Environmental Defense Fund Europe[edit]

Hi there, many thanks for reviewing Environmental Defense Fund Europe, much appreciated. You said there weren't enough references present, can you let me know how many more should be added, and perhaps give an example where one is needed? Many thanks again. Robccfc (talk) 16:06, 18 September 2019 (UTC) robccfc[reply]

  • Robccfc The amount of references doesn't really matter but its all about the quality of the source. Every content added to a page needs to be referenced if not it will be removed. Read more at WP:IC. Lapablo (talk) 21:23, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Draft: Wax Digital[edit]

Hello, thanks for reviewing this post. I spoke to someone on the live chat and removed some sections, I just wanted to check to see if the way this page is now written is still seen to be like an advert?

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I was in the process of reviewing this draft when you declined it. Did you have a look at the sources I listed on the draft's talk page? It looked like significant coverage in reliable sources. ~Kvng (talk) 14:24, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Kvng, I think the under review tag had been there for two days before being removed by I dream of horses. Unfortunately i never checked the talk page for the sources you added and i have just done that now, i'm not certain those sources are good enough, the third one however is from Businesswire hence a press release. Let me know what you think. Lapablo (talk) 14:40, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No foul removing the under-review tag. This is borderline and WP:NCORP is a high bar these days so we'll go with your judgement on it. ~Kvng (talk) 14:51, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your policy is destructive[edit]

Please do not destroy contributions of other people. Xx236 (talk) 08:47, 9 December 2019 (UTC) "This editor is a deletionist." And I am an anti-Vandal. Xx236 (talk) 09:02, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like this is in mainspace now. It's still heavily biased towards promoting Valencia, but since you already pushed it back once to draft, we can't really do that again. Should it be up for AFD? There are a handful of news articles from the local Arizona papers that cover his involvement. In the meantime, I have tagged his article for autobio (obvious COI), notability and advertising until that can be cleaned up by a neutral editor. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:47, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@AngusWOOF:, exactly my only problem with the article. Initially he created the article to promote creating a county that doesn't exist, the local sources are quite thin, the vogue article is a passing mention and nothing more really... I think AFD is right for this one. Lapablo (talk) 04:43, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Lapablo, some of the local Arizona sources show significant coverage, like Arizona Daily Sun and White Mountain Independent where they dig into his background. Others, I agree are passing mentions like with his book reviews. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:03, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Lapablo, I would check if he even has a chance of meeting WP:BASIC. If he's borderline, then we can scrub out the article to keep it neutral, and there's no chance he is notable, then AFD would be appropriate. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:28, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks For Reviewing My Article[edit]

I noticed you reviewed by article titled Kelvin Ikeduba I had become worried since my last 10+ articles had been unreviewed I even almost thought my account must have been faulty or something but pheewww what a relief it isn’t faulty after all. Thanks once more.Celestina007 (talk) 02:54, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Celestina007:, You're pretty much welcome. Nice job on creating the article, sometimes it actually takes time before your article can be seen or patrolled. There's just a bunch of articles laying around on NPR. keep it up. Lapablo (talk) 18:26, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Silly Me[edit]

It seems we both were reviewing the Jeremiah Red article coincidently at the same time whilst I opened an AFD, you requested a speedy delete now I honestly do not know if or not to remove the AFD notice or leave it there. I’m as confused as they come right now 🤦‍♀️Celestina007 (talk) 19:42, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Celestina007:, Hahaha it happens, you can withdraw nomination of article from AFD if you know the procedure for non-admin closure or you can also leave it for an admin to fix. Lapablo (talk) 19:49, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Need Your Help in Improving the article and Support New Writers[edit]

To Improve a person try and try again, need your support and guidance to improve the article, Just a thought if every article is removed within few week other contributors will not be able to contribute to it. The whole idea of Wikipedia was to improve the article thru various edits from people from all walks of life. I think minimum 6 month for an article for it grow organically is important. You are experts if you keep deleting the new articles, we cannot grow nor the article. I request you to help me with this article.Miles249 (talk) 11:45, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There's no requirement that authors respond to reviewer requests. It's also valid for reviewers to skip refbombed submissions. You declined this for not establishing notability. Did you actually review the 37 refs to make this determination? ~Kvng (talk) 14:49, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't aware of the first two points, we are all learning here everyday. I had gone through most of the references and even searched GNEWS and GBOOKS the sources were scanty hence why i declined. Lapablo (talk) 18:18, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your suggestion on the article[edit]

