[edit]Please propose Signpost stories you want to write (or have already begun writing). Submitted stories are published subject to the approval of the Editor-in-Chief, JPxG. We value the involvement of Wikipedians, and appreciate your submissions. If you have ideas or questions that don't fit neatly into this framework, don't hesitate to address us on our user talk pages, by email, or as a last resort, on the general Signpost talk page.
The Signpost's content guidelines may be useful to aspiring writers. We encourage you to contact us early in the process of developing a story. Different writers have varying levels of interest in editorial input, and we pride ourselves on finding the right balance with each writer; but in most cases, a brief discussion early on can help all parties shape our expectations, and can help produce a strong finished piece. We aim to support Wikimedians wishing to share news with their peers, and look forward to working with you.
Filipino girl group Bini goes to Wikipedia
[edit]- Submission: User:Royiswariii/Signpost Opinion1
- Column: Opinion
- Author: Royiswariii
- Discussion:
This is my first opinion here on The SignPost, I wrote this to express my feelings how they are recognizable now, this includes on being number 1 most popular Wikipedia article in Filipino musicians in 2024. I added who they are, how they formed, the rising of girl group, controversy and my final thoughts or my "real" commentary. Royiswariii Talk! 05:24, 27 December 2024 (UTC)

Untitled comic
[edit]- Submission: User:NuclearSpuds/Lab/Bite
- Column: Comix
- Author: NuclearSpuds
- Discussion:
Here’s another comic. I found the image on commons and couldn’t not do something with it. I’m open to titles; I was thinking something along the lines of WP:BITE. 📻NuclearSpuds🎙️ 19:55, 28 May 2025 (UTC)

Koavf Indefinite Ban
[edit]- Submission: User:Vinizex94/Signpost Letter1
- Column: News
- Author: Vinizex94
- Discussion:
Justin Knapp, known by his username Koavf and recognized as the first editor to reach 1 million edits on English Wikipedia, is currently serving an indefinite ban from editing as of July 2025. The block follows a history of multiple sanctions due to persistent disruptive and combative behavior. This submission is provided for coverage in the Signpost News column. This is my first letter here in the Signpost. Sure hope that it'll make the cut. Vinizex94🌍 15:07, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for your contribution! This does seem like potentially noteworthy information. However, this ban already dates from July 2024 (not 2025), i.e. over a year ago, so it does not quite appear to be in scope for the Signpost at this point (see also the content guidance page). Regards, HaeB (talk) 06:37, 20 August 2025 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks for considering the letter. Vinizex94🌍 12:26, 20 August 2025 (UTC)
Some disputes aren't worth it
[edit]- Submission: User:Theleekycauldron/Some disputes aren't worth it
- Column: Essays
- Author: Theleekycauldron
- Discussion:
This essay is about the tendency of Wikipedians to waste a lot of time and energy on resolving questions that don't really matter to readers, sometimes with explosive results like the loss of experienced editors. Before you participate in a dispute, you should think about whether the readers actually have a stake in the result, or if it's just minutia or debate for the sake of debate. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 04:05, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Theleekycauldron: Great -- queued for next issue. jp×g🗯️ 01:08, 2 October 2025 (UTC)
New comic
[edit]- Submission: User:NuclearSpuds/Lab/Notability
- Column: Comix

Woke in a cold sweat and had to return to Wikipedia to drop these comics that were sitting in my user pages. 📻NuclearSpuds🎙️ 10:59, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
Done Formatted as a draft and staged, thanks. jp×g🗯️ 01:39, 10 November 2025 (UTC)

- Hi JPxG, thanks for picking up my submissions. Do you know what’s happened to this one? It shows a dead link. 📻NuclearSpuds🎙️ 21:48, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
We say Wikipedia isn't a battleground. So why does it feel like one?

- Discussion:
This is my opinion, and I really wouldn't be surprised if some people don't share it.
