Would you be opposed to adding a picture of Carlin on the userbox? CTJF83 chat 20:54, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

No, by all means. If you've got a Wiki-suitable picture, go for it. -- Chickenmonkey X  sign?  21:02, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
I figured File:Jesus is coming.. Look Busy (George Carlin).jpg from his page. *sigh* Too bad he didn't have more HBO specials and books :( CTJF83 chat 20:17, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
What do you think? Too much black? CTJF83 chat 20:20, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Looks great to me. I'm not certain on the WP:FU for an image's use in a userbox, but I like it if it complies. -- Chickenmonkey X  sign?  22:57, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
The picture is actually free, so it's good to go. CTJF83 chat 03:37, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Sig

Hi. Please reduce the size of your signature's code. It currently takes up 11 lines in the editbox! See WP:SIG#Length and WP:SIG#NoTemplates for the guideline, which forbids using templates to get around the 255 character limit, and explains why. Much thanks.-- Quiddity (talk) 20:45, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

My apologies. I wasn't aware of the guideline. Chickenmonkey (talk) 20:49, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
While we're on the topic, I must say your sig as it appears today is cool, distinctive. I like it. --LegitimateAndEvenCompelling (talk) 02:08, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
Thanks!  Chickenmonkey  02:12, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Your current sig, just above, is acceptable, although I often rain on coloured and boxy sigs. And I occasionally paste code in for lulz (so I guess I will here;). You can tidy your sig by 6 bytes as I'm doing in this edit to the copy just above (#F83). This is a CSS shorthand that does not fly with the deprecated font-tag. Where's an example of the 11 lines sig (and how narrow was the window that was seen in;)?

Sincerely, Street-Legal Sockpuppet Jack Merridewthis user is a sock puppet 02:27, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

duh
I scrolled up and found it. You must know the shorthand, too. 'twas a tad long for regular use ;) Cheers, Jack Merridew 02:29, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
I basically wrote the previous signature once and just copy/pasted it. Now, I just use "~~~~" for the current one.  Chickenmonkey  04:33, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Sherlock Holmes review thingy

Been meaning to thank you for contributing to that and finding a nice compromise. I was really frustrated and I'm fairly certain I'd already inadvertently exacerbated the situation before I was able to get the conversation going on the talk page. So yeah, thanks. =) Millahnna (mouse)talk 05:00, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

Not a problem. It was fun.  Chickenmonkey  05:05, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

sortable filmographies

If filmographies are marked-up as tables, why should they not be sortable? The biggest issue would seem to be the rowspan'ing of the year column. There's also:

which is misbehaving due to the odd header cell arrangement; they're semantic mush.

Cheers, Jack Merridew 05:19, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

In order to have the tables be sortable, rowspan cannot be used. Truly, repeatedly inserting years -- foregoing rowspan -- would actually make the tables easier to maintain (and thus, sortable), but I'm not sure if that would fly with anyone, really.
I'm not sure what you're asking/telling/discussing with me, though, as you seem to know this.  Chickenmonkey  05:31, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
I just did another:
I tried this on the Cukor page because I was doing other edits and noticed that the table had all the years and no rowspans, and thus I knew it would work. On Bullock, I had to fix the years. Rhys Meyers runs all amok because the structure of the table headers was done for appearance, not semantics.
I brought this to you because I figured you'd get it, including the fact that rowspan is confusing folks quite regularly. That practice should be deprecated regardless of sortability. Cheers, Jack Merridew 05:49, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
I'm definitely in favor of phasing out rowspan because it does make the tables easier for anyone to edit. That said, I'm not sure what consensus on the matter would be. I've just been editing tables based on my perception of what is expected.  Chickenmonkey  06:03, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Nice tweaks

Farands1

I am quite worried about this SPA inserting POV, through minor restructuring of words and phrases. Keep an eye out. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 07:07, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

There are some things to watch out for. The editor did make some quality edits, though.  Chickenmonkey  08:36, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Ordered up a DK forthe group...