Hello Lapablo, I am a new Wikipedia user trying to create my first article. I had submitted Draft: Meghshala. It was 4 months ago reviewed by you and rejected, primarily because I had breadth in terms of citations but all of them had passing reference about Meghshala. However, recently an independent research work done by research team got accepted into ACM journal. The paper deals in entirety with Meghshala. I was wondering, if that article helps the draft to get published. I had spent significant time on this and I would hate to let it go wasted. I also understand, I might be in minor conflict as my research team did research around the impact of their intervention. However, I have mentioned that clearly on the talk page and I have tried to maintain a neutral point of view while writing about them. My main motivation of writing about Meghshala was that as we evaluated them, it would be an easy article to write about as a beginner. I would really appreaciate any help in this concern.

Article in draft[edit]

Hello Lapablo, I appreciate your concern on my article " Draft:Baskut Tuncak". Of course regulations are important but I want to ask your help. That was the first article I created when I almost knew nothing about Wikipedia rules. So it had problems.I then worked on it more than five times, and put a lot of time on it, but it stayed in draft until I got frustrated and gave it up. Now may be you can tell me what to do with it. Thanks for your time. Alex-h (talk) 13:46, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Alex-h I will request a refund on the article, subjects seems notable. Lapablo (talk) 11:10, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Lapablo, did you request a "refund", as you said you would? As far as I can see after this post telling Lapablo you would, you just went on to nominate dozens of other pages for deletion, and I have not managed to find any record of your having posted anything anywhere relating to this draft.
Alex-h Luckily I happened to see your request, and I have restored the draft for you. JBW (talk) 21:34, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kendall Hunt Publishing Company[edit]

Hello Lapablo

You were exceptionally fast. Before I had finished writing my article and built in the sources, it was already gone. At least not deleted, but in the draft. It would be nice to move it back again, because I don't want to wait 4 months for a pitiful reviewer to look at it. In the last 15 years I have not only done 11000 edits but also written about 2800 new articles, 2700 of which met the Wikipeida criteria and therefore remained standing (Many of the deleted articles concerned French-speaking Switzerland and were deleted in the time by French wikipedians by applying relevance criteria from France to Switzerland). I mention this only to show that I know Wikipedia and know that the sources must be indicated. Eruedin (talk) 22:45, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Eruedin, The subject seems notable that's why i decided to move to draft so it could give you time to add the necessary sources without article being deleted. I will go through the article later today. Lapablo (talk) 07:36, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Central Asian-American Enterprise Fund[edit]

Hi Lapablo, apparently you are mistaken that it has been over 6 months since I have edited the article, as I most recently made additions/changes to it in December, I believe. Actually, I have made several additions to expand and improve the article, since it was put into a draft holding place. How did you fail to see that? If you have deleted the article on the premise that it was not edited than you have made a mistake, and I would like the article restored. In fact, it is very likely good enough now in its current shape to be posted as a restored article, which is what I would like done. Thank you... Stevenmitchell (talk) 00:39, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stevenmitchell well if that were true i'm sure it wouldn't be deleted. Any article that makes it to the stale draft database is most certainly fit the criteria under WP:G13 as the draft was not edited in over 6 months. You can however request that the article be put back into draft via WP:REFUND or contact deleting administrator. Lapablo (talk) 08:45, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Lapablo. Yes, you are partially correct in that the article has not been revised in 6 months. However, 6 months ago, the article had been finished in its draft place revision over the course of the previous 8 months or so, so that is why the article shows no revisions since August 20 of 2019 (which would still make it less than 6 months according to my records). Until your deletion, this article had been sitting in a draft holding place for longer than the past year, when it was originally placed in a draft holding place. I assumed it would be republished when it was reviewed upon its expiration, and compared to the original article that was nominated for deletion - its original 6 month wait period having expired sometime in the early summer of 2019 - and that it would be approved following the duration of that period. However, that has not happened and instead you have, without any knowledge of the article's previous history, deleted it. How do I get it restored, reviewed and republished as a viable, live article on Wikipedia? Stevenmitchell (talk) 22:10, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
So who is the deleting administrator, since you have deleted all of the information? I would need that name and the information to have it restored and published. I didn't realize until I read your front page that you are just an editor like I am, with no administrative authority... Stevenmitchell (talk) 22:26, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Fastily, Author of Draft:Central Asian-American Enterprise Fund is requesting WP:REFUND for his draft. Kindly help with this. Lapablo (talk) 11:16, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Article on Vasily Stavitsky[edit]

Hi, Lapablo!

