Valeriu Ghileţchi (born July 8, 1960, Pînzăreni) is a Moldovan Baptist clergyman and politician.

Biography

Working originally as an engineer, Ghileţchi was ordained pastor in 1996 following a programme of theological studies. He served for two periods as bishop of the Union of Christian Evangelical Baptist Churches of Moldova. Valeriu Ghileţchi was the vice-president of the European Baptist Federation from 2007 to 2009 and has been the president since 2009.

He has been a member of the parliament of Moldova since April 2009.