I ordered up a DYK acknowledging everyone who worked so hard to bring this one up to speed in such quick time: See the nomination's entry. My worry is in User:Farands1 (COI problem) re-inserting that opening sentence twice now without a citation. We don't need an uncited broad claim in something headed for DYK. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 07:18, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Interesting!  Chickenmonkey  08:36, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
The current article text uses text containing the phrase "gay pop-culture". THAT we can use because it is properly attributed. The reinsertion of the uncited material makes it appear POV. He cites it and it can stay. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 01:19, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks for your comments at WT:V about whether Wikipedia's definition of "self-published" does, or should, match the dictionary definition, or if those two admins should keep making up (and changing) their own definitions. WhatamIdoing (talk) 00:14, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

It just seems clear-cut, to me. Just reading WP:V, I wouldn't think it needs to be changed. It says pretty clearly that some self-published sources are reliable, but apparently some editors are reading that as "no" self-published sources are reliable. It's confounding. (That's not to mention the confusing redefining of "self-published")  Chickenmonkey  00:18, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
I don't think that the 'policy' part needs to be changed: I believe that once we've figured out whether or not a source is self-published, we've got just the right balance.
But since we have two admins(!) who are ludicrously asserting that the dictionary definition doesn't apply, and that their personal definitions (documented nowhere) do, then I think we need to address this. Additionally, this started because SlimVirgin asserted over at WP:Notability that not all self-published sources (dictionary definition) are actually self-published sources (her strange Wikipedia definition), and accepting her definition would actually mean that a corporate press release is verifiable evidence of the company's notability under the WP:GNG, which is absolutely unacceptable to me. WhatamIdoing (talk) 01:39, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
WP:GNG explicitly excludes press releases. Any company can release a press release, which inherently makes it a self-published publication. That seems pretty obvious (apparently not...), but this whole thing is giving me a headache.  Chickenmonkey  01:55, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

In a word, no. There is consensus for the use of that template, the article passed GA with that view and Jack's pointy edits to remove the consensus based templates make the table sortable is in no way according to consensus. Jack is being tendentious about it and it's been reported in the AN/I complaint. Wildhartlivie (talk) 08:06, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

It's been there for a few weeks and I left it alone. When I was gathering evidence about his editing practices and stalking me for AN/I, I noticed it was still like that. Why would you think he wouldn't do everything he can to harass me? Of course he would, it's just more for AN/I. Wildhartlivie (talk) 08:14, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Actually, believe it or not, I can go lengthy periods of time without even thinking of Jack Merridew. I don't think I'm nearly as obsessed, except for the poor treatment I get at his hands. Imagine being on the receiving end of that. That is tiresome. Going through contributions pages and histories and working on evidence is extremely difficult for me, as he knows, due to my vision disabilities and problems with tracking. The stress of it is even more bother, since it raises my blood pressure and makes my retinas bleed. That's why I had to stop for the night. I spent all day working on a parole hearing protest for the guy who murdered my goddaughter 25 years ago only to get home and find a score of emails about getting together the evidence. I actually appreciate your words about my editing. Thanks. Wildhartlivie (talk) 08:31, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. You think 25 years is long enough that the pain doesn't flare up, but that's not true. I stopped thinking about the guy who did it, until I ran a google search on her name, which I do occasionally and there was his parole hearing notice at the very top. 25 years isn't nearly long enough, and it is the first time he's up for parole on a 25 year to life sentence. Too soon. As for Jack, it's sort of like a quote from Cold Mountain: "They call this war a cloud over the land. But they made the weather and then they stand in the rain and say 'Shit, it's raining'." I really need for administrators to take notice of how he treats me, it's not civil, and I would truly like it to stop. I don't want to run my watchlist and see that Jack's said something else. Except for maybe a two week period where we sort of had a truce, it's been incessant since he first ran across me. If they would do something about it, I could stop saying 'it's raining'. But it hasn't happened and the comments continue. I know it's tiresome, but then again, be on the receiving end of it. Wildhartlivie (talk) 08:58, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Well, to me, it's much more insidious than most anyone on the side knows. I just want it to stop. If it can't or won't, I'll likely withdraw a bit. It's stressful to be on my end, and I think those in my "clique", or whatever it is that Jack calls it - a meaningless few supporters maybe? - pay enough attention to notice. I want it to end. Right now, I'm so sure it will without support from admins. Thanks for talking. Wildhartlivie (talk) 09:19, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Civil discussion is a nice thing and that's where most of my "supporters" have come from. I'm closest friends with Rossrs, even though he's 1/2 a world away.
I wasn't all that fond of Cold Mountain either. I found Nicole Kidman to be just a bit too whiny for my taste. I did like Renee Zellweger in it though. They keep playing that quote on the broadcast film channel I get and it sticks in my mind. I loved The Notebook. Nights in Rodanthe is on my Netflix list, but it hasn't come to the top yet. I've just been approved for my SS disability and I've not gotten around to re-establishing my cable yet (nor will I until I get accepted at the housing apartments for those with disabilities, it seems pointless for a month or two. I rely on Netflix and I'm grateful. I don't go to the theatre often, mostly because of the vision thing, but also the cost. Netflix makes me happy. I just saw the Tim Burton version of Alice in Wonderland over the weekend. I love me some Johnny Depp. :) Wildhartlivie (talk) 09:41, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