I'm currently working on the article Vasily Stavitsky, which you moved to a draft.

I do realize it is still work in progress, and I'm willing to improve the article. I would appreciate any pointers from you such as what should be done to improve the quality of the article.

Providing more references is one thing, and I'm currently working on it. Is there anything else you would recommend me to do?

--Document hippo (talk) 08:49, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I particular, I see three directions in which the article could be improved:

1) Stavitsky is an author of several nonfiction books, as well as several volumes of poetry. They could be listed in the article.

2) Various biography trivia such as membership in organizations, occupations, awards, etc. His views on the current situation in the world, etc.

3) While working as a head of public relations of the FSB in 1999-2000, Stavitsky made numerous remarks about contemporary events which have been reflected in the media. So I could include the section about his work in the FSB, which is especially useful in terms of adding more references.

What do you think?

Hi. How do I undo the damage that you have done in the deletion of an article that was ready to be published? How do I actually get this thing restored? Stevenmitchell (talk) 02:15, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree about reverting a page to draft, not permitting other Users (mainly from Indonesia) to contribute to it, and organically expanding it.

By reverting it to Draft and consequently requesting only to the same user (me) to improve it, you prevent others to help slowly developing the page via many contributions, as per Wikipedia usual standards. Additionally after reverting it to draft, and already making clear your position, you also nominated yourself as the reviewer of the draft, making this the most undemocratic process ever witnessed on Wikipedia. The page has indeed a number of references (adequate to a 230 bytes length), and after adding further Book sources you still rejected it. Let others reviewing and work on it. Just as info I created a number of pages in different fields that tend to have an average of 200-300 readers x day. I believe Okezone would possibly attract the same interest, or similar to the pages related to other top 20 websites more clicked globally. Goodwillgames (talk) 10:30, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Goodwillgames, for a website ranked 23rd on the "most clicked website in the world" there should be more sources to support the article online. The sources you provided are however NOT sufficient. I have also removed Okezone from List of most popular websites which you added yourself. kindly read WP:RS and WP:SIGCOV to get a better idea of what is needed. Lapablo (talk) 10:53, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Leave the page on, and some of the 100 million people living in Indonesia shall add more sources within hours Goodwillgames (talk) 10:57, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The page created has more sources than the same page created in Wikipedia Indonesia id:Okezone.com. You are not the correct reviewer for this page, as you seem focused or interested on Western or European only related topics. Let a reviewer in Asia to decide if the sources are not adequate and if the page is relevant enough Goodwillgames (talk) 11:26, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have signalled me for vandalism for linking a Wikipedia page to an existing Wikipedia Indonesia page. My draft was absolutely sound, with enough references and drafted by translating the corresponding article on Wikipedia Indonesia (created in 2007). Your attempt not to permit the creation of the article by removing Okezone from the page List of most popular websites shows your non neutral instance not to permit to any users to develop this topic or to allow my draft to successfully pass a review. I don't think you are showing much integrity on this instance, apart from your will to be a deletionist Goodwillgames (talk) 14:04, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Carpages.ca[edit]

Hello Lapablo. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Carpages.ca, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: It needs work, but it's not unsalvegable. Sources and award nomination enough for A7. No comment on GNG. Thank you. GedUK  10:20, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lapablo

Thanks for your review of my Experience Travel Group page. Can you provide more specific feedback onto which citations didn't meet Wikipedia's expectations so I can edit them or remove that particular topic?

Feel confused about the references[edit]

Hi, I do not understand why my references are not reliable.

All of them are quoted from the websites of:

1) Nasdaq
2) Cboe Global Markets Inc.
3) Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX)
4) ShangHai Stock Exchange
5) ShenZhen Stock Exchange (SZSE)
6) The State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China (中华人民共和国国务院新闻办公室)
7) News media

Could you please kindly point out which one is not reliable?
And also what else are further needed.
Feel free to ask for more information or elaboration.
Thank you so much.

Articles for Creation: List of reviewers by subject notice[edit]

Hi Lapablo, you are receiving this notice because you are listed as an active Articles for Creation reviewer.

