The show became such a huge success that it was aired again on public demand by Zindagi from August 2014 to September 2014. The popularity of the show and his character Zaroon made Fawad Khan a household name in India.

Plot Summary

The story revolves around the lives of Kashaf Murtaza (Sanam Saeed) and Zaroon Junaid (Fawad Afzal Khan), who are poles apart. Kashaf, a very sensible and matured girl, comes from a middle-class family background and lives with her mother Rafia (Samina Peerzada) and her two sisters, Sidra (Mansha Pasha) and Shehnila (Sana Sarfaraz). Rafia had separated from her husband, Murtaza, (Waseem Abbas) because she didn't fulfill his desire of having a son. As a result, he married another woman, who did eventually give birth to his son.

Rafia works as the principal of a government school and also gives tuitions to children during the evenings. Kashaf, her eldest daughter, gets chance in a well-known university, where she eventually meets Zaroon, who happens to come from a very rich family. However, they don't get along well with each other. Zaroon's jealosy for Kashaf emerges from the fact that Kashaf had superseded him in studies. Zaroon, in his school days, had always remained the best. As a result of his envy he ends up having arguments and fights with her. However, later Zaroon's tries to patch up with her but his attempts are repeatedly turned down.

Zaroon's family consists of his laid-back and patient father; an independent, but workaholic and somewhat arrogant mother-who doesn't give much time to her family -and his sister Sara (Ayesha Omar), who is just like her mother.

Zaroon's circle of friends consists of Asmara (Mehreen Raheel) and Osama (Shehryar Munawar Siddiqui). He remains unaware of the fact that Asmara is in love with him. They end up getting engaged but due to irreconcilable differences they break off the engagement. He shows disapproval of Asmara's lifestyle but she stubborn refuses to compromise. Zaroon states many times that his ideal wife would have qualities found in Kashaf.

One year later, Zaroon and Kashaf meet once again in a professional circle due to their jobs. Once again, Zaroon's attempts at friendship are repeatedly turned down, as Kashaf believes him to be the same flirtatious and irresponsible person as before. On the other hand, Osama, who had been the only good male friend of Kashaf from the university, proposes to Kashaf, who in turn rejects him, as she doesn't want to complicate her life by getting married.

Later Zaroon talks to Sir Abrar, who is Kashaf's and his former university professor. Sir Abrar was also a mentor to Kashaf and Zaroon's close family friend. Zaroon confesses to him that he wants to marry Kashaf and asks him to talk to Kashaf regarding this. After finding out about this, Kashaf is furious with Zaroon, thinking that his proposal is not sincere. The two meet at Sir Abrar's house, where they have a heart to heart conversation. There Zaroon saves Kashaf from getting burnt by hot tea which got spilled. Kashaf realises that he is good hearted and does care for her. She finally accepts his proposal and they get engaged. After the engagement Zaroon also establishes good rapport with Kashaf's family.

Zaroon and Kashaf eventually start living together very happily. Later Zaroon and Kashaf have a fight as he comes to know about Osama's proposal while Kashaf discovers that Zaroon is in touch with Asmara. She leaves his house and returns to her mothers home. This feud lasts a few months during which Kashaf realises that she is pregnant. She starts missing Zaroon and later dreams that Zaroon has divorced her. She realises that she is really in love with Zaroon and yearns to go back to him. Rafia also tries to make her realise this and the same night she calls up Zaroon. And when Zaroon gets to know that he is going to be a father he becomes very happy. Thus, their feud finally ends and they realise their love for each other. Kashaf goes back with Zaroon to his house and resumes their married life.

Few months later Kashaf gives birth to twin girls, which fills their married life with much more excitement and love. Thus, they start living their married life with a new reason.[9]
