Wugang (simplified Chinese: 武冈; traditional Chinese: 武岡; pinyin: Wǔgāng) is a county-level city under the administration of Shaoyang, in southwestern Hunan province, People's Republic of China.
Dialect
The Wugang dialect is spoken in Wugang.
History
Wugang is mostly populated by Xiang Han Chinese.
Some members of the Yao minority live in Wugang.[1][2] One branch of the Wugang Yao were known as "Tang" (擋).[3]
