When did women gain Universal Suffrage (the ability to have the same rights as men to vote) in Switzerland? Was it when they were granted the right to vote at the federal level, but not the local level, in 1971? Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard

Should any article written by Sydney Zatz on Royal Central be depreciated? The reason why I ask was because I found this article by the author on Royal Central which appeared to have directly copied a paragraph from our Queen of Rhodesia article. When I raised the initial discussion at RSN, @Mhawk10: made the point that WP:EARWIG shows that a number of her other articles also seem to copy from Wikipedia without attribution (example here but rest on RSN link). I sent an email through Royal Central's "Contact Us" page telling them of it about a month ago and had no reply and little advice from RSN on followup. But given this history of this author for seeming to use Wikipedia content without attribution, I would like to ask the community for their comments on this proposal or if it should be extended to all of Royal Central.

Greetings, politics lovers!

Since the Respect for Marriage Act will be broadening the definition of marriage to anything we want it to be, I'm thinking of how we can uniformly address marriage issues in articles, especially about political views.

• "Traditional marriage" is a political term often used by conservatives, which tends to refer to "one-man, one-woman" complementarianism and additionally, child-bearing couples and permanent unions without divorce. Unfortunately not many supporters of Traditional Marriage can really agree on what it means.
• "Same-sex marriage" is of course a specific and recent issue which is narrow in scope.
• "Marriage equality" is a broadly inclusive political term, and I would argue that it's equivalent to "traditional marriage" in WP:POV political framing; they're both buzzwords or Shibboleths indicating support for a specific tapestry of beliefs about gender. "Marriage equality" as a neologism may also be as poorly-defined as "Traditional marriage" and subject to shifting connotations as time advances.

• Now, generally in political articles we've been writing about how politicians oppose or support same-sex marriage. BUt in light of RFMA, I don't think that narrow scope suffices anymore. I also oppose the expansion of our use of the term "marriage equality" because we've already been down that road with pro-life and pro-choice and the overwhelming consensus is to use neither term due to its political implications.

RFC question: How should the political issue of "marriage" be framed in political articles?

1. Continue to frame marriage issues, and section headings, in terms of opposition/support for same-sex marriage?
2. Refer neutrally to "Marriage" in section headings, and address nuances in prose?
3. Turn to a duality of "traditional marriage" vs. "marriage equality" framing?
4. None of the above: but avoid ideologically-framed terms in favor of something else?

How should the section & subsections be shown in this article?

1. Keep United Kingdom as top section. Then have the other realms listed under a separate section or as a sub-section called Other Commonwealth realms. Leave section on royal titles at article bottom.
2. Create new top section Composition to include general overview, compare typical to UK's anomalous, and merge in section on differences in royal titles; make remainder of UK's section a sub-section of Commonwealth realms, placed in alphabetical order; or a variant thereof.

Which version should be used?

Option 1: In 2009, Chou moved to Las Vegas and became a landlord with his wife. According to Balmore Orellana, a former tenant and neighbor of Chou, he was a considerate landlord as Chou did not raise his rent throughout the time that he lived there, but was verbally aggressive toward his wife as he would hear Chou yelling through the walls. In the wake of the shooting Orellana also recalled Chou telling him that he identified as Chinese despite his Taiwanese nationality, and believed that China and Taiwan were one country. In the mid 2010s Chou was almost beaten to death by two tenants who were in arrears; Orellana said the attack left him with scars all over his body and was a harbinger of the decline in his mental stability.

Option 2: According to his former neighbor, Chou was once a friendly owner of a Las Vegas apartment building. In 2012 he suffered a nearly fatal attack by two tenants over rent that led to a loss of consciousness, a broken skull, elbow, and partial hearing loss. He also suspected that police detectives tried to withhold a bag with his money before the prosecuter was involved and his bag was finally recovered.

PROPOSAL .... To add Template:List criteria to the talkpage header, as stated in the template documentation, and include the following statement of list criteria:

To be included on this list in WP:WIKIVOICE, the event must have been described as a coup or coup attempt by the majority of historians commenting in the available WP:Reliable sources. Other events may be included with regard to due WP:WEIGHT and using WP:INTEXT attribution if (A) the event included physical violence and (B) a significant portion of WP:NOTABLE commenters have described the event as a coup or coup attempt.

Advantages

• Establishes list criteria without introducing any new vocabularly to enter the WikiLawyer lexicon.
• Uses Template:List criteria to document the consensus
• This proposal is formatted in expectation we will be asking an uninvolved ed to determine consensus and do non-admin closure.