It is a small world. Johnny Depp doesn't know it, but he supported me for almost a year. I've a friend who is a reputable autograph dealer who goes to events and gets autographs. Back during the Pirates of the Caribbean days, he sold me (cheaply) a rather large number of Pirates signed photos. I sold them on eBay for a huge profit and it got me through most of 2006. I gotta love the guy. I have only ever seen one film of his that I didn't like - From Hell. It was too too for me. I like Richard Gere well enough, and I adore Diane Lane. I'm looking forward to seeing it. Netflix is a cheap handy way to keep up with new releases and it comes right to my door. I should be getting The Lovely Bones in the mail today. Wildhartlivie (talk) 10:13, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

Ack. The Lovely Bones didn't get here today, it should be here tomorrow. I like Stanley Tucci, too and it was nice to see him getting some recognition. I know the plot and I'm really looking forward to seeing it. Oh, and btw, thanks. Wildhartlivie (talk) 04:20, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

The Lovely Bones arrived yesterday and I watched all the way through the first time in tears. The acting was wonderful, but honestly, Saoirse Ronan broke my heart. She looks enough like my goddaughter to wrench my heart. From the nose on up, this could have been my goddaughter. Sunshine's hair was never that long, but it was much more blondish but she had those same eyes - curiously shaped and the same bright blue. They even crinkled up when she laughed the same way. I wrote her mother to advise her to take a pass on that film. I barely stood it and I don't think she can. Sunshine was 3 years younger than the girl in the film, but they could be sisters at least. The main difference here is that thankfully we know what happened to her and we were given something to mourn over, I guess you'd say, and the girl in the film was gone forever. We've often said that we were grateful that we found her and we knew what happened to her. Stanley Tucci was phenomenal, but with that wig, he had a tendency to look a tad bit like Judd Nelson. Now that isn't a bad thing, but it was a bit disconcerting. I would give it a 3.5/5. It would be a 4, but I was shaken by it. Wildhartlivie (talk) 07:35, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