Recently a list of reviewers by area of expertise was created. This notice is being sent out to alert you to the existence of that list, and to encourage you to add your name to it. If you or other reviewers come across articles in the queue where an acceptance/decline hinges on specialist knowledge, this list should serve to facilitate contact with a fellow reviewer.

To end on a positive note, the backlog has dropped below 1,500, so thanks for all of the hard work some of you have been putting into the AfC process!

Sent to all Articles for Creation reviewers as a one-time notice. To opt-out of all massmessage mailings, you may add Category:Wikipedians who opt out of message delivery to your user talk page. Regards, Sam-2727 (talk)

Article on Jeffries[edit]

Hello, I would encourage you to re-look at the page as I added substantial information, at least 3 articles that show extended coverage (New York Times, Washington Post, Fortune) that are not "trivial mentions", as well a book on New York Real Estate that featured him in one chapter, in addition to his new mixed-use development formula being featured in a hotel management textbook, and multiple other articles that featured him in interviews and so on. Every sentence is at least supported with one reference. I don't know what else I need to do to fit the notability criteria. CatchedY (talk) 23:11, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for trying to improve the article. Turns out I found the same article you did about the spying but if you read it well, Feldman only gets a passing mention. Gonen Segev was the person that was arrested and an Israeli Independence Day party hosted by Feldman was mentioned. I couldn’t find any information that Feldman was investigated let alone arrested and charges. But if you find anything that states Feldman was charged, feel free to add it! Hello,

I have cited top world sites where are idayat articles appear, sites like Washington post, the hill, BBC. so I seem to don't understand what you mean by reliable sources.

Is the BBC not a reliable source? Is All African not a reliable source Is the Hill not a reliable source? Is Washinton's post not a reliable source? Is New York times not a reliable source? Is chartam house not a reliable source?

Pls kindly answer. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kayhan2341 (talkcontribs) 13:29, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Kayhan2341: My main reason for moving page was "Needs to be generally re-written to conform with Wikipedia guidelines, currently it serves to promote the subject", the subject may or may not be notable that you've cited sources like BBC, other reliable soruces which i have gone through are all in passing mention, an article she wrote or authored on her own cannot be used as a source. Bernard Manyenyeni moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Bernard Manyenyeni, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 14:15, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Manns[edit]

Hey. You very kindly reviewed my second article attempt recently, which was for Jonathan Manns. I had tried to provide a wide variety of sources which reference his work/thought (ie. books and newspapers), where these seemed relevant and high quality. Whilst I very-much appreciate all the work you've done so far, I wonder whether you might be able to suggest how it could be improved? Is there any area in particular you think needs further referencing, for example, to make this suitable for publication? There's a fair amount on Google, so I'm confident that I could expand the content or provide more references for some of the news items if this would help? . . . . You'll see I've now added further sources, all from print publications in inter/national mainstream and trade media, to reinforce the points made. I'm now at 64 references. It would be good to get a steer on where further reinforcement would be beneficial. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Turningworldly (talkcontribs) 14:00, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks for your reply. I'm not getting paid for this article and I drafted this article just out of my curiosity for the Electric vehicles and the EV trend in India. My article is neutral and I have tried to share all the available knowledge through that article. Please let me know the steps to prove that I'm not getting paid. Thanks!

@Bhasinarjun: there are a couple of policies & guidelines you should familiarize yourself with before proceeding to resubmit the article. In this case I’d say start with WP:YFA, then proceed to WP:GNG. Once you've understood the policies and feel that the page meets all policies you can resubmit. Lapablo (talk) 19:03, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Lapablo: Thank you so much for sharing the links. Now, I'm confident enough that I'm in the right direction and my article meets all the requirements. In-fact I have also added the required citations for the reference. The citation links are also from independent press houses. I would again like to confirm that no monetary exchange is involved in my actions and the article is widely covered by the Indian media in the past 1 year. Thanks!

