Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Law

This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Law. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Law|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Law. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

No notability and no information about the law library, as well as no references.
- del per nom. --Altenmann >talk 16:08, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- Delete Can find no source, let alone reliable. Not to be confused with National Library of Maldives which was established earlier and still seems to have references and mentions available. The extreme lack of details on article (not even an area code/coords/managing organization) makes it extremely difficult to scrounge back anything of value. Former county politician. Fails WP:GNG and WP:NPOL. Hirolovesswords (talk) 23:15, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
- Delete: Not sure this rises to the level of notability, rather limited career section. I don't see any articles about this person either, I'm not sure what's given is sufficient. Oaktree b (talk) 23:46, 22 November 2024 (UTC)

- On the Fence. Here are a few more sources: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], There is also a lot of things like this and this, this, and this, etc. where he comments on cases he is involved with. I'd like to hear others comment on these, to me this could be enough for WP:SIGCOV when considering the sources already in the article, but... it is borderline depending on how we interpret the sourcing in light of WP:NPOL and WP:NOTNEWS. There is no reliable sourcing in this article. One of many articles imported by Azerbaijani editors into English Wikipedia that just stenograph the propaganda of the authoritarian regime without any reliable sourcing. Thenightaway (talk) 18:46, 21 November 2024 (UTC)

- Comment: Just because there aren't any reliable sources on the page doesn't mean they don't exist, and isn't really an argument against notability. Per WP:BEFORE you have to check for them if you're doing an AFD. Mrfoogles (talk) 19:58, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- Weak keep: Some independent (mostly Western government or NGO) sources exist: [6], [7]. Not sure if those count as significant coverage, however. WeirdNAnnoyed (talk) 22:24, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- Those are primary sources that say nothing substantive about this government program. Thenightaway (talk) 22:30, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- Redirect to Corruption in Azerbaijan as an ATD, and because it’s basically a fork. I’m seeing a lot of poorly sourced Azeri stubs lately - there must be dozens or hundreds - some of which are duplicated or forks. Bearian (talk) 18:11, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- Federal parliamentary republic (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
Seems to be a wholly synthetic topic isolating the intersection of Federalism and Parliamentary system for no reason other than it's a phrase often found in infoboxes. There seems to be no discussion of the subject in its own right, and there do not appear to be sources from my checks either. There are likely more than a handful of other articles of this kind. Likely some should be merged somewhere, but the utility of anything seems marginal. Remsense ‥ 论 23:48, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

- Merge to Parliamentary republic. There is coverage: [8] [9] and Cheryl Saunders, "Federal Parliamentary Republics" (2021), which is apparently offline. James500 (talk) 08:49, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- Merge to Parliamentary republic (with redirect). This is a rare term with less than 150 Google Search results. Yet, these search results include the CIA, which says, without discussion, that Austria, Ethiopia, Germany, India, Iraq, Nepal, Pakistan, Somalia are federal parliamentary republics. The European Union also acknowledges that Germany, a member state, is a federal parliamentary republic. I would suggest that any information that can be reliably sourced should be sent to Parliamentary republic. Only when reliably sourced content becomes too much then we can apply WP:SPINOUT for a separate Federal parliamentary republic article. starship.paint (talk / cont) 02:52, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- Keep. Google scholar shows a large number of journal articles using this term to define the government structures of various countries. This is not a made up synthesis but a real and discussed government structure. Likewise, Federal parliamentary republic is used repeatedly in books. If a WP:BEFORE was done, it was not done competently.4meter4 (talk) 18:20, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