FYI

Hi, I think it's only fair that you know that Wildhartlivie has retired from the project. I am still considering the same course of action. I appreciate your kind comments at my talk page but that being said, harrassment, stalking and bad behavior caused her to leave, not by you. I find it quite disturbing that editors can state that is their plan and then they excute a really good editor in this manner. So right now the count is 2 editors retiring from the project under the same kind of a reasons. Anyways, I just wanted you to know in case you didn't notice since the RFC was something Wildhartlivie was very active in. Thanks, --CrohnieGalTalk 14:09, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I noticed. It's unfortunate she felt she needed to do that. Hopefully, she'll change her mind, at some point. Honestly, and I hope you don't take this the wrong way because it's not meant in the wrong way, but I don't take Wikipedia quite as seriously as I've noticed some people do. For instance, Jack Merridew has "followed" me numerous times, editing an article immediately after I did. It doesn't bother me. I don't really see it as stalking, and it isn't. I can see how it could be frustrating in how he chose to go about it, in regards to her. I just think everyone needs to not take everything so seriously. I mean, I want to improve Wikipedia, but when I get frustrated, I go do something else for a while. I'm pretty burned out on the RFC right now, and that may be a good thing. I don't plan to comment on it any time in the near future because I'm just tired of it. I'll let others, with fresh eyes, hash it out; then, if it's still ongoing once I do want to comment, I'll comment. If it ends before I want to comment, I guess I'll go with whatever the others decide.
Also, I'm not an admin or any such like person, but I looked through the page of evidence Wildhartlivie compiled on Jack Merridew and much of it was either misunderstandings or overreactions (ex. I remember one comment where Jack Merridew had misread two comments as one, Wildhartlivie pointed that out to him, he said something to the effect of "that's one point to WHL for that, but none for the rest of it" or something similar and Wildhartlivie misunderstood that to be him saying it was her fault he misread the two comments: misunderstandings happen to everyone, all the time). It's those types of situations that made me think the two of them should just avoid each other altogether, at least for some significant amount of time. It's unfortunate, but maybe her retirement -- while hopefully short lived -- will allow for that amount of time to pass.
I sincerely hope you don't decide, too, to leave Wikipedia.  Chickenmonkey  19:35, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
When an editor, any editor, can't come to this project without constantly being attacked, there's a problem. I agree that maybe some of it was misunderstandings or lack of proper communications but telling an editor things like what was said at Rossrs talk page and other places is totally unacceptable behavior. I haven't decided yet what I'm going to do. I guess it depends on what happens now. Thank you though for you nice words to me. It's really appreciated. --CrohnieGalTalk 20:46, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but I don't see what Jack Merridew did as attacking her (I'm almost completely unfamiliar with Chowbok; so, there may be something there I'm not privy to), at Rossrs talk page, or anywhere else I've seen. I hope she comes back and I hope you don't leave. Wikipedia is a hobby to me; I treat it as such: nothing more, nothing less.  Chickenmonkey  21:29, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
I just want to pop in to say thanks for stepping in here for me. I really appreciate it because I did take it the way you thought I would, as rude. Thank you, I will not be commenting any further there. --CrohnieGalTalk 12:50, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Mel Gibson article

Hi, I just want you to know that you are doing a wonderful job at getting the references into this article. I think editors should hear about things when they are doing good work and you are doing good work for this article. Now if we could all just figure out what to do with the 'allegation of' sections, we could really make some big process. I refuse to get involved in it right now with the reverting going on. Not up to it today. I spent a lot of time looking for reliable sources about the allegations and there just wasn't any as of yesterday at least. There is one about the restraining order about Gibson being allowed to see his daughter but too lazy right now to dig it back up. I was going to put it in yesterday but RL came calling on me and I then forgot about it though my soup turned out great. :) Keep up the good work. --CrohnieGalTalk 12:30, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. I've been avoiding the allegations sections, because they're going to be difficult to iron out. The things I did were relatively easy.  Chickenmonkey  20:07, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Mel Gibson and Sources

