West Pearl Tower (Chinese: 四川广播电视塔) is a tower built of reinforced concrete located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. At 339 m (1,112.2 ft) [1] high, the West Pearl Tower is the fourth tallest tower in China. West Pearl Tower started construction in 1992, but constructions was halted later in the year due to budgeting problems. Constructions restarted in 1998 and it was completed in 2004. It was mainly built to help TV Networks across Chengdu, but since then it has expanded to become a revolving restaurant with a 360 degree view of the city and as a recreational/commercial mall for Chengdu.
