Yuka Miyazaki (宮崎 由加, Miyazaki Yuka, born 2 April 1994, in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan)[1] is a Japanese pop singer. She is the leader of the Hello! Project group Juice=Juice.[4] Her official nickname is Yukanya (ゆかにゃ). Her fruit in the group is the peach.
Miyazaki won the "Encouragement/Samantha Thavasa Award" in the 2nd Forest Award New Face Audition in March 2012.[5] During the audition she played a piano cover of Ai Otsuka's "Planetarium".[6] After winning the award Miyazaki received lessons in Tokyo every two weeks, and heard that she will debut on May.[6]
In October 2012 she participated on the planning of the television series Hello! Satoyama Life. Miyazaki debuted as a member of the "Satoyama movement" group Green Fields.[7] The group had performed at Morning Musume's concert on the 28 of the same month.[8] This was Miyazaki's first stage performance.[9]
It was announced that she and five Hello Pro Kenshusei members are members of a new group on the 3 February 2013,[10][a] later on the 25 of the same month the group's name was revealed as Juice=Juice.[3] Miyazaki is the oldest member of the group.[11]
On the 13 June 2013 she became the leader of Juice=Juice.[11]