I did contain both tmz.com and radaronline.com in the references I posted, as well as Howard Stern. RadarOnline.com additionally is the site that released the Gibson tapes in the first place. I am the first person to admit that it takes a bit of a change in perspective in one's thinking to consider any of these sites as serious news sources, but within the limited (and in my view silly) world of entertainment reporting these sites, along with a few others, are the standard for breaking and reporting news. TMZ had Michael Jackson's death cold 30 minutes before any other source reported it, and RadarOnline.com (which was started by the retired editor of the National Enquirer) are considered sources of record within the entertainment beat, including by the major networks and cable news networks that use them regularly as sources for entertainment (but certainly not for anything else, God help us all). This story was also reported by The Howard Stern Show's (and I use this term loosely) News Department and was discussed at length on their 20 July broadcast, which I also mentioned. Themoodyblue (talk) 05:02, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Honestly, I'm not sure about the reliability of either tmz.com or radaronline.com. They've been correct before, but they also do a lot of erroneous reporting. You did reference tmz.com and radaronline.com in your edit, but you didn't provide any links to either of them (or Howard Stern). For example, I could say tmz.com reported that *random celebrity* had a sex change operation. If I don't cite the source (WP:CITE), how can I prove they actually did report the story? In most articles here on Wikipedia, good faith edits such as yours can be left in an article temporarily and hopefully someone else will come along and cite the source; however, on biographies of living people we must cite sources. Your edit also mentioned that the information "remain[s] in the realm of the gossip publications, with no official statements being made by any of the principle parties involved in the relationship." If that is the case, we certainly can't include that information in a biography of a living person.  Chickenmonkey  05:19, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Rajesh khanna article .

Informations which u can add in ur own words

http://www.screenindia.com/news/the-original-superstar-rajesh-khanna/327356/ u didnt get me. i know u r not aware of hindi films but what iam saying is as a layman and an frequent user who knows about wikipedia rules what i want is for u to improve the article about Khanna in following ways I hve sent the link from which you can add details like the following which iam copy pasting( off course the sentences have to be changed and wordings too). 1)There were so many words that were spelt as “Rajesh Khanna” then: “Magic” for one. “Charisma” for another. Here’s a look at Hindi cinema’s first Superstar, a man for the term “Phenomenon” was coined It was somewhere in early 1967 that two films called Raaz and Aakhri Khat were released. They were made by top filmmakers of the time - G.P.Sippy and Chetan Anand respectively - but nosedived at the b-o. 2)Someone said that the common-to-both hero was a man called Rajesh Khanna, and that the films were a part of his predetermined prize for winning the All-India United Producers’ Talent Competition. Write-ups spoke of an actor who was confidence personified. 3)The big name heroes ruled, and two more big names, S.S.Vasan of Gemini (Aurat) and Nasir Husain (Baharon Ke Sapne) made also-ran films with him. With the latter, the actor struck up an enduring friendship with Nasir’s composer, R.D.Burman. 4) The actor, who had come to Mumbai with the backing of rather apprehensive parents and rudimentary theatrical experience, struggled in his own car - a first again. And wonder of wonders, despite flops, he had been signed by biggies Shakti Samanta, Raj Khosla, Asit Sen and A.Subba Rao. 5)Do Raaste, Ittefaq, Doli, Bandhan, Saccha Jhutha (one of his most understated and underrated performances), Safar, Aan Milo Sajana, the cult Haathi Mere Saathi and Andaz, the once-in-a-lifetime Anand, Kati Patang, Maryada, Dushmun, Amar Prem, Daag, Anuraag, Namak Haram (despite the subtle post-Zanjeer change in the Rajesh Khanna-Amitabh Bachchan equation), Roti (a home production), Premnagar, Aap Ki Kasam, Ajnabee and Prem Kahani - Khanna packed a stunning box-office punch of 22 more jubilee hits! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shrik88music (talkShrik88music (talk) 19:07, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Quotes by actress Mumtaz and music director lp

