Replaceable fair use File:Taesecrying.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Taesecrying.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Martin H. (talk) 16:11, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[edit]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you.

Your recent edit to AC/DC (electricity) has been reverted because there was no edit summary describing the edit that you had made, and it was impossible to actually see what you had done. Your edit history shows that you do not leave a summary of your edit. as a matter of routine. Your talk page also reveals that this has been drawn to your attention before. Any editor is free to revert any edit where there is no edit summary given. Whilst I am not accusing you of any malfeasance, the lack of an edit summary is a frequent indication of an edit that vandalises an article - which is why it can be reverted. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Christian Ziege, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Free kick (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Caixas[edit]

Tchau! --AL (talk) 14:52, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem: Flamur Kastrati[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as your addition to Flamur Kastrati in March 2011, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. Your addition appears to contain material copied from http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/14032011/58/bundesliga-footballer-collapses-pitch-germany.html, and therefore to constitute a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policies. The copyrighted text has been rewritten. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Rory Delap[edit]

Hi, just letting you know I've reverted your recent edit at Rory Delap. The 'currentclub' parameter should be left empty if the player is not attached to a club, as 'Free agent' isn't a club. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 23:19, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Players scheduled to leave (example Andrei Arshavin)[edit]

Hi. I just wanted to ask if you knew why, exactly, Arshavin for example will have to be classified as an Arsenal player until the 30 June on here. I can understand that to some extent, as he's still receiving pay-checks, I imagine (or at the very least he's been paid for "this month"). Knowing he'll leave though, I'd think it's safe to say that he played for them from 2009-2013, as that's irrefutable. finval (talk) 01:33, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In fact, having scouted the articles of many players being released from Premier Division clubs other than Arsenal, they're all listed as free agents who competed for their former club until 2013. I see you reverted this on the page on Squillaci and Arshavin. Those pages were, after that, the odd ones out. finval (talk) 01:40, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit conflicts[edit]

Please be careful when editing as when you edited Nemanja Matić, you removed and reverted previous edits changing his club in the lead to chelsea from Benfica. This may have been caused by an edit conflict however it also meant a reference and navbox was removed that wasn't re-added when you rectified the mistake. Just wanted to remind you to check if edit conflicts occur or use preview when they don't. ThanksBlethering Scot 17:17, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for restoring the lede on this page ... it had been removed together with the 'infobox' a few edits back; "Download my mixtape" was put in their place. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. "image_size" parameter[edit]

Hi Sepguilherme, thanks for adding images to footballers' infoboxes. Good work! The "image_size" parameter is deprecated. Going forward, please use "upright" instead. See WP:IMAGESIZE and MOS:UPRIGHT. I've removed "image_size" at Carlos Gamarra and André Onana. Robby.is.on (talk) 13:40, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. :-) Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 15:23, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
