Approximately 20,000 non-automated edits + creation tens of articles over 7 years on Wikipedia, few of which have been deleted; since I'm not a prolific article creator, I don't NEED the autopatrolled right but I think I've proven to be a responsible article creator Pseudo-Richard (talk) 18:06, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I gave up the bit voluntarily over a year ago upon request regarding issues regarding copyright violations. Here is a link to the discussion. There have been no copyvio issues since then but I have not requested the admin bit back because I figure the further back in history those transgressions lie, the better chance I have of getting it back. --Pseudo-Richard (talk) 05:40, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I believe Richard is operating in all good faith, but unfortunately did create quite a problem with copyright issues which (due to our dreadful backlog) is still some ways from being sorted. The question is whether he has a full understanding of Wikipedia's approach to copyright now. If so, then I would certainly enthusiastically support his getting autopatrolled right. I'd be happy to conduct a random review, but since I have limited volunteer time on Wikipedia wouldn't be able to get to it until this weekend. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:11, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sadly, I must report that I performed a random check and I found problems. The very first page I came to was Paul_Cuffee_(missionary) created 9 March 2011. The 2nd sentence comes form this website dated 19 Oct 2009. The 3rd and fourth sentence come from this website dated 2 November 2010. The last sentence comes from this website dated 17 Jan 2011. These are identical copies from these websites (Last sentence has 1 minor change of 'He' to 'Cuffee'). Please use the linked diff to compare. This is the second time that I am requesting this feature. I was told that only 7 created articles was insufficient to warrant Autopatrol rights. Since then, I have created 9 new articles with several more under construction in my sandbox(s). Well I wasn't aware of many policies including copyrights in Wikipedia at that time. I started editing Wikipedia on 28 March 2010, but started to edit seriously from March 2011 in which I made 3000 plus edits (constructive) during the period.