Quotes by actress Mumtaz and music director Pyarelal about Khanna

Mumtaz 'We were a lucky pair!' “Rajesh Khanna was a star who made a lot of difference to my career. In seven years from Do Raaste to Prem Kahani we starred in eight major hits but no flops! Show me a single lead pair with this record - even Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol have done only five hits. “Yes, we were considered a very lucky pair. Rajesh Khanna was a good and very professional co-star but not very outgoing. He was always very reserved and had few friends. He would usually report late on the sets, but he would never leave without completing his work. “We first shot for Do Raaste and Bandhan. Both films were being made simultaneously, and he was a struggling hero. But after they were released he became a superstar, a Phenomenon as he was known. I think no one has seen the success the guy has seen, with a line of cars of his producers and hysterical fans outside his bungalow every day. He would be very generous with his associates, and would party a lot. As an actor, he was very good, and I particularly want to mention his performances in Aradhana, Anand, Dushmun and Roti. I was always secure with Rajesh Khanna. Nobody could replace me. Though Sharmila did give a couple of hits with him, it didn’t really bother me. No actress, not even Sharmila could threaten me. When I gave up films, Rajesh and I were the topmost pair. He felt very lost when I quit films." I was no patch on Rajesh Khanna. He was a phenomenon and I was like her chamchi," giggles Mumtaz. "I teased him a lot and he always called me moti, as I was generally on the plump side. I attended his weeding too. After his marriage, I got married. At that time, I was doing Aap ki Kasam, Roti and Prem Kahani. I completed these films and then got married. I didn’t leave any of my producers in lurch." my friendship with Rajesh Khanna was also misunderstood. He was my neighbour and we got along very well. I would pull his leg and tease him about his fan following. Whenever Rajesh entered a hotel in Madras, there was a queue of 600 girls waiting to see him at midnight! As a result, even I would get some importance, as people would ask for my autograph as well," laughs Mumtaz. --from http://www.angelfire.com/celeb/mumtaz/memories.html

Pyarelal Incidentally, he had a stake in Mehboob Ki Mehndi too. He had great interest in music and a terrific sense of melody too. His music is dominated by Pancham (R.D.Burman) and us .When we went on our first overseas concert tour in 1984, he came and danced to three songs. He was very particular about his music and would take a tape home if he could not assess a song. He would then give his feedback after a day or two. But if he liked a song at the sitting, he would loudly shout “Wah! Wah!” in appreciation. After he heard the mukhda of Mere dil mein aaj kya hai from Daag he stopped us from making him listen to the first antara and told Yash (Chopra)ji that it would be a hit! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shrik88music (talkcontribs) 18:57, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Rajesh khanna filmography

I have created a seperate page Rajesh Khanna Filmography. iam not aware as to how it should be edited that there would be 6 columns Year,Film,Role,Actress,Director,Other Notes. i wil ,by myself manage to fill up all details ,if u dont have time but just create that page with those 6 columns atleast. if you would be able to fill up the 3columns actresses, year, role with help of the already created filmography by me at present it would be great. gradually i will fill the other 3 columns roles, other notes,directorShrik88music (talk) 19:32, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

Hello, Chickenmonkey, and thanks for your work tidying up my attempt at a table on Rajesh Khanna Filmography‎. Much appreciated. I removed your unreferenced tag after inserting three links. Best regards — Hebrides (talk) 05:57, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
No problem.  Chickenmonkey  17:54, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

thanks .... the films released in same year should be bracketed upon simultaneously..... like in this artilce http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rajinikanth_filmography..

Actually, repeating the years, as the table currently does, allows for sorting. Combining them causes that to not work.  Chickenmonkey  17:54, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

1) Vijay - Winner All The Way (2010) (Under Production),6 December (2010) (Under Production),Tum Mere Ho (2010) (Under Production) ,Ram Tere Kitne Naam (February 15, 1985) (Released) ...... Himself (A Scene From A Movie) -- do add these movies in the page....i got it from http://www.bollywoodhungama.com/celebrities/filmography/10412/index.html 2)i think in notes for time being besides the film name -- the award won by khanna and the nominations he got for the film can be added taking help from the article as put by me in wikipedia.. 3)one more column named "Name of Character"/"Role" needs to be added next to the film column..Shrik88music (talk) 18:06, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

When I edited the table, I was working from the bulleted list. I was not aware the names listed were of Actresses; I assumed they were the names of Khanna's roles. I'm not very familiar with Bollywood; is there a reason the actresses should be named?  Chickenmonkey  18:10, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