Draftspace[edit]

Hi You have recently moved two main shipping lines to the Draft space. I only created these articles because they already exist in German. Sources in German are enough for notability rules. Could you Revert your move? Thanks --Arorae (talk) 21:32, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Arorae: Yes i made a revert on the two articles about the shipping line because you can't just create articles in mainspace without adding any sources even though they're in German. Once you add necessary sources i will be very happy to move and review for you in mainspace, Best regards. Lapablo (talk) 21:35, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your move to Draft space was unnecessary[edit]

Ministry of Environment, Lands and Agricultural Development has been replaced again in the Main with all the other (stub and still incomplete) articles of the Cabinet of Kiribati. I do hope that on next time or next occasion, you will be a little more aware, respectful and a little more open-minded — in my very humble opinion —. Of course, even if you was not of the same idea, I would like to let you know this situation. With my best regards.-Arorae (talk) 02:28, 2 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 10:42:53, 4 August 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by Aleksas The True[edit]

Dear Lapablo,

Thank you for your quick review. I declared my conflict of interest writing an article about Paysera. At the same time I made my best trying to write as neutral as possible as there is no such article in English. It's a pity because it is international company. I can probably agree that some data lacks sources. Half information were taken from company's web page and I did not want to repeat. My mistake.

Still, I wonder why did it appear as an advertisement because the structure of sentences and structure of whole article is based on the existing Wikipedia articles about biggest payment gateway and digital payment companies: Paypal, Stripe, Monese, Revolut.

What concerns advertisement, please let me understand:

Is it wrong to say that "our company has the biggest market share", if this is true and the source is central bank? Is it wrong to list several services in neutral manner with no call to action" or saying that their are leading services, etc, if other market participants (or other contributors) do list companies services?

I would be grateful if you would help to make the article meet Wikipedia requirements. Especially since the published article could be updated in by other Wikipedia contributors when such a possibility does not exist at present.

You have caused much damage, face the consequences[edit]

Hello Lapablo, You are a senior editor deleting articles at will without consideration of how the creators of such articles feel after putting in so much effort in creating them. I created an article with no conflict of interest but you came and took it down for being under sourced. Did you know how I felt? But now you have to have a feel of what we feel when you delete articles. I want to make sure that you are blocked from editing WP. This is not your father's property but you took it upon yourself to destroy other people's efforts. But what do you gain from such behavior. At last you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia and when this is done I will be happy. I will also stop editing Wikipedia because I have nothing to lose when I do so. I have no special interest here. I only do it to contribute to this pool of knowledge. All three articles I created here were taken down by you within three weeks of creation as if you were the only editor here. My grievance with you is that you do not obey rules. You placed yourself above the the rules and its very bad. Supolsanko (talk) 19:10, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Lapablo. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Lapablo. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Lapablo|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. @Lapabo: This is a major producer for major rap and r&b artists who works for Kanye West's label G.O.O.D. Music. Because he is a music producer and doesn't do interviews, he is not the major feature of any articles. His discography speaks for itself. I don't understand why he can't have a wikipedia page with mentions in articles that confirm his works of music. Please advise. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BipBip53 (talkcontribs) 14:27, August 15, 2020 (UTC)

Hope you are great in past you have reviewed few of my articles, i usually create the article direct and don't use draft but this time my drafts are taking longer time than usual. Can i blank the draft and publish the article direct if Wikipedia allows? the articles are passing WP:GNG WP:NPOV and of course notable.

Ifiesimama Melvin Sekibo (talk) 16:07, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Review of Ifiesimama Melvin Sekibo[edit]

Ifiesimama Sekibo deserves a Wikipedia Page   Dear Editor, Top of the day to you. This appeal is in respect of the Wikipedia page being planned for Mr. Ifiesimama Sekibo, the pioneer Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Bank, Nigeria’s most innovative bank, since 2014.

We understand your efforts in making sure that the page is not over flogged but it is our belief that the page will become richer if Mr. Sekibo’s profile is listed among the many accomplished personalities and institutions therein.

With a degree in accountancy from the University of Science & Technology, Port Harcourt, he is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School OPM Class (2006-2009), and has a Ph.D. Credit Management from the London Post Graduate Credit Management College, UK, an affiliate of American University, London.

Mr. Sekibo is a respected banker in Nigeria renown for returning moribund institutions to the path of sustained profitability. Some of the institutions he had led to the path of profit was Monipulo Limited, a petroleum development company as its Financial Controller/Head of Admin from 1999 to 2002, from where he moved to International Energy Insurance (IEI) Plc as the Group Managing Director from 2003 to 2009 before moving to Heritage Bank in late 2009 and went on to lead the team to acquire Enterprise Bank and got a national license which made Heritage Bank a national bank in 2014.

