the name of Hillexallen.) Goodbye. By the way, what have I done wrong? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hillexallen (talkcontribs) 05:11, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Joke?[edit]

Oh, it is a joke!? You never play jokes! Tell me, am I really in trouble? Jimbo Wales made a comment! Hillexallen 05:20, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RfA for Canadian Paul[edit]

Four years ago this day, a foreigner was voted by the community to serve a land that he loved. Today, a new foreigner humbly accepts the charge and support of serving a community that he loves. Hopefully, he won't disappoint.

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which passed with a vote of (47/0/1). The trust bestowed upon me by the community is one of the most touching honours that I have ever received, and I vow not to let you down. Whether you have suggestions for ways in which I could improve, a request for assistance or just need someone to listen, my talk page and my email are always open. I pledge to do what I can to help this project, in the words of a man who needs no introduction, "make the internet not suck." A special thank you goes out to Tim Vickers for nominating me. You've been loved by REDYVA[edit]

Hey there! REDYVA has loved you by placing a heart icon in the top-right corner of your userpage. Don't worry, it's not vandalism, but simply a small way to spread the WikiLove. If you don't really like it, feel free to revert it and make it go away, and no hard feelings; after all, it's just a small token of appreciation. If you like it, just add your name here, but again, there's no need to feel upset if you don't. Love and best wishes, Master Redyva (talk) 16:38, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA[edit]

Thanks for supporting my RfA. Unfortunately, my RfA closed because of WP:SNOW with the final tally of (2/10/0). Now I know that I'm not that ready, and I have this user on me, which would have nullified any chance I could have survived on Wikipedia. But thanks, and best regards, -Goodshoped 18:39, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Completed[edit]

I have completed reading the guide you sent me , thanks. I was just wondering if you could answer a few of my questions :

How can i Help out with out doing things wrong which i thought was help ? What is the barnstar thing about ? How can i build up my userpage to be like yours ?

Much thanks.

What was this about?--U.S.A.U.S.A.U.S.A. 04:10, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problems. You're right that I didn't give reason for many of my supports, and that RfA is considered to be a discussion, not a vote. I still think that I am entitled to support without giving a rationale, just like anyone else.--U.S.A.U.S.A.U.S.A. talk Email 05:07, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I guess my post would have a lot more weight if I gave a reason. Thanks for the advice, but I'll take my chances of the bureacrat giving zero to no merit.--U.S.A.U.S.A.U.S.A. Talk Email 05:12, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Crysis 2, because another editor is suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Re: the user-welcome MfDs[edit]

I've closed the bunch of user-welcome MfDs. The problem was simply that the pages were titled User: rather than User talk:, and this is easily fixed by just moving the page to correct location - there's absolutely no need to go through MfD because every user can move a page, and you can tag the resulting redirects for speedy deletion under CSD G6. I hope you bear this in mind in future. (Egh, we've just exposed four users to the Wikipedia's massive bureaucratic gearwork... =) Anyway, not a big problem and ultimately easy to fix - happy editing henceforth! --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 08:18, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