1)http://www.panchamonline.com/ -this link should also be provided as external link as this link shows names of films like dushman dost, police ke peeche peeche etc. 2)actress name is a must as khannas pairing with particular actresses were very famous so do not delet the coloumn instead add columns--- roles(character name),director. 3)i think in notes for time being besides the film name -- the award won by khanna and the nominations he got for the film can be added taking help from the article as put by me in wikipedia.. 4)Vijay - Winner All The Way (2010) (Under Production),6 December (2010) (Under Production),Tum Mere Ho (2010) (Under Production) ,Ram Tere Kitne Naam (February 15, 1985) (Released) ...... Himself (A Scene From A Movie) -- do add these movies in the page....i got it from http://www.bollywoodhungama.com/celebrities/filmography/10412/index.html 5) why did u change it in lower case ...it was nice to look at and even read at...ie Rajesh Khanna Filmography...i think Capital F would be better 6) why in filmographies category --- the page created by us is appearing under K ...it should appear under R Shrik88music (talk) 18:34, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

1) I'm not sure about that link's reliability. 2) I will add the "Role" column; you can populate it. I don't think the "Actress" column should remain, but I'll leave it. 3) Perhaps someone at the Indian cinema task force can help you with that. 4) This, too, would be best to ask about at the Indian cinema task force. 5) I changed it to lowercase because that is Wikipedia's policy on article titles. 6) I'll change that.  Chickenmonkey  18:53, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

1)thanks for putting it under R category.2) the films where he has 2 or 3 actresses opposite him ,it should be mentioned with commas and letter "and" otherwise its injustice to the actresses and the film lovers so mention their names.3)Aan milo sajna was directed by Mukul Dutt4)also do write in notes besides the film name -- the award won by khanna and the nominations he got for the film can be added taking help from the article as put by me in wikipedia..5) ya will fill up the role coloumn later on Shrik88music (talk) 13:50, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

I am going to refer you to this list of the Indian cinema task force participants. I am sure one of them will be able to help you much better than I can, because they are likely familiar with the subject matter.  Chickenmonkey  19:02, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Nope, no offense taken.  Chickenmonkey  18:38, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

I posted her new fragrance Wonderstruck on the page but I'm not sure it's in the right place and that I didn't post enough information about it if someone could check on that and see what more needs to be added or if it needs to be moved elsewhere that'd be great. I made sure to reference in the announcement posted on her official site as well. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 08:02, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

It's posted under the Merchandise section. I keep forgetting to mention that lol! JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 08:03, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
I copyedited it, but otherwise I think it's a good addition to the article.  Chickenmonkey  08:15, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
Thanks! I went ahead and readd the wikilink to Elizabeth Arden if that's okay. I made sure to check the page and it's the right article. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 08:33, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
Oh, I see. I hadn't realized "Elizabeth Arden" is the name of the company. I had noticed Elizabeth Arden was an article about a deceased person and assumed it was a different Elizabeth Arden. I've redirected the link to the section within that article that deals with Elizabeth Arden, the company. Good catch.  Chickenmonkey  08:44, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. And thank you for fixing that. I didn't think to actually link it to the section. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 08:52, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
No problem.  Chickenmonkey  08:54, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
^_^. It was a complete accident that I found out about that fragrance. I was just bored and checking her main site when I happen to come across it and I of course came to the page to see if it had been added yet and when I noticed it hadn't I figured it should, especially seeing as her work with L.E.I was mentioned. I'm surprised there's no section on there about the individual dolls released by her. I see it was mentioned but nothing major was done about it. Oh well... Category:Wikipedians who like Taylor Swift

You're quite welcome JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 10:37, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Can I ask a favor?