Heritage Bank’s success is based on its excellent service culture hinged on partnering with the customer to create wealth through the provision of seamless banking experience, accurate and relevant information to its customers across Nigeria and a part of this is attributable to the impact of Mr. Sekibo.

Heritage Bank’s success story which began on March 4, 2012, is a story of hard work and determination. When IEI Investments Ltd acquired Societe Generale Bank of Nigeria (SGBN) license from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, after meeting all requirements by Nigeria’s apex bank. Heritage Bank Plc was born and began its operations in Nigeria as a regional bank on March 14, 2013. After acquiring the license and structure of the old SGBN which was closed down by the CBN for failing to meet the new capital requirements of N25 billion or $155 million for a national bank in January 2006, Heritage Bank returned 100 percent of existing SGBN account holders’ money which were frozen at the closure of the SGBN. This move brought a lot of smiles to the faces of former account holders with a majority of them having the confidence to continue to bank with Heritage. This was the beginning of a success story of a bank that was dead for 10years before it was resurrected by Mr. Ifie Sekibo and his team.

Part of the innovations from Heritage Bank started when it introduced a zero Cost of Transaction to its customers in April 2013, implying that there would be no hidden charges as it continued its quest for 100 percent customer satisfaction. Heritage Bank also set a standard when it launched its pilot ‘Corner Shop’ to cater to traders at the Gbagada Plank Market in Gbagada Estate, Lagos to ease banking. The ‘Corner Shop’ was widely received and appreciated by the Gbagada traders as it saved them the time and money to visit a bank branch kilometers away.

Heritage Bank was not done yet. The bank went further to prove its trend-setting profile by introducing Nigeria’s first pioneer portable POS solution named ‘PortaPOS”. The Heritage PortaPOS which is free to all Heritage Bank customers can accept all EMV chip and PIN cards, MasterCard, Verve and Visa cards. It is portable and light as a regular mobile phone and has a long-lasting and rechargeable battery. It also syncs with phones and printers via Bluetooth technology!

Aside from the attempt to record his contributions to humanity with the Wikipedia listing, he is a known mentor of the youths in Nigeria and Africa. Sekibo has been involved in mentoring the youths over the years despite his busy schedule. He is involved in mentorship and giving direction to the youths and has led several business forums for entrepreneurs and mentorship sessions both within Nigeria and outside Nigeria.

We will be glad if his Wikipedia page can be speedily approved for the young and upcoming generation to know about his exploits and how he is interested in the growth of the country, especially with the partnership with Dukia Gold, where Heritage Bank, under him wants to be part of those that will boost Nigeria’s economy from a mono-dependent one to that generating revenue from multiple sources. His exploits can be gotten under Heritage Bank Wikipedia page. Thank you

Speedy deletion on wrong grounds[edit]

Hi Lapablo, thank you for reviewing the page I created today about the musician and composer David August. I have read through all the information on the notability criteria and David August meets more than one of those criteria. His music has been released on multiple notable record labels, he has toured worldwide over the last decade and has been covered by all of the most notable dance music media outlets. Could you please be more clear on why exactly his page has been nominated for speedy deletion?

Thank you for reviewing the article. I agree, at the time I originally submitted it, the subject had not yet received significant enough coverage in any reliable secondary sources. Draft: IceTre[edit]

Hello an article that was submitted from Draft to Approval, “IceTre” was placed back into the draft stage with an acceptable reasoning. This is what was put

“This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia”.

Now with that being said, #11 states “Has been placed in rotation nationally by a major radio or music television network”. And #12 states “Has been a featured subject of a substantial broadcast segment across a national radio or television network”.

Their is capability within caliber to have the musician featured across major television networks such as VH1, BET Jams, MTV, Music Choice, etc. If the artist obtains the television network placements, with links and proof, would that be enough to suffice an approval? There is just an understanding of being on the same page so if so then the team can get working on the task. Thank you. Bunkytrap34 (talk) 08:28, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

When you say "The Team" are you referring the media team of IceTre? If so please read Conflict of Interest and make necessary disclosure. Lapablo (talk) 18:07, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No, the team of researchers that have web crawled information for the article in question, such as correct citational links. This has been implemented from the beginning of the article’s Draft stage to ensure the proper insertion of relevant information which has been done independently from the article subject and their media relations.