Can you check out the following pages and make sure the adds I did are okay? You're Not Sorry Taylor Swift (album). I added the Deluxe edition cover on the Taylor Swift one and with "You're Not Sorry" I added a 30 second sample of the Remix and the information and cover of the remix single release. I think that's it other then the images I added for the Hannah Montana Karaokes of Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana 3 if you could check them out that'd be great! JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 09:43, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

Honestly, I'm not extremely knowledgeable on the policies governing images/files and their copyright issues. To me, your edits seem to be fine. If there is anything wrong with them, though, someone more knowledgeable in this area will notice and let you know. They do look like good edits, to me, however.  Chickenmonkey  10:08, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. I don't think the should be since they are used as they are suppose to be used. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 05:47, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
Can you check this and see if it looks okay? It got completely removed so I went and added it on the page as a separate section adding in information that is pretty obviously including if you ever watched the episode "Turn, Turn, Turn" clips of the remix were indeed used in the episode and if you wanna comment on what I said on the talk page that's cool too. Here it is: You're Not Sorry (CSI Remix). JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 06:53, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
You wanna hear the sad thing. I check the history page the person who removed it didn't even give a reason for it they just went and did it. Isn't that how edit wars start? JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 07:16, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
I'm sure the editor had a reason for their edit. Hopefully, you and that editor can have a fruitful discussion. In the future, I'd advise against copy/pasting others users' comments where they weren't initially posted: you did here . If you would like to reference a conversation, just link to where the conversation took place.  Chickenmonkey  07:28, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
Sorry I've done that before and no one's said anything to me before about that. I hope you're not mad. It wasn't intentional. No one's ever said anything to me about that before. My bad. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 08:15, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
No, I'm not mad; it's just something that confuses the conversation and alters the context of comments. It's best to not do that. If you do, it's best to make it very clear that you're quoting a conversation from another location.  Chickenmonkey  08:26, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
I actually didn't know you could do it how you did it. I'm still kinda new to this. I mean I just recently started getting the Userboxes on my main page and figuring them out. You learn something new everyday. LOL! JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 08:34, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
It's alright. We're all learning as we go.  Chickenmonkey  08:53, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
That's for certian. Hey ever considered adding an archive box? You're page is getting pretty long here lol! JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 08:59, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I'll archive it, soon.  Chickenmonkey  09:03, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
That'd probably be a good idea. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 09:14, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

This article

Swift and her keepers have been careful to nurture her original country base, perhaps mindful of how Twain's pop stardom lost her some support at country radio. Until recently, they'd never released two different singles simultaneously to separate markets. But this spring, they took a chance and went with the neo-bluegrass "Mean" for country, and the guitar-charged "Story of Us" for pop radio.

"'Mean' tells a story about the fact that no one gets to go through life without getting picked on," says Swift. "That was a song that I wrote when I felt completely powerless." That word would hardly seem to describe Swift, but she took comments from critics who were saying she "can't sing" -- like industry blogger Bob Lefsetz, who turned on her -- and responded with an upbeat, banjo-inflected stomper that became a rallying cry for the national anti-bullying movement.

"I don't feel like I necessarily have to win over every last person," she says. "Knowing that Kris Kristofferson's opinion [of me] is a positive one is going to have me floating on a cloud for weeks and months."

On the pop side of Swift's dual format assault, "Story of Us" is believed to be about nearly encountering Mayer at the Country Music Television Awards last year. "It's a moment I'm glad I was able to represent in a song, when you run into someone that you used to be in love with, but now that's gone, and all that you have is drama and the desperation and the horrible feeling of awkwardness and not knowing what to do or where to stand or how to act natural." She pauses. "That, as well as that I just like seeing how the crowd jumps up and down when I play it."

From: http://www.billboard.com/#/features/taylor-swift-top-artist-finalist-interview-1005179542.story?page=2

I have read this thing over and over again and I don't see how anyone thought that "Mean" and "The Story of Us" were released as a single together? I think it was that "dual format assault" but that was whoever wrote this article's way of saying they were being released at the same time to two separate radio stations, "Mean" for country and "The Story of Us" for pop. Though technically they weren't released at the same time. They were released a month apart from each other. So how does that make them the 3rd single? And where'd the whole double-a side thing come from? And where in this article does it say that? Cause if you look at the link for double a-side you'll see it doesn't say what wikipedia says a double a-side is. JamesAlan1986 (talk-Contributes) 13:44, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

You seem to be correct.  Chickenmonkey  19:41, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
